Majority of kids above 1 year are sleeping all night long without waking up. Depending on age and individual needs of kid sleeping duration varies from 9 to 12 hours. Deficiency in sleeping has no effect on appetite, growth and development. But refusal to go to bed on time and/or waking up in the night can harm and have negative effects on all family members. The reason of insomnia in kids can be different factors, including sickness, emotional disorders, nightmares and inability to establish firm schedule of proceeding to sleep.
