Lame4Android brings the LAME MP3 encoder to the Android smartphone platform. Allows you to encode wave files to MP3 format. It is based around the LAME Project.

Supported filetypes:
Encode: WAVE input only (.wav extension)
Output: MP3 input only (.mp3 extension)

[2012-02-03] Alan: Worked OK for the test wavs I do have a couple of questions for the dev though. What are the encoder settings being used in the three options? I ask because with the wave I tested with the time it took to process didn't change by more than 5 secs between the highest and lowest ones. Does lame support arm multimedia extensions? (Neon in arm, altvetec in ppc, mmx or 3dnow in x86) All in all a very good start however. |

[2011-02-16] Brandon: Excited about the idea but it simply doesn't work :-/ Filenames with spaces break it. Otherwise just 19kb files are output. Cyanogen rooted. |
