RecForge is a high quality sound recorder.

It allows to Record, Edit and Share sounds, voices, notes, musics or any other audio.

- The Lite version has all the features of the pro version, but ogg and mp3 recording are paused every 3 minutes (no limit for wav), just press the pause button to continue. Try it before buying the pro version.

Disappointed I wrote this developer months and many versions ago about a bug with continuing recordings. It's never been fixed. I started using Easy Voice Recorder, then Easy Voice Recorder Pro by DIGIPOM and never looked back. Easy Voice Recorder Pro does everything I want and need, does it well, and is easy to use. It has replaced my handheld digital recorder. Plus, the developer is very, very responsive and wonderful to work with. I am uninstalling RecForge after I save this review.

Don't record 2 then edit. If you record multiple recordings you can't go back to edit them let alone play them. The sound quality is good but the editing features kinda suck as far as you can't zoom in to far, you can't copy and paste in the audio to have multiple sounds at once, can't layer, and the only thing you can copy and paste is the audio inn its while. Needs to have work done before is worth that much money.

Very happy Glad i purchased this app. It doesn't cost much but it is good quality. It takes a little time to work out how to use it fully especially learning to adjust recording levels before recording(easy once you are familiar where everything is located) and how to delete, file and edit. The recording quality is brilliant..no distortions that i have experienced.

Really useful! This is great, I have started to record my sleep talking using a different app and I have very long files of snoring, so now I can transfer them into this app edit out all the snoring and just keep the speech. This is the first time I have used a sound editor but it is very simple to grasp. I look forward to using this for other projects as well.

Still some issues Excellent app but v2.1.9 is still flakey on Galaxy S2 using ICS. Recorded a 3hr meeting fine, next day it failed to record a 2hr meeting. Both started via Widget. Failed one says unknown format and just a few KB in size. Plenty of free space.

Awkward, but records ogg audio! The interface is very non-intuitive, with hidden functions here and there and some items (like the checkbox for 'edit mode') being totally unexplained and hiding in windows that don't seem to relate to anything specifically. As for audio quality, it seems alright (and as I said, it does record ogg, which is nice), but you can't record onto the end of an ogg recording like you can an mp3 or wav. Also, recordings seem to skip, which makes them hard to listen to. (Samsung galaxy s 4g).

Outstanding! Thank you! This works wonder on a first-generation Motorola Atrix, especially with the back stereo capsule microphone! Any chance of being able to set the bitrate / quality level of the mp3 and Ogg Vorbis encoder? Anything above quality 8 is overkill for Vorbis. Also please consider (If it can be ported) including FLAC as an encoder. Keep up the awesome work!

Fantastic recorder The best! Records in MP3 and wav, so i record everything in MP3. Great widget for instant recording of quick notes.easy to use. Needs better volume control-quicker access but you can always use phone buttons. Sometimes volume drops when changing to landscape on Galaxy Note.

By far the best I was hesitant to buy this program because I needed it on my tablet. I emailed the developer and asked that he make a version that worked in landscape mode too and within a week there was a landscape mode in the update! After scouring the app store for a good recorder for grabbing lectures in class this is far and away the best app out there. Looking forward to future improvements on an already great app.

Great, but the icons... Great recorder, tried most and this is my favourite for usability and features, but those awful tacky icons cheapen and spoil an otherwise very professional product, IMHO. Stops recording on its own!! I've tried to use this app to record meetings, only to discover afterward that the recording had stopped part-way through! This is maddening. The reviewer below indicates that it happens as a result of an incoming call or some other sort of notification, regardless of whether or not you even touch the phone! This could be a great app, but this glitch has got to be fixed first. If you are the developer reading this, please, PLEASE address this issue!!

Used to work well I have to place my phone in airplane mode to make sure calls do not interrupt the recording. Now recording stops after 30 min for no reason. Hope this gets fixed asap.

Great app but has some serious issues RecForge Pro stops recording when the phone receives a notification (in my case an alarm/clock notification). RecForge Pro also stops recording if you receive a call. whether you answer it or not the recording stops by itself. Therefore, if you use this app to record important meetings, lectures etc.. the recording will stop if one or both of the scenarios above occur and you'll lose the important audio from that point.

Best app for songwriting Most recording apps are intended for voice. This one can actually be used for documenting music as I'm writing, without distorting horribly. Even recording loud instruments works fairly well with the right settings. This app is a real god-send. Thanks dev! Side note: Depends on the quality of your mic. Sounds great using the mic on my HTC EVO, but is distorted when I record on my Moto Xoom tablet using the same settings.

Best Quality Sound Recording App I have tried almost every recording app on Android. This one is the best for quality purposes. I cannot speak for recording music, but for recording spoken voice this is the best... I use my Asus TF 201 and some cheap ear buds with a mic and it literally has better sound recording than my usb plantronics mic even after editing the audio in audacity on my pc (using the same amount of Hz and bitrate and file format). This app is pure quality. It only has a couple of downsides. It seems to be locked into portrait mode (not so bad if I wasn't docked into my Asus keyboard). The other thing is there are no editing options nor ability to record with bluetooth at the time (which tapemachine and others do have). The point is, if you are looking for clear sound quality for spoken voice this is the app. It does not work that great when you use the mic on the device. You need to plug in some headphones with a mic (I was using some cheap ones that came with my Samsung Galaxy S2).

Works well Happy with it so far. Wish the AGC was more aggressive about pumping up the recording volume for distant / quiet sources. User interface is confusing to find the manual gain control and playback speed. Speeded playback should be pitch-corrected, please. But sound quality is good and this is one of the few apps that will directly record in space-saving mp3 format.
