Archos Remote Control в Android Market

Archos Remote Control (v. 2.3.6)

Archos Remote Control allows you to control an Archos device 101XS (Gen10), 80G9, 101G9 (Gen9) or 28it, 32it, 35, 43it, 70it, 101it (Gen8) from another Android device, through your Wi-Fi network.

It is compatible with all Android devices running Android 1.6 or later.
The Archos device you want to control must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the device running Archos Remote Control.

The Archos Internet Tablet must run firmware 4.0.24 for Gen10, firmware 4.0.25 for Gen9, firmware 2.4.83 for Gen8.

Hint: when connected to the Archos, the volume buttons of the phone control the volume of the Archos.

Juke box I use the archos as an mp3 player in my home hooked to my stereo system. With this remote control ability I can skip an mp3 or turn up / down the archos right from my android phone instead of walking into the other room to do it manually. I just wish it worked for the Google nexus 7 also but it's proprietary to the Archos.

Excenllent Remote Controle Nothing is perfect, but this app is pretty much close. I was thinking of buying a bluetooth keyboard for my Archos 101 G9 so I can use it more efficiently, and to be more productive. Then I remember I had installed this app on my LG motion phone. It works great: media, touchpad, D-pad, keyboard. It has all that I need.

Almost useless in my case I installed it to control an archos 35. If u can't see what you are doing on the archos device what good is it for? U can just use directly the archos. The remote is good only for controlling the volume and if you're lucky, u might manage to play pause your station or media.

Still no bluetooth!?! If you're streaming video on the Archos, the wifi connection between it and the phone is constantly interrupted. Would be better to connect them via bluetooth so as to not have to fight for bandwidth on the wifi network. Reduced to two stars.

Update won't install When trying to update, I get error "package file not signed correctly - uninstall previous version and try again". I cannot uninstall previous version ....it was installed by Archos and cannot be removed by end user. I have the A101 gen 8 with the correct latest firmware version. Can you help?
