Exception #147 issue I switched to better phone (Note II) and now, it just gives network warning and craps out from connecting to the Cloud with exception #147. Please fix it!!!!!!!!!!!! Fixed it by buying a song and downloading it.

Can't listen to previews Ever since the last update, I haven't been able to listen to the samples of songs. I click the little play icon and it acts like its loading and then shows the play icon again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still can't preview songs. Will change rating when this issue is fixed.

The Best Music Cloud I've tried the major competitors and they simply don't stack up to Amazon. It would be nice to be able to see user reviews on music. The interface is incredibly crowded on a phone screen in landscape mode, which makes scrolling through songs a pain. Hiding some of the UI elements would help, but a better solution would be to switch to horizontal scrolling in landscape.

Missing crucial features I've been using this app for a few years, and there are a few problems. The big one is that the app does not allow you to specify where the downloaded music should be saved. This is ridiculous. I have limited space on my phone memory, but I also have a 32GB external SD card that is languishing for use. Unfortunately, the Amazon MP3 player will only download to the phone's internal memory. The second one is minor, but it has to do with the way that the app is coded. On almost any other music player that I've used, when a notification comes in, the audio streams (from the music, and from the notification sound) get blended together. With the Amazon player, the music abruptly cuts off, you hear the notification, and then the music abruptly cuts back in. It's a rude sound, and I don't understand why this is still a problem, many years after the app has launched. There's no excuse for this. It's not a mom-and-pop operation, it's Amazon. I eventually gave up and just moved back to using Google Play, but I'd like to come back.

Big let up Started well, showed me the music I purchased before and streams competently. But does it let me choose where it downloads the tunes? Nope, so my 32gb SD goes unused. Spotify had been shouted at for months before they addressed this. Not putting up with it from Amazon. Uninstall.

Amazon, please, have you used Google Play Music? Pros: * I really appreciate the storage capacity of the Amazon cloud. Having more than 20,000 songs in my library means I have to pick and choose what's hosted, rent the rest of the songs, or use this app... * It provides relatively easy and fast navigation. It's effective at scrolling through a long list of albums, tracks, etc. * It plays music without noticeable errors. Cons: * No gapless playback (this is really annoying with certain albums and classical selections). * Worse than the lack of gapless playback, it doesn't seem to start buffering the next song in the playlist's stream until after the current one ends, resulting in large gaps between songs. * It loses a paused song's play position after a few minutes of inactivity; this makes it useless for playing long tracks and eBooks. Further, when you resume playing at the _beginning_ of the song, it won't even let you scroll to your approximate last position (if you try, it just keeps resetting to the beginning). AARGH!!! If these problems could get fixed, I'd overlook the lack of song suggestions and the otherwise basic nature of the app. But right now it's pretty maddening to use.

Player is worthless I've lowered my rating from 2 to 1 star. Player has nothing that would make it a player. Landscape mode it unusable in a vehicle dock. I would love to be able to pick an album or an artist and say "play". Not add to now playing and mix it with everything else. When a good song is on I'd love to be able to hit Add to Playlist right from the song. This app is a store ONLY. And if I still have to manage everything in another player, explain to me why I keep all my stuff in the Amazon cloud.

Can't Download Purchased Album I purchased an album from Amazon using my PC, but it doesn't show up as having been purchased while using the app on my RAZR, making the app and Amazon's music purchasing system absolutely worthless. Actually, it's sorta negative in value, since I bought an album to which I can't listen.

HTC One S Great app. Everything works great. But the sound quality of the downloads could be better. I have to turn up the volume just so I can hear songs that have been downloaded from Amazon and then have my ears blasted when another song plays. Fix that, and I'll give you 5 stars
