[2012-10-11] A Google User: Almost... Could be great and different from the others if it could just manage downloads and let stock player do the job. |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: Simple, but Promising Pros: 1) Shows old feeds. 2) Interface is simple, uncluttered, smooth. 3) Human readable media filenames and folders. 5) Zoomable. -No automatic audio/video downloads, but it is over rated. Cons: -OPML Import didn't work perfectly, so i had to delete and then add a few feeds manually. -Occasional loading glich solved by going back and forward. -Currently have 2 stuck media downloads that will not cancel from Ted Radio Hour feed. Streams Ok though. I'll reinstall and avoid for now. |

[2012-05-05] A Google User: Ate my data allowance! This worked well for a couple of weeks. I only used it to manually download a single podcast each week. Last night I set it to download the latest podcast (only a few tens of MB), it was going quite slowly so I put the phone down and watched some TV and forgot about it, When I next picked up my phone the battery was totally dead and after recharging it overnight I have found that the phone has downloaded about 850Mb last night (and the podcast is still not completely downloaded). The only thing that stopped it continuing to download and going over my data allowance (and hence incurring significant cost) was the battery dying. Now, to be fair to the developer I'm giving a score of 3 because I can't be 100% sure the problem was with Feedscribe but looking at all the evidence I'm reasonably sure. Maybe the podcast provider was partially to blame in some way, however I'll not be using this application again unless there is some sort of sanity check introduced that stops it downloading massive amounts of data if something goes wrong with the connection to the podcast server. Android 2.3.4 on a Sony Xperia Active if it's any help |

[2012-04-19] A Google User: Wish it could download entire feed This seems limited for certain feeds where you want to download the entire feed. You can only download 1 at at time. |

[2012-01-29] A Google User: Doesn't work. Tried out FeedScribe, because RssDemon only allows me to download 1 podcast, ever since an update from last Fall. FeedScribe won't download any podcast I try. The search continues. |
