With this app you can add a sound to your desktop inside a widget, and listen it simply by pressing the sound icon.

You can make your custom soundboard, or can set a rapid access to a sound that is very useful in your daily life, like a whistle to call your pet, or an acoustic signal of any kind.

Note: Location is used to store where songs were discovered.  It can be disabled from the Options menu.

Explanation of requested permissions:
RECORD AUDIO
Used to record audio for both music and voice search.

CHANGE YOUR AUDIO SETTINGS
Used to ensure optimal audio recording settings.

FINE (GPS) LOCATION
COARSE (NETWORK-BASED) LOCATION
Used to enhance search results and remember where a search took place, which is displayed through History.  This can be disabled in app settings.

FULL INTERNET ACCESS
Used to communicate with servers for search results and other content.

READ PHONE STATE AND IDENTITY
Used to mute SoundHound audio when receiving phone calls.

MODIFY/DELETE USB STORAGE CONTENTS MODIFY/DELETE SD CARD CONTENTS
Used to cache data.

CONTROL VIBRATOR
Used to notify when search results are ready.

VIEW WI-FI STATE
Used to allow usage through WI-FI.

PlayTunes (v. 2)

PlayTunes is a simple and easy to use music player.  The corner buttons can be configured from the settings page.  PlayTunes is free but ad-supported.

This version of PlayTunes no longer supports devices with Android 1.5 Cupcake but PlayTunes Legacy is a version that specifically supports Android 1.5.

Some things I'm looking to add in the upcoming version(s):
- Widget
- Music Alarms
- Cloud music playback (Either Dropbox or Google Docs, I haven't decided)
