An open source, full-featured remote for XBMC. It features library browsing, direct remote control and a slick interface. It's still beta but we're getting there.

PERMISSIONS:
Please see Wiki page on Google code before rating down because of private data access. This app is open source after all.

HONEYCOMB USERS:
Please note that this app is now available to Honeycomb tablets, but it's far from optimized. We're working on that.

VOLUME:
Use the hardware buttons of your phone while the remote is running.

INSTALLATION:
There is a complete and updated installation guide in the Wiki, featured on the front page of the website.

BUGS:
Please use the forum or the bugtracker. Comments in here are read sporadically but more for amusement than for serious debugging.

Yatse is better The Zero config stuff doesn't work and it seemed like it was remembering the IP as opposed to a MAC or comp name. Switched to Yatse and never looked back.

Basically broken Couldn't connect to either of my hosts (a Gentoo svn build, and a Pi running raspBMC, both v12.0 XBMC builds), tried from several android devices of varying versions. The project is practically dead, from what I've read online. I give 2 stars for a formerly good app. Now, go find another.

Nice app, lack of JSON I really like this asp, but the HTTP API has been replaced by JSON in recent versions of XBMC and this is not yet supported by this app. Hope for an update soon.

Almost great The remote works very well but lacks some functions for using it easily with a large music library. Search functionality is missing and browsing through all artists or songs takes too much effort. Editing playlist (switching order, deleting songs) is not possible. When queuing a first song into an empty playlist the remote adds actually the whole album which is very annoying especially taking into account the other feedback.

Context Menu Show me how to get to the context menu and I'll give 5 instead of 4 stars... ... ... Two days later I figured out how to get to the context menu (TITLE button). So 5 stars as promised. Now, I'll be greedy. How about custom library short cuts on the primary screen. One for music videos would be nice. :)

Meh. Works but very buggy. This is a very primitive remote control app for XMBC. I use it with OpenElec. Several times the buttons have gotten "stuck" and the only way to fix this is to reboot the phone. The app also constantly throws Java errors that you have to dismiss.

Excellent Works great for controlling my laptop with xbmc running Lubuntu. The interface is pretty straightforward and supports landscape.If you've got a small form factor PC with xbmc that's hooked up to your HDTV this would be a pretty cool app to have.

Java errors on Nexus 7 The apps works on my Nexus 7 but I have to OK through java exception errors before it loads the actual remote screen. Sometimes I have to back out of the app and get back in before it will connect.

Works well usually Every once in a while it seems like one of the butting will get "stuck" and Xbmc will just start scrolling around in circles very rapidly. This happens on 2 different phones, and only when using this program. Very annoying but it stops after a minute or two. Also it would be nice if you were able to use the keyboard instead of only being able to use the arrow buttons to select text. Other than that, nice app and easy to use.

Great remote. I also recommend unified remote although it does cost 2 or 3 dollars. It's well worth it. It has remotes for several popular apps including xbmc (I prefer this one) as well as mouse/keyboard, shutdown & Wake-On-Lan. It has a free version too.
