Liberate your Media!
Find content on your mobile device, your PC, online, and play it on network-connected devices, such as an Apple TV!
With Twonky Mobile, find personal and online music, photos and videos and play them on one of the hundreds of devices available for your WiFi network (such as Apple TV, compatible Samsung HDTV, or other AirPlay, UPnP or DLNA compatible devices). and many more!
With TwonkyManager™ or TwonkyServer™ installed on your computer, wirelessly transfer your files between your network and your phone or tablet. You can also access your computer’s media collection, such as your iTunes songs and playlists, and use Twonky Mobile app to enjoy your music anywhere in the house.

[2012-07-13] Tim: Buggy unreliable Too buggy and unreliable for use on Galaxy 7.7 tablet to WDTV LIVE and WDTV media player configuration. Not ready for real world yet. One star for trying. By the way, the UI is not responsive and difficult to stop if wrong choice made. Save yourself the frustration. |
[2012-07-12] Tony: How Do I connect my xbox 360 to it? |
[2012-07-12] Bogdan: Nice Very good app but recently if the network doesn't have internet connection it doesn't start |
[2012-07-12] russel: Wow Awsome |
[2012-07-11] Rich: Another spam app preinstalled by vendor Don't want and can't remove without rooting thus voiding my warrantee. Don't appreciate effectively being blackmailed into having to keep an unwanted and annoying app! Hope the developer goes out of business soon so they can stop paying vendors to worsen their products. |
[2012-07-11] Sleighty: Won't work Connects fine but will not play video files over wifi. Waste or time. |
[2012-07-10] n: Eh.. Cool app wouldst gave it 5 stars but I have to reinstall it anytime I add pics/music to my phone or can't get to them on twonky |
[2012-07-09] Calvin : Best It works like a pro 8 |
[2012-07-08] Gary: Brilliant I'm using a Galaxy S3 & it was set up in seconds & works flawlessly. Thank you!! |
[2012-07-08] Isaiah: Dumb It's completely useless. Every time I try to play music, it disconnects from my phone and doesn't play |
[2012-07-08] James: GR888T Awesome thanks |
[2012-07-07] Fergal: Good Great app, but needs extsdcard support on sgs3. Otherwise works perfectly with qnap. |
[2012-07-07] apricot: Doesn't work You can't be connected yo your phones library and play over an airport. Why is this so hard people?? I'm asking for basic features here |
[2012-07-07] sigsegv: Alpha software Skips playback to Apple tv and crashes. Maybe should have an option for a bigger buffer or real time priority of the streaming thread. Concept is good implementation leaves much to be desired. |
[2012-07-07] Tracy: Frustrating... Stops playing music on my device when screen goes to sleep! Useless. |
[2012-07-07] Derek: Could be good Worked at first but has got steadily worse with each use. HTC desire c to Roberts stream 83i internet radio |
[2012-07-04] Gordon: Perfect Works well for me.transfered films to my ps3 very quick.I did use mediashare but this is a lot better thx. |
[2012-07-03] Anders: Music on external sdcards - working? Twonky on my SGS3 dont play anything that is not stored on the internal sd card. My other music players dont have any problems finding my main song librarary on the external card, also mounted as /mnt/ExtSdCard. Tried to write a trouble report on your FB support site, but it seem to hang or be extremley slow right now. Anyhow, promising app, I just need the luxurary of selecting my own music source ... |
[2012-06-28] Hussain: Is it trying to steal gmail passwords? I get a password prompt. |
[2012-06-27] Mike: Great Free App! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it cut short a YouTube video I was watching with my TV for some reason. It was the Ed Bassmaster "Would Ya' Look At That" I haven't tried anything else yet, though. (HTC Glacier T-Mobile MyTouch 4G) |
[2012-06-27] chad: Good Good so far. Needs a starter guide/tips. Once you figure it out it seems to work good. Tried on gal nex. A500. Xbox. Ps3. Samsung TV. All worked. |
[2012-06-25] Kristoffer: Unfinished This app is obviously not done. Several times pr minute, it looses the connection to my Western Digital My Book Live NAS running twonky mediaserver. Other generic dlna players ive tried, nor my computer has this problem. Also, unless I brows my music by folders, every song is showing up in doubles. |
[2012-06-25] Booth.: OK but the UI is confusing On the whole my fave streamer but the UI is difficult to use and when the screen goes off the video stops. Also it behaves differently each time I use it. Really unreliable. |
[2012-06-24] Rachel: . . |
[2012-06-24] charles: Works great This was the only thing that worked I tried 2 play ,Imedia share , none worked but this did . Works perfect on my xbox |
[2012-06-22] Ruvi: Crashes after the latest update It did its work well till the latest update ruined it -arc S- |
[2012-06-20] SocialMediaTwit: Twonky is a great app, needs to BEAM from Android device to Android device or Android to iPhone & needs move to SD function. |
[2012-06-20] supernugett: Epic troll Runs flawlessly until player is called. And then nothing. Not so much. |
[2012-06-19] Lance: Great app Worked better and did more than all others I've tried. |
[2012-06-19] Sticky: Samsung galaxy s3 Works perfectly for 15 minutes then the app crashes. Reopen app and it works for another 15 mins. Other than this good app best one that actually sort of works on the s3 |
[2012-06-19] ChaoticTissue: Functional Decent media server. Not too shabby, for free. |
[2012-06-18] Ben: Working great thus far Seems to be working well. |
[2012-06-18] David: Used to be better. Used to allow YouTube streaming to TV, but latest update gives Mime error. Now its no better than free apps. UI needs an overhaul too. |
[2012-06-17] Vito: Does not work on my onkyo. The only thing that works is mp3 |
[2012-06-15] Антон: Finally Finaly i found something to make my B&W Zeppelin Air play music from android! |

[2012-06-05] Daria: Good Had to decipher it all but its all good |
[2012-06-01] Kahil: Epic fail... Doesn't load anything from dlna server when other apps do just fine. Doesn't play anything on apple tv when other apps do. Just doesn't work at all....lame... |
[2012-05-27] Owen: Wonky I like this app but I am now totally afraid to update my old working version. :( |
[2012-05-27] Francis: OK but Does not support management of dynamic play lists, no search to quickly find an album/artist, mobile server gets restarted at each reboot even when you don't need it. |
[2012-05-26] Dan: The best app of it's kind available. This is the only app that I could find that would do what this app does...love it |
[2012-05-25] Royce: Twonky Innovative. A lite but not quite. Sense of not empowered recognizable. But Thanks Google. I love you! |
[2012-05-24] Ryan: Yay, Youtube on my TV! Works excellent so far, especially glad I can watch Youtube on my TV with DLNA instead of that terrible smartTV app (LG LM6200). App's help says it can be used with browser, but I've yet to be able get that to work at all. |
[2012-05-23] Aaron: Great UI, no work with Serviio Love to interface. Says it connects to Serviio but errors during folder navigation. Cannot access any Serviio media. All other apps I've tried work fine, except this one. |
[2012-05-22] Ronald: Good app Is it just me or does the of have yo be on for it yo beam to Xbox. |
[2012-05-22] Andy: Not as advertised Does not play video on Apple TV. Keep getting "an error occurred loading this content". Stuck with crappy Android apps for another year. Definitely upgrading to an iphone! |
[2012-05-21] Romas: HTC Glacier GB 2.3.4 Please, fix creen off issuse. Program got real problems then screen goes off. 2.2 version worked better. |
[2012-05-15] Sean: Loads fine but doesn't play Only plays songs for about 10 seconds then stops when sensing signal to airport express. |
[2012-05-04] Troubleshooter: Not bad Could do with slick players.. |
[2012-05-04] the 5/13/2012 Did love it! It's great but since the update can no longer copy folder or file to device (my most used function on it). correct this and back to 5 stars! 6 months later still not fixed, still no option to choose media player so stuck with the phones one, no subtitle support pretty rubbish really! |
[2012-05-02] oli: Awesome app ! Amazing app. I tried many apps to stream media to my tv, but none really worked. Then I found twonky. Simple, nice design and very effective. |

[2012-04-27] Ryan: Useless Bloatware I wish developers and corporations would stop adding these un-uninstallable crappy programs to their devices. I want this off my tablet. |
[2012-04-27] the 4/28/2012
[2012-04-25] phi: Should allow it to use ethernet I have an android TV box(supports both wifi and Ethernet connections), and if I go through the wifi(on the andriod TV box) I get to see my device(android TV box) on my tablet. But when going through Ethernet device is not seen. I hope you guys add the feature for allowing this. |
[2012-04-24] tjl: Love it Great for xbmc users. Awesome for airplay functionality |
[2012-04-22] GolfCranK: Very impressed. Sony Xperia S Wow. I had been searching for a decent app to stream to apple tv the way we do with iPad. Twonky is perfect. Downloaded installed and running in a couple of minutes. Videos photos and music. |
[2012-04-22] Mark: Great app It's the best I've used. It looks good and the ui is easy to use too. Only thing that lets it down is its slow to start up. Please fix this. |
[2012-04-21] bozo: Does not start It shows a black square. At multiple click screen goes dark. Thats all. G nexus. |
[2012-04-21] Caleb: Great! Its great for watching my movies but there's one fact that i hate, its the part were if ur watching your movie and someone messages you and you go to check it and go back to watch your movie the screen stays black, then you have to restart you movie and go back to the same part. Please fix this, its maddening! |
[2012-04-20] Fishy: Good& fast Only gripe is that it stops when screen goes off... |
[2012-04-20] picketf: BugBugs Aims at doing everything but has it's bugs (screen off stops dlna) but it excells at mkv videos... managed to share a 1080p mkv of 8gb size to the TV. Except for the 2 stops when my device went into sleep, even ff and rw worked from my google tv over wireless; impressive! |
[2012-04-19] nyn: Doesn't support videos And bad playlist option |

[2012-04-14] the 4/15/2012 Very useful! I use to use samsung's allshare until this. Play anything, as long as the device supports the format. The only issue was its first boot. |

[2012-04-11] Jase: It works! Able to share any music, photos or videos stored on my Android to my Apple TV! Wish it could beam live sound from apps though. |

[2012-04-07] twilson: The best DLNA/UPoN Server Excellent and FREE. It actually works with Xbox360 and PS3, which is more than can be said for must of the paid apps! |
[2012-04-06] Per: Bad design You can restream a clip from youtube for instance, but NOT without switching on sharing of your videos on the device - which is totally stupid design. |

[2012-03-29] ant: SUCKS app sucks! plays song then freezes everytime! |
[2012-03-28] Frank: Doesn't REALLY Support ICS Emailed dev to ask why I couldn't stream music from Google Play app on my Galaxy Nexus and they responded with "Twonky sharing path for Music/Photo/Video is the root folder of the SD Card (/mnt/sdcard) and this is NOT configurable, any changes to this path [need a] code change." Funny since the only device OFFICIALLY supporting ICS (other than the Nexus S) doesn't have this directory (or an sdcard at all, for that matter) so the indication that it includes "Ice Cream Sandwich support" is mildly overstated. |
[2012-03-27] cjohnson02000: pretty cool I find it useful since I don't have nor want apple products. I did not configure computer correctly though. It is not as seemless or intuitive as apple. but I will survive. |
[2012-03-24] Chris: Kinda works. Streaming to xbox is slow and unresponsive. Uninstalled. |
[2011-03-11] karl: Can't get it to work for xbox 360 |
