Car Tunes Music Player Beta (v. 0.98)

Car Tunes is a "near hands free" music player designed for in-car use. Combines voice search and swipe gesture controls so your eyes never leave the road. Integrates with Google's Car Home for easy access from car dock. Works great outside of automobiles too!

This is a beta release, suggestions appreciated.

Note: Currently, only reads from external memory (SD Card).

Note 2: Requires Android 1.6+, Android 2.1 is recommended. Older versions of Android *WILL* force close!

Love this app! Voice recog works great, hasn't missed a song title yet. Love the swipe function. A must-have for driving.

Nan I agree that it's missing a quit button since bluetooth ON may start it automatically. Missing a genre tab and no type search. Still the best.

Great concept. Better bluetooth support such as pause/resume on (dis)connect would be great. Can't get voice cmd working over BT but thats G's fault.

New Widget is Ugly The app is awesome but the new widget is unattractive and is missing the voice button. Library also doesn't match stock now. Still 5 stars app wise.

Works as described but you need to use swipe actions starting in center of small circle, why? A swipe up is a swipe up. Why must i find the center?

songs cut off It always worked great on Motorola Droid now songs cut off in the middle. App closes and comes back on.

Excellent. Play/pause button on Bluetooth headset even works, which isn't true for most players. Also shows the item in the notification bar. Get it.

It works well, but really isn't all that useful in the car without a lockscreen widget. IT NEEDS A LOCKSCREEN WIDGET.
