Your phone and receiver must be connected to the same WLAN router to use this application.

Media server is buggy I'd give this 5 stars if media server had a search function. The browsing is a bit clunky, and sometimes gives an 'unsorted list' error on the receiver when selecting a letter. If you could have a search function with text input like the official app it would be 5 stars! I'll donate if you do the above! Like another reviewer said, full screen widget would be great. Sucks about the search function. Possible to make searching faster? Like prefetch subfolders.

Must have app for Demon owners! This app works with most Denon models, unlike Denon's official app that only works on newer models. I've used this app for 2 years on 3 different android devices, works like a charm every time. One of the best apps, period. Only cons- ui feels a little dated and no widget. Overall great app!

Getting better could do more I have the Marantz NA-7004. The application does not work with all the features. Using the web interface plugs some of the holes but not all of them. Hopefully this application could add in a web interface too.

media server scolling Nice app. I have the Denon E400. The "Denon Remote App" does not work well on it and Denon tech support suggested i use this, which is much better. However, 1 - there is no E400 option on the devise selector. Tech support told me to use the 1913 option, which did work. I can't yet tell if there are any downsides to this, but is a but none the less. 2 - when using the music server from my PC, the app brings up lists correctly (e.g. pages of artists, albums, etc). However, one has to use the page up / page down buttons to go through the lists. In contrast, I would think a user could 'flick' up / down or otherwise easily scroll easily through the lists. This would be a lot faster (page up / page down effectively has to go retrieve the next set of info for the list - slow going if you have a big music database). basically the app isn't using any multi-touch functionality of the phone.

Simple, effective, useful -- get it! Since Denon decided to only support its current models with an Android remote, thank goodness for AVR.! I have a Denon AVR 2112 CI and AVR Remote connects me anywhere in the house to most audio/video sources via my wireless network Pros: Connects easily, source and volume controls easy to use. Controls my Zone 2 flawlessly. Cons: Sometimes need to reconnect. Sometimes slow between menus. GUI is a little clunky. Bottom Line: Thank you Andreas for developing this FREE, useful tool. Awesome tool Works well and officially supports Marantz SR6006. A lot of functions don't work though, says my AVR does not support them even though it does (Dynamic Volume, Cinema EQ, etc).

Works on AVR-3311 Just downloaded but it found my receiver without probs, able to adjust volume and change sources as though I was rigth in from the stereo while I was in my study. Nice! There seems to be a lot of settings possible; however, since it's not "smart" enough to detect what's actually available like the normal remote does, 4-stars only. Sorry. But, keep working at it. I'm sure it has to do with Denon's capabilities/wi-fi interface. Anyhow, I recommend it!

Fantastic app As others say puts denon to shame. Works great on my avr1912 never had any issues with the app. Another reviewer with the same receiver said app did not work which is clearly NOT a fault with the app.

Use it all the time, great app. This app is great and allows me to control my 2112 which the Denon app does not do. I love the ability to control my zone 2 from my phone while I am working around the house. The only down side to this app which is really not a big deal is that the GUI is a bit basic but it works and works well so who cares.

Works good except for...... All the functions work. I see 2 problems though. 1) muting is backwards. When it shows muted on the app, it is unmuted and vice versa. On the app the volume shows 55db and on the received it shows 20db.

Great App I use this with a Marantz NA7004 , Net gear Duo v2 NAS and a Nexus7. Works every time. The only thing I would like to see is a longer track listing, 7 lines is annoying but the app is still very good. It could be something I am doing wrong?

Great It's not perfect but it allows me to control most functions on my avr 1912. I rarely use the remote control. One tip I've discovered is to make sure you have the receiver set to stay connected to the network. Kind of sad when the official app pales in comparison. I would gladly pay for this.

Best App I have it on my Samsung Tab 2 7 Tablet and on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I have a older AVR-4306 and it works Great! Better than the Remote that came with the reciever. Can use it all over the house (network not IR), even on the patio and stream my music from my Home Server to zone 2. A must have if you own a Denon.
