[2013-07-29] A Google User: Great app with one annoying bug I love bike sharing and this app is very helpful. The only problem is that there's an annoying bug whereby pressing the back button on my phone causes the app to exit. |
[2013-07-08] A Google User: Reliable and up to date Works in real-time, great interface and can be used in multiple cities |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: Very handy Very useful. I just downloaded to use with the Bikeshare in Washington DC, since I'll be there on business. Wish it had the Google Map Directions by bike feature, so I could see what docks are along the proposed route. |
[2013-06-18] A Google User: Great app for NYC Citibike I've been using this app in NYC since Citibike launched. Love it! It's great to see the number of bikes and docks for each station right on the map at the same time. I baldy love that you can manually refresh it. I wish they used the updated Google maps api and also included NYC bike paths, but other than that, great app! |
[2013-05-05] A Google User: Good for locations, number always wrong. I use this app for capital bike share in DC. It's great for locating stations. But the number of bikes is always horribly wrong. Sometimes it says 17 when there is 0. |
[2013-04-26] A Google User: Most clear, accurate and comprehensive It's the Most clear, accurate and comprehensive of all the apps. Don't bother with the others |
[2013-04-19] A Google User: Great app! Will be 5 stars when... HD icon and widgets are missing. Apart from that it's really the best! |
[2013-04-13] A Google User: Great options! Over all great app. Bike docks very accurate. Always helpful to find close by docks. |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Empty, though active stations don't always shoe up in list or on map. |
[2013-02-17] A Google User: Great app Great app, and good for listening to user feedback regarding permissions. |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: Some stations are missing Some stations are missing on the map but other than that I love the app. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Great Works great, empty stations show up for me in London despite the other reviews here |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: best free cycle app |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Good job Functional, attractive, simple. Great job! Only gripe is that the app icon is pretty low-res |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Nice, minor issues In Boston, stations with zero bikes aren't showing up on the map at all. |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Stations disappear On multiple occasions today the Newbury / Hereford station disappeared both off the app map and off the list of stations. I don't understand. |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Mixed bag. I use it every day. This new version (9/2012) is a huge improvement. I love the new map with the pie charts for each station. Much more responsive. It kept my old favorites, too. However... Why on Earth does spotcycle need the "directly call phone numbers" permission?? The change log should mention this. This must be a bug, right? Also... A feature request for the new version of Spotcycle: Can you please bring back the feature of having the favorites list be the first thing displayed when launching the app? In the new version, I have to tap the menu, tap favorites, tap List view, and then tap my only favorites group. Any chance a preference or setting can be built in to set the default screen to not be the map of all stations everywhere? I would assume that the vast majority of users are ones who are regular riders and only care about certain stations, hence the awesomeness of having the favorites screen... |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Favourites Just downloaded the latest version, looks like a major rework, where have the favourites gone? |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Great success The developers accepted our feedback and polished the permissions. Very nice of them, thanks. The app is excellent now. |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Permissions ???? |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Great app Thank you for listening to feedback on permissions. For those wondering about empty stations, it depends whether your filter is for viewing docks or bikes. You won't see locations that have 0 of what you're filtering for. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Fine app Does what I need. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: UI improvements are great New navigation and UI are wonderful, much-needed improvements. Also thank you for removing the ability to read contacts. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Thanks Thanks for removing the unnecessary permissions (10/3/12) Old comment: Way to go with giving a long list of "what's new" but failing to really give any clarity on the new permissions that you are requesting. Are you aware that this is kind of standard Android etiquette now? Please (9/27/12) |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Discouraged V 3.3 is a sucky update. Nothing gets updated anymore. The new UI is very hard to use. I never liked map view, why enforce it as the default? And where has gone the "Nearby" list? I'm uninstalling this app. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Interesting Rare to see a developer remove permissions. Glad to see the contacts permission gone. Not sure why the direct calling was a big deal. Thanks for being responsive! |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Great app, neat update with a bit of a fault I love this app, been using it for nearly a year in Toronto and their bixi system. The new update made it easy to see how many bikes are available on the map view without needing to click the station. Only fault is that if that station doesn't have any bikes it doesn't show the station at all. I understand that you don't need to know about that station if you need a bike so it shows ones that have some, but I use the app plenty enough of times to see if there are stations with any spaces for the bike I'm riding. Usually I know the stations around me but sometimes I go to an area I don't normally use so it'd be good to know that the station does exist for me to unload the bike. You can switch the view to the older red circles and dots, which I'll probably be doing for the time being. So it's not a huge loss. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Thanks for removing intrusive permissions Nice app. Great extra for Hubway in Boston. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Excellent Thanks for listening to feedback on permissions. Great app. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Excellent & accurate |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: don't update major bug needs to account for empty stations. please fix this major flaw |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Stations disappear form the map when empty I loaded the map for Boston and my closest station was gone. What's up? I checked Hubway's online map and it turns out the station in question was still there, just empty of bikes. I consider this to be a pretty major flaw. |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: do not upgrade Incredibly poor upgrade. I am deleting this app. |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Permissions? Good and accurate, but don't understand the need for requesting permission to contacts and making calls |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Great update! Can u link to hubway account? |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Have trouble creating favorite stations, but otherwise love this |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Accurate and useful |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Intrusive permissions with few benefits No explanation for making phone calls. Shouldn't have required contacts. Why not make it easier to add add favorites through the user interface instead of those other "improvements"? |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: New permissions Just uninstalled this until I see an explanation of the read contacts and make calls permissions |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Unacceptable permissions No explanation why it needs contacts and ability to phone. Thus I refuse to upgrade. |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: HATE HATE HATE this new interface. Gonna see if I can rollback, then the stars will go up again. |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Useless Cannot switch between list, map, or settings view. Makes the app completely useless. |
[2012-09-05] ST: Useless Cannot switch between list, map, or settings view. Makes the app completely useless. |

[2012-08-03] A Google User: Needs work for Nexus 7 As poster said below, there is no way to navigate between menu screens on Nexus 7 tablet. Please update! Otherwise this is a great app that I use on my phone all the time! |

[2012-08-02] A Google User: Useful app, needs update for Nexus 7 As far as I can tell, there is no way to get between different screens in the app on a device without a hardware "menu" button. So the only way to get to the map, for example, is to first pick a station and then bring it up on a map. |

[2012-07-02] A Google User: MY location on the map is always wrong Pretty good application. However, The GPS locator for my position on the map has never been right. I've just tried it 3 different times, and each time I receive a different location. Please fix this!!! Also, I wish the map had a "toggle" for showing the # of bikes at the racks. Clicking each and every red spot on the map is kind of a pain... |

[2011-12-26] A Google User: Stations or Bikes Recent update is horrendous. I used to be able to set the map to show open stations or bikes. No longer, now have to click each station individually to see if it had open slots or available bikes. Serious regression of capability. |

[2011-10-12] Marc-André: Good overall, small improvements needed Very useful on the go. I've been using it for the entire 2011 BIXI season in Montreal. Two things I'd like to suggest when creating an address-based group: 1) allow searching by typing an actual address instead of having to move the pinpoint to the exact location. It can be hard to locate with precision in densely built areas. 2) Allow typing the radius value as with the slider it's difficult to stop exactly at "300" for example - I always end up with 304 or 306 etc. I like precision :) |

[2011-09-20] Andrey: Useful, but not perfect My main issue is for some reason it always centers the map at the same location, NOT current location. Not nice. Can u link the app w Hubway account? |
