Extremely disappointing Ridiculously clunky on my phone. App constantly freezes, even with a normal internet connection. Can't enjoy music with the Not Responding pop-ups, or the constant stops and starts (have to keep going back and alternating between My Library and My Mix to keep a trickle of tunes going). Very frustrating experience, not sure if I'll keep subscribing with so many competitors I could try out.

Well I still love it! I've been using LastFM for years, scrobbling & playing radio stations based on artist and my own tracks. It took a few years of scrobbling to get some good recommendations & now it knows my tastes better than I do. Likewise, the algorithms behind artist radio are the best in the business. I listen all day in the office & it always delivers fresh & interesting music. The app itself works for me (Sony Arc S), it's not groundbreaking, but it plays music at me [shrugs]. Subscriptions seems to be everyone's main gripe. I won't start ranting about "music ISN'T free" & I admit a price hike from £1 to £3 was a bit hard to swallow BUT if that's what it takes to be able to license the music (did I mention music ISN'T free) then so be it. The music industry is in BIG financial trouble and licensing is one of the few ways they can make money back these days... so they charge I'm afraid. And WHY should it be free anyway? The app is a premium extension of the free ad-sponsored website version & what's wrong with that? So is Spotify and nobody moans. I've not found such a rich catalogue anywhere else, it's just a shame the new & expensive licencing has blocked certain territories.

Good app with some bugs Good app, streams smoothly even on 3G but will eat up your allowance. A few little bugs like the pause function on the lock screen will skip the track when resumed and some songs are mislabeled. However a godsend for long work days using wifi!

Buggy, now stopped working Have to reboot phone a lot because lastfm is stuck in unrecoverable states. Does not work at all over 3g+. Stopped working completely since yesterday (Error communicating with the server). lastfm also blocked shell-fm even for paying customers. Waste of Money. Sad.

Useless I love Last FM. I'm a subscriber, but sadly not for much longer. This app won't play music in "My Country" which doesn't make sense at all because I am able to play music on the desktop version. Functionally this is essentially no different so why the exclusion? If it could download tunes to play on the road then I'd understand, but Last FM doesn't work like that. It is unfortunate that I now need to switch to something like Pandora when I would far rather support Last FM. But if they can't get their s**t together and produce a decent app with relevance outside of US UK and Germany I have no choice.

BUG: Syncs contacts even after its disabled I disabled contacts sync as soon as I installed it. But this app syncs contacts and now the Contacts look really messed up. Uninstalling the app till they fix this bug.

Ugly UI and no free radio. The UI still looks like a mobile version of a windows 95 application and there isn't a free radio choice. When you do pay you can't make a playlist and play only certain songs. I don't care to listen to individual songs I can pay 10 bucks and do that on Spotify. It does appear scrobbling has been fixed on ICS. Overall this app is very laggy as well.
