[2013-07-20] A Google User: ?? Why it iz not downloading in my Qmobile Andriod A2 |
[2013-06-29] A Google User: Will not connect Browser can connect. This app cannot. |
[2013-05-27] A Google User: Doesn't work App stuck on enabling Web server. All the other qnap apps work |
[2013-05-23] A Google User: No search. Ugly UI Would love a search facility. Do something please about the UI, very ugly... |
[2013-02-17] A Google User: It could be so much better! Limited features, poor searches , poor documentation. Light years behind playing music on an ipod. |
[2013-02-14] A Google User: Needs a decent buffer Playback constantly stutters over 3g. Would rate it higher if I could configure a buffer. Also needs a search tool. |
[2013-02-02] A Google User: Not great. Limited file format playback support. QFile Is a better option. |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: Qmobile Good for qmobile devices |
[2013-01-17] A Google User: Just doesn't work on samsung galaxy note 10.1 Hi i've got this on my iphone 4s and it works ok, but on my tablet it is absolute rubbish, it doesn't see any of my video files so far, i can play music but only when it decides to see music in the folder. It doesn't want to connect via the internet unlike the iphone version... come on qnap get it sorted... ASAP |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Not So Good... I would have give this app 5 stars if its setuo and connectivity is good it..takes lots of time to stream and connect to the multimedia even i tried on the wifi,.... |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Worthless app on an Android I can't see what I am picking to upload to the server. What good is uploading if I cant see what I am selecting. My wife's iPhone can see what she uploads. Get your stuff together QNAP. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Won't play video except mp4 How backward is that? Only supports mp4! |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Pretty good but not perfect Please make the 50 folder cap optional and/or configurable. It gets old really fast when you have thousands of artist folders to scroll through. Also stick to the ICS UX guide lines. Why reinvent the wheel? |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Need Help Hey any one can help me how can i use it.. it is asking for some type of qnap.. im unable to use it... please tell me the procedure. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Great application Works great if your NAS is set up properly. Use it all the time! |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Bad update Can no longer use music remote... Won't connect to server |
[2012-10-28] A Google User: Broken and unsupported. Unable to authenticate outside of LAN on all QNAP mobile apps on HTC Desire HD running anfroid 2. 3 and latest NAS firmware. Works fine on iPhone though. Support team ignored me then completely unhelpful. QNAP: Read your app reviews! Customers reporting major bugs all over the place! It's unnaceptable to ignore this. |
[2012-10-20] A Google User: Not useable Slow, unresponsive, only loads 50 folders at a time, takes 10s to switch tracks..... Pretty rubbish! |
[2012-10-20] A Google User: won't connect As title. Program stopped working properly on my phone since the last one or two updated version. Am using Galaxy S |
[2012-10-10] A Google User: Works Running as advertised on Vzw SGS3. And yes, more supported video codecs would be a plus, but not app related. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Just doesn't connect Rubbish |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: can't connect it finds my nas, but then it does not connect. |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Please update Please update sick I can use it with nexus 7. |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Poor performance The performance of this app is painfully slow. Trying to view photos when there are more than about 100 in a folder is almost impossible. The whole app needs rethinking. |
[2012-09-09] A Google User: ts 210 can't login |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: NAS TS-209 Pro Auto connect nor manual both fail. It suppose to be cool but.... I am dissapointed. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: Won't connect I have all 3 Official QNAP apps on my Nexus One and this is the only one that wont connect to my NAS. I think it may have something to do with the use of DynDNS. It is also made mostly redundant by Qfile, for which if you read my review is made redundant by a simple file browser you probably already have on your phone. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: Uploaded picture gone I can upload pictures but the pictures are never to be found on the server |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Update has broken connectivity Can no longer connect to any servers since update. |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: This app is a joke Dont even bother trying to setup a QNAP box with your mobile app. After all the headache you'll go through to get it working, you'll find out the app itself is completely useless. It doesn't even have the most basic of media functions for listening to mp3s. |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Still nothing Mp4 only is epicly lame. Months later and no new formats. |
[2012-08-18] A Google User: Latest update I couldnt connect after update. Had to completly readd nas to be able to reconnect. Pls remove 50 folder cap. Better music player with playlist creation would be nicr too |
[2012-08-17] A Google User: Not working Not able to connect anymore |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Why break it Worked brilliant until latest update. Now not working and no way back. |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Whats happened Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Was working perfectly until I upgraded to ICS. Now when I try to connect to the NAS - gives "cannot connect to server error". Connecting to NAS server via internet browser with same URL works fine...... Whats happened? ? |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Lacking in many ways... This app streams the allowed content wonderfully (mp4 under 2GB) even over 3G/4G. However, this app should be able to play all types of file types including MKV containers and more. Also, the size limit of the qnap media gallery (2GB) should be expanded. This is silly. All my content is 720p and range from 1GB-6GB in size, generally. |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Not recommend |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Poorly made Very sticky user interface |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: No connection established Can't even connect to server, with other devices no problem with connecting, even with other apps on same device... |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Excellent - mostly Come on guys, tell Google it's compatible with Jelly Bean! iPod, iPad, iPhone, HTC HD all brilliant, lovely jubbly. |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: keep up the good work gr8 app, works with HTC EVO and ViewSonic gTablet (TnT Lite 4.4.0), thnx QNAP! |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: XPERIA X10i v2.3.3 Works well. |
[2012-06-29] A Google User: Can't use for the file manager. Can only use to stream music and video. To use it for work or file management, forget it. |
[2012-06-27] A Google User: Where is the qfile for android Why bother upgrade this app, give me the qfile would be better |
[2012-06-27] A Google User: Easy to use Great way to access me personal hosted pictures. Would love a quick thumbnail preprepped mode. |
[2012-06-03] A Google User: useless can't connect at all |
[2012-05-30] A Google User: Upload problem Please try to modify can group select (not one by one select) upload to NAS. |
[2012-05-08] A Google User: Functional but impractical I had no problems configuring this program work in conjunction with my TS-201. However the program was rather annoying to use, my main reason is the limit of showing only 50 folders, then needing to scroll down and show 50 more folders, not useful for a music library of over 2000 artists. My next problem is that the app wouldn't keep the wifi on unless I set the wifi to never turn off when charging (inside the android system settings), and then using the charger also, the result is that the music would stop about 20 sec after the screen goes out if I didn't do both of these things. That's a simple permission fix which can easily be done by qnap. My solution was to use Bubble UPNP, works a charm. I suggest Qnap take a look at their competition. Ultimately the flaws I mentioned make this program impractal but not unusable. I really would have liked the official program to work better and expected much more from it. I gave you two stars because technically it worked even if it was borderline unusable. |
[2012-04-29] A Google User: Wont connect Have latest firmware & configs correct. Finds NAS ok. |
[2012-04-21] A Google User: Doesn't work for me I can log in through Android web browser but not app. I9100 cm9 |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Absolutely Brilliant. Bit tricky to set up but there's lots of help & advise on the QNAP Wiki, I even felt the need to contribute myself once I'd got it set. This will obviously only appeal to QNAP NAS users but if, as I do, you stream music & video to lap/netbooks wherever you are this is essential to have on your phone. The really great thing is that I can upload photos taken by the phone to my NAS. Everything's safe then. Also I don't need to use up lots on SD storage with music, I have access to all of my collection anywhere. |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: - My nas is on port 8082 non ssl and it won't connect to it even when I add :8082 to the server path. Needs remote administration and survilance station |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Excellent This works very well on my Galaxy Nexus after realizing that the user accounts are different and creating a non admin account for using it. |
[2012-03-10] A Google User: Not for QNap TS-101 ;( |
[2012-03-03] A Google User: Suck Cannot login |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Works Does exactly what it says on the tin. |
[2012-02-18] A Google User: Great app! Works great! I have my nas connected. Maybe should improve the format of movies not only mp4 |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Pretty much useless An app for remote administration would make much more sense! |
[2012-02-16] A Google User: Works perfectly as advertised If you can't get it to work, make sure you have everything set up correctly on your NAS and router. Works great on all of my Android devices. Streams MP3 and videos with no lag. It would be better if video formats besides only MP4 were supported though, as most videos are AVI format. Not featured packed but it works and is a nice addition to all of the other features the NAS has. And the only mobile program that can pull things directly off the NAS without needing your computer to be turned on and running a streaming server of some sort. |
[2012-02-14] A Google User: Figure out your port forwards and you're good... Working as advertised, just don't forget to enable 'web server' in network services. |
[2012-02-14] A Google User: Good app Can't really understand allot of the comments on here, works great. It does take some configuring on the nas but follow the instructions and it works. Would give 5 stars if you could view music by album in media centre. |
[2012-02-14] A Google User: Making improvements It's getting better. Now supports m4a playback, even with remote music center control. My USB sound card works flawlessly with my NAS. But volume control doesn't work. |
[2012-02-13] A Google User: Cannot connect Finds the service automatically but says cannot connect to network even with admin credentials |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Can't connect. It found the NAS automatically. But chould not connect to it. |
[2012-02-02] A Google User: fail |
[2012-01-30] A Google User: Awful Wouldn't connect and can't remove a drive once it's configured. |
[2012-01-26] A Google User: No connection Discovery does not work. Manually providing information does not work. HTC Incredible S, latest stock. |
[2012-01-23] A Google User: Piece of crap Connects easily enough but doesn't play anything |
[2012-01-21] A Google User: Doesn't work It doesn't connect to the nas even if you provided the right data |
[2012-01-21] A Google User: Does not work on Android 4.0 :( No ICS support. Does not work on my Galaxy Nexus. Worked ok on my older phone. |
[2012-01-19] A Google User: Revision needed I know I'm entering correct credentials but still fails to authenticate on my ts-210 turbo NAS |
[2012-01-19] A Google User: Shockingly bad Come on developers - sort this amateurish attempt at an app out ! |
[2012-01-10] A Google User: Sub-par No SSL support. Completely crashes every time network connection changes. No thumbnails for video files in browser. Very, very, very limited video codec support--mp4 only, even though the underlying Android OS has wide codec support. Qnap is also dragging their feet on Google Cloud Print and Airprint support for the NAS print server. All in all, they seem to be largely ignoring the mobile/cloud movement...other than their cloud-NAS bridge (something I'll never use). |
[2012-01-07] A Google User: This app does not work Won't log in and authenticate |
[2012-01-02] A Google User: No sound Can just about connect using my asus eee pad but there is no sound and only mp4 videos are displayed |
[2011-12-18] A Google User: Useless Will not see a network on the Asus transformer. Just keep getting the error "Can't find network" but there is one, I'm writing this review over it. |
[2011-12-16] A Google User: Pretty much useless Mission 2 set up and once set up discovered it won't play avi's. points 4 those of u experiencing connection issues: Needs admin acc + web server. |
[2011-12-11] A Google User: Uninstalled Kept this app for almost a year, hoping an update would fix it. Never happened. Will not connect, either through wifi/3g or public /local. |
[2011-12-08] A Google User: Finally got it to connect through the public internet, but it does not see all content and upload ford not work. |
[2011-12-07] A Google User: wont connect ive set up my qnap with latest firmware and webserver and file manager enabled as the FAQs require. for no reason i can work out it never connects. always the same unhelpful error message. |
[2011-12-04] A Google User: Would be great if not only admin user is required and there would be no dependency on web server and multimedia station running on NAS |
[2011-12-03] A Google User: Can't connect to my qnap with firmware version 3.5 Just won't login to my QNap TS-412, tried over LAN and the internet but no use .. disappointed!! .. QNAP please fix this |
[2011-12-03] A Google User: Works well Please read the manual, the setup of the NAS and of the application requires some works but afterwards it works well, both on Wi-Fi and 3G! |
[2011-12-01] A Google User: Can't connect. Won't connect. |
[2011-11-30] A Google User: Doesn't work, won't connect What's to say? It just doesn't work. Can connect to the NAS through a normal browser but not through this. |
[2011-11-28] A Google User: Could be better. Works on the, SG2. Still needs some improvements like search function. Pse keep on developing. |
[2011-11-28] A Google User: Limited codecs not much use. They need to catch up. |
[2011-11-26] A Google User: Can't download any file from NAS Can't upload all photos or other files. Can't download any file from the NAS |
[2011-11-24] A Google User: Meh Poor application, only plays mp4 video. Please add support for other video codecs and also some administration features |
[2011-11-19] A Google User: Below Mediocre This doesn't demonstrate the possibilities of this great device. |
[2011-11-13] A Google User: works great! ts 859 pro+ works great! tested with mp4 and mp3. great having my complete media library available to my phone. droid bionic |
[2011-11-11] A Google User: hmmm.. false advertising the fact that only mp4 are supported for this app. Dont sell a product that cant support various video files. I bought a TS-559 Pro |
[2011-11-10] A Google User: Detects server, but won't connect. |

[2011-11-05] A Google User: Sigh!! Great idea but just not working. Will find the NAS but just won't login :-(. Once the bugs are fixed will try it again. |
