Requirements for the Windows computer:
Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system (For use with Windows Media Center, Windows 7 is required) and a network connection between your phone and your PC (Wifi router).

Excellent Remote App This app is well designed and works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Unlike other apps this one has very good user interface that retrieves the media's meta data including the album/DVD art which makes it very easy to browse your media and then play it. Installation was very easy. I only had to change the default port but that was specific to my media center. Well worth the price!

Works reasonable well: SGT-P7500. This is the only application you'll ever need to operate your WMC. It needs some work done before its totally perfect (better tablet layout, offline database indexing for fast searches in large multimedia libraries). This app is the android alternative for vmcMote for iOS.

Awsome App! I was hesitant to purchase this app because of the higher price but I've really wanted a good remote controller for my WMC using a pad or phone for a long time. I have tried many free or cheap apps and the all left me wanting. Well,I finally found the controller I've wanted. It works perfect, is highly configurable and looks great on my 10" tablet. I can't wait to show this off to my friends.

Incomplete and buggy Apart from not beiing stable, I also miss a "now playing" section showing the album cover and the actual playlist.VmcMote (iphone app) is way better.

One of the best apps on my phone This is excellent designed and excellently implemented. It does everything you could think of in connection with selecting and playing media on Windows Media Player or Center and then some. It will really change the way I use our networked entertainment systems here. It runs nicely on my 7" tablet and just as well on my very small phone. With the phone costing $60 and the app costing about another 6, it really makes a first class media remote on its own.

Best Android MCE Remote by far I've been hunting for a good MCE remote for a while, and this never came up on the usual review sites. I'm surprised, because it is by far the best one out there. The interface is simple and easy-to-use. It's extremely easy to find the songs/albums I want and create a playlist. I love that it will automatically wake up my media box from standby and I can put it back to sleep after I'm done. Fantastic app overall, and very well documented.

A Bit Clunky, But Not Bad I use this from a Samsung galaxy tab to control the music being played by MCE. Saves turning the screen on. I have not tried its other features. Its similar to MCE-Mote on the iPhone/iPad, unfortunately, the implementation of MCE-Mote is far superior. This app feels pretty clunky in comparison. I wish the overall quality of Android apps would improve its the main thing stopping Android devices from crushing Apple.
