Background Timelapse (v. 0.2) Разработано floe |
This app continuously captures camera images in the background for timelapse videos (see video link for a sample).
Delay between images is adjustable down to 1 second.
Normal phone operation can continue with minimal CPU load.
Note: images are saved on SD card in an intermediate format to minimize CPU load. Use "Convert All" to convert them to PNG (warning: may take some time).
This app is open-source under GPL. The source code is available at https://github.com/floe/Background-Timelapse

[2012-07-30] A Google User: Crap! Only took 45 images of my planned 2h lapse (2000ms interval), then stopped without any notice. Probably stopped working right after it was put into background when I turned the screen off. Totally useless bullshit! Android 4.0.4 on Sony Xperia S. |

[2012-07-06] A Google User: Does just what it says Great app on my Cyanogenmod loaded Samsung Captivate. Running this in background to timelapse motorcycle rides while OSMAND runs to show me the route. Converted pics (png) are easily converted to video using VirtualDub on PC. Being able to run in background is critical, and this does it effectively. Thanks! |
