[2011-02-23] Cuddly: Good idea, but hard to get working properly. Desktop app does *not* share local music as one would expect |
[2011-02-23] Gary: Nicely done. Wish it had an option to search. Also wish I could choose different app for playback of music |
[2011-02-23] David: Nice concept, but not even really ready for beta - too many bugs, and clunky interface. |
[2011-02-23] ianarus: Good app. Works good from remote device to phone with all media. But some issues with local videos to remode dlna players(it doesnt show saved videos) |
[2011-02-20] Pete: FC FC uninstalled HTC Desire |
[2011-02-19] Chris: Too many forced closes on my Droid 1. 3 in 5 mins of use. |
[2011-02-18] Richard: Quite amazing. No longer necessary to store all of my media on my Nexus. Sometimes can't access video library. Really great start folks. |
[2011-02-18] nelanka: Amazing App Lets me share my pictures, music, and video from my Evo to my PS3, which can then play it on my TV. Brilliant! |
[2011-02-17] Matty: Has potential. Doesn't support divx. Play using another player would be good. |
[2011-02-17] Van: Not there yet. I'll check back in a year or so. |
[2011-02-17] Sanjay: Beta crashes on my Droid incredible when browsing by artist |
[2011-02-16] Cole: Great idea, however when trying to play any music on the PS3 the song will stop every couple of seconds then resume only to have it happen again. |
[2011-02-16] Kyle: Amazing |
[2011-02-16] Keith: Good but incomplete Needs a volume control for a start |
[2011-02-15] Matt: Works great! Evo 4g |
[2011-02-15] Adil: Terrible, does not detect the dlna servers or players on the network. Allshare is much better. |
[2011-02-15] Neumahn: Not ready The app started up and then froze stating "Updating Skifta..." I tried running it over and over each time with the same result. This is junk. Try something else. Droid X |
[2011-02-12] Rob: Installed, tried to use but app hung repeatedly when starting up. Never worked. EVO. |
[2011-02-12] Chris: Works pretty well. To those complaining about not all video formats playing - check compatibility of your TV, some codecs may not be supported |
[2011-02-11] Brian: Media player doesn't support many video formats and when it can't play it, it just sits there till you fc it |
[2011-02-11] Mk: Music streaming works fine. Video streaming supports very few formats. Fix this and you will be victorious. |
[2011-02-11] Primal: "Twonky" is a better app. This lacks individual folder support, doesn't always find all media and 720p streaming is choppy. No web streaming either. |
[2011-02-10] rta: wifi only a huge letdown after i got the home server installed. whats the point. |
[2011-02-09] Luckycherms: play my media on any network....amazing, love it. keep up the good work |
[2011-02-09] Mike: Getting there! I can now see my PlayOn media server, but the format the videos are in isn't supported. |
[2011-02-09] kenneth: It got better since last time. But still has some problems! |
[2011-02-08] Conal: Got this working with my mac and HTC desire. Played media from home on my friends Pc at her place. Just amazing! |
[2011-02-08] James: Works well. Quick response to support questions. The in-app player has limited video format support. If they can fix that, I'll give 5 stars. |
[2011-02-08] Neil: Nice in principle but media player lacks formats |
[2011-02-08] Neil: Nice in principle but media player lacks formats |
[2011-02-08] david: Love this app turns my phone into a media streamer. Best app available in the market in my opinion! !! Love it love it!!! |
[2011-02-08] Icemaine: Very nice, but doesn't allow selection of different player other than system. Cancel buffering. Won't allow exit when buffering, have to force close. |
[2011-02-07] Kevin: This is very alpha than beta. |
[2011-02-07] tom: Nice ripoff of twonky except it does not work as advertised. No beaming of web content, etc. I am sticking with twonky, it works. |
[2011-02-07] Joseph: I want it to work but cant find dnla anywhere |
[2011-02-06] Bobbie: Doesn't work with xbox 360. |
[2011-02-06] Adwin: Forced outward net conn. As well as additional registration. |
[2011-02-06] Thomas: Great app! Works with all my DNLA kit. Keep up the good work! |
[2011-02-06] Matthew: Can't get past the splash screen that says updating. Doesn't appear to even try. Droid X |
[2011-02-05] spampeg: Works really well, and easy to setup, but totally destroys my battery even when not in use |
[2011-02-05] Ken: i love it this app is pretty sweet. configuration is incredibly simple. it picked up my network storage device immediately and my blu-ray player detected it as well. the app needs dvix/xvid support for video playback on the android device. my blu-ray player wouldn't play videos from my phone, but that was because the blu-ray player doesn't support the phones video format.playback is a bit quirky, i was unable to browse thru files on the phone once the phone display timed out. i'm using n1 w/ 2.2.2 |
[2011-02-05] iKnerd: Pictures and music worked great, video wouldn't play. Needs more work. HTC EVO |
[2011-02-05] ulysses: No video play |
[2011-02-05] Dan: No video and force closes on HTC Desire/Oxygen RC7. |
[2011-02-05] Martin: DLNA Certified? Why couldn't you find my devices then when Twonky Server had no problem at all.Waste of time.Rubbish |
[2011-02-05] Daniel: Music and pic' control are good video doesn't work on any device I've tried it on. HTC Desire |
[2011-02-04] Guardian4673: Unused yet, but certified makes it good, yes? |
[2011-02-04] je2345: Well it worked from fascinate to Sony bravia but as soon as I closed player it wouldn't disconnect from my tv. Had to open native dlna app then close. |
[2011-02-04] sp: Does not seem to be compatible with my LG BD570. All other DLNA sources are ok with LG; but skifta. Disappointed... |
[2011-02-04] bryanjames70: Will not even update on my moto droid running cyanogen 6 I hoped it would too. |
[2011-02-04] Splaktar: Cannot play anything from Windows media player on my desktop to my EVO. It is listed, but I keep getting browse errors. |
[2011-02-04] Stone: Useless if I can't play my video files. I attempt to play a video says its not supported then proceeds to buffer. Can't stop it. Force close |
[2011-02-04] Danny: Great start! We should be able to use our phone's data connection instead of wi-fi ... Video xfer did not work. Photo and music work fine. Tmo g2/sony |
[2011-02-04] Krstofer: Needs to be able to play content like divx. Kind of useless without it. |
[2011-02-04] Tim: Confusing, can't get it to work. Twonky server is far better, just run it and that's it, just works. This POS claims DLNA compliance, yet don't work. |
[2011-02-04] Itai: Sees my media pc, but can't find any media to play.... installed on HTC legend |
[2011-02-04] jc: Doesn't work with EVO and ps3 |
[2011-02-04] Schörre: Fails to connect to windows 7 media sharing with unhelpful error msg. Uses A LOT of battery in the background by keeping the phone awake. Uninstalled. |
[2011-02-04] Woody: Works ok but drains battery at an alarming rate when not even running. |
[2011-02-04] Craig: Works great! Need to remember to manually close it when you aren't using it because it will stay on in the background. |
[2011-02-04] Sharmon: I love it! |
[2011-02-04] Ian: Wifi only? Really? Two stars. |
[2011-02-03] Dobri: Won't download will not download from the webMarket to my phone(rooted Vibrant). I don't know if the phone being rooted has anything to do with it... |
[2011-02-03] Geoffrey: htc desire. Works just fine, streamed video, images, and music to windows media player. |
[2011-02-03] mhatti3000: Great Job Guys This is something that Android was missing, really like and recommend. Streamed photo and videos from Nexus One without any problems, has move to SD card option. Hopefully devs will keep it up and not ruin it like some other apps that were once great. |
[2011-02-03] manofidiots: All good except that the player can't seem to play any of my vids |
[2011-02-03] Brad: You shouldn't have to give all of your personal info to the developer to use this. |
[2011-02-03] r45k: Just simply doesn't work well. WIP. At least subsonic allows for modular codec and container support, but I'm not familar with how dlna works... |
[2011-02-03] Eric: Alot of potential. Force closes alot. Running Froyo on N1. |
[2011-02-03] Intellirat: Seems to work very well for me (local photos&music and twonky DLNA on a NAS, being played out to a Samsung TV). Nice and speedy too. |
[2011-02-03] DB: Had to restart my phone initially as it wasn't listing my phone as a device, then I was able to connect it to Samsung 3d TV and display my pictures. |
[2011-02-03] Stefan: Can't play mp4 files on my Sony TV. |
[2011-02-03] AJ: Could not connect to my NAS drive either via DLNA or otherwise. Uninstalling for now |
[2011-02-03] Zoltar: Excellent, I could stream pictures and videos to my samsung tv straight from my htc desire. |
[2011-02-03] Peter B: My 2009 Philips TV does not see it. It sees other Android DLNA apps just fine. |
[2011-02-03] Peter B: My 2009 Philips TV does not see it. It sees other Android DLNA apps just fine. |
[2011-02-03] Kevin: Works a lil bit. Not worth the hassle... |
[2011-02-03] Keetz: Works from pc to phone but remote use needs work |
[2011-02-03] Peter: Only had success with images and music. Needs work but a good start. Detected my devices and files fine. |
[2011-02-03] rogerski1: No go htc eris to sony bluray. Nice easy interface though. Could be a great app. |
[2011-02-03] Planning: Great Idea, but not yet ready for general use. I could not get it to work. I have other DLNA devices on my network but my Nexus One would not work. |
[2011-02-02] lkelemen: Doesn't play .ts videos from win7 PC to galaxy tab |
[2011-02-02] Matt: Great app. But now no access to local media anymore, fail. Nexus One. |
[2011-02-02] Lawrence: Still not perfect but BIG UP to developers! HTC Desire |
[2011-02-01] Ryan: Works about 20% of the time and needs to have the ability to play a wide range of formats like mkv. |
[2011-02-01] Rodney J: Add the option to play through other video players like rock player and then it will be perfect. |
[2011-02-01] mika: Very nice, but unable to browse local device videos. HTC Desire 2.2. |
[2011-01-30] Vivek: need avi playing capability on nexus one. Asap |
[2011-01-29] - G -: Just needs to play divx and avi files and its one amazing app |
[2011-01-26] Bence: Needs to work on 3g for listening online radio streams. |
[2011-01-26] sandmik: Wonderful, so nice to see all electronics around the house interact so easily |
[2011-01-24] Joshua Collins: Too demanding of an account/my info. UPnPLAY works just fine for me. Uninstalling. |

[2011-01-21] CuongThai: Good app, but should make it easier to use :-) |
[2011-01-21] chris: couldn't get it to do anything 2player is much better for music |
[2011-01-21] AnotherHiggins: Has potential. But if you pick a format that phone doesn't support, app becomes unresponsive while it scrolls through files looking for 1 it can play |
[2011-01-20] SLiM: Works very well on my Nexus1. Phone->xBox360; Comp->xBox360; Comp->Phone... Thats right, I streamed a movie from my computer to my phone!!! Win |
[2011-01-20] kingletas: Connects to my computer, tv and ps3. Def a must have app. Quality is awesome. Battery doesn't seem to be affected as much. |
[2011-01-20] Lester: Great idea, almost delivers but doesn't recognise enough media formats. Option to play via Rockplayer etc would be super useful. |
[2011-01-20] grindboy: For me dlna was a real hassle to get working. This app completely simplified things. Even works with my hacked xbox running xbmc :) |
