Battery-friendly background service that will automatically mute the media volume on your phone when you change the ringer to silent.

Features:
- Ability to mute on silent mode, as well as vibrate.
- Ability to restore media volume to what it was before going to silent/vibrate.

This app will NOT change the alarm volume. It only makes sense, and if you want the alarm volume to be silent when the phone is silent, please do so on your preferred alarm application, most let you change this setting.

Does what it says it does! CM10.1 for i777 (the latest nightlies) has been driving me crazy since media sounds continue to play through the speakers despite having the phone set to silent or vibrate. Notifications and phone calls responded appropriately but only games, videos, etc. would continue to play through the speakers. I'm assuming it's currently a bug. However, this has been exactly what I've been searching for as a stopgap until the bug in CM10.1 is fixed. This works perfectly and kills ALL volume for Media, Notification, Ringtones (IDK about alarms since I don't use my phone as an alarm clock). Thank you!

Why isn't this native? I've run into a number of embarrassing situations in meetings where my music started playing because I hit the wrong widget. This completely eliminates that problem, which should never have existed in the first place. Who puts their phone on vibrate and still wants music to blare out of it? I use this with SilentTime for perfect peace of mind in the office.

A hit and a miss I installed it on my LTE Galaxy Nexus and my Nexus 7. Both have AudioGuru installed on them. On the Galaxy running ICS 4.0.4, it works fine but on the Nexus 7 running JB 4.1.1, it keeps the AudioGuru Mode widget from functioning correctly. If I disable RealSilent, then the AudioGuru Mode widget works fine.

Fantastic! Found via Google search. Working fantastically on Android 4.0.4 Galaxy Nexus i9250. This really should be an integrated feature in Android. Much better way to solve this problem than having a different widget system with a mute switch! Give me a way to buy a donate version to help you out.

works as described This app makes up for missing/broken functionality/preferences in stock android. Obviously if I silence the phone I don't want it to make noise. No special permissions required to run is a nice bonus.

As the previous reviewer said, it would be great if it would turn the volume up when the headphones are plugged in. And I'd add that the volume should go to its old level when you unmute. But as it is, how nice to have this.
