No longer operational It is with great sadness that I'm editing my review. The at appears as though Wakemate has abandoned the Android platform, even though they continue to advertise compatibility on their website. If you have an OLD phone, this MIGHT work. It is simply not worth $60 to find out if you're lucky. Unfortunately there really isn't anything like this, and I'm really bummed about that. When it worked, this was a great product, but it simply is too unreliable to be useful, and with newer devices it simply doesn't work at all.

, 8 times out of 10, the app will not upload the data for one reason or another. The wristband will turn off, the app will force close (no alarm), etc. Edit: App no longer seems functional; no ICS support and login seems impossible. Sadly, seems like a huge waste of money now.

Poor customer support, freezes phone Starting the app froze my phone to the point it was unusable and completely unresponsive, and only pulling the battery allowed me to restart the phone. Contacted customer support several times by email and Twitter, but they were slow to respond and the new nightlies they sent me didn't work. Data for three nights was captured in the two months I've had the app. Independently, decided to root phone and install custom ROM and *surprise* the app works now. Not sure if you're willing to take the risk.

Awesome idea. Poor Implementation. This app has clearly not received the attention it needs. You *MUST* leave the app open or the wakemate stops working. Even if you do leave the app open you can not rely on it logging anything, or the alarm going off. Overall I'm incredibly disappointed so far and am opening up a ticket with Wakemate. If they are unable to solve my problems in the next 30 days I'm returning it.

HOWEVER, as soon as I went back to the home screen or manually exited the app, my phone basically became unusable. Everything lagged with a 5-10 second delay. The haptic feedback vibrations lasted way longer than usual. Had to restart the phone each time for it to work normally again. It's like the app doesn't give up system resources when it's not in focus. Awful UX. /HTC Thunderbolt

But this android app is just broken. If I stayed awake for an hour but did not move, wakemate will think I am sleeping. App for Android is not fully baked yet. App screen is not fully visible on my 3 inch screen. Support is so so. So far it hasn't helped me get up refreshed at all which is all I care about. I really wish these guys succeed on merit.
