Great for concentration I've been using SimplyNoise at work, specifically the brown noise, and it is great for drowning out distractions and helping with concentrating on the task at hand. Only flaw is that it doesn't stop when you get an incoming call, the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star app.

Love this I found this on the web a while ago and l loved it.. so I was excited when I saw the app. Probably one of the simplest, easiest to use yet useful apps and a nice, clean simple layout. Maybe they could add blue & violet noises? **Seems to cut off after about 20 minutes or so, pause for several seconds, then start again.

Needs to pause for incoming calls They finally fixed the skipping, so I'll give it three stars. It will be a five star app when it can automatically pause for incoming calls.

Best noise generator I've used... Basically ever. I have tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears) and the only thing I've found to help is brown noise. Most of the noise generators on the market focus on white noise which aggravates the ringing. Unfortunately, I don't use the app often since the only way I can get rid of the ringing fully is to blast it too loudly for a long term solution. Still a great app and by far worth the money.

Great but has a major flaw Would be 5 stars but there's no option to turn it off when I get an incoming call. Bought this app for work (noisy office) but can't use it because I get calls every 20 mins or so and it won't turn off or allow me to turn it off.

Fixed, at last! But..... Changed my rating from 1 star to 3..Finally, an update which makes this app bearable. Still needs an update to pause itself when receiving incoming calls call, and to not cut off after 30 minutes of use. Other than that, good job guys!!

Finally an update! I have had this app for longer than I can remember now and have never had any major problems with it, but have always hoped it would get the oscillation updates and a notification icon. While it did take over 2 years for an update, I am really happy to see these features show up and it works better than ever now! This is one of my most used apps when trying to get to sleep on planes, or just think at work. Thanks for the update!

Brilliant on Incredible, but... ...not as nice on Galaxy Nexus. I've been using this app on my HTC Incredible for some time, and it works flawlessly for a good night's sleep. Upgrading to a Galaxy Nexus, I find a problem similar to the others -- a break in the audio every 30-ish seconds. I hope the devs can figure it out and provide a fix. In the interim, I'm able to make do with the app on the old phone.

Oh dear This app is excellent on iOS, but rough around the edges on Android. The oscillate function doesn't work smoothly (jumps), and the volume control jumps to the right as you touch it.

Worthless until fixed... Hasn't been updated in quite a while, and the audio skips about once a minute. It would be perfect if it didn't have that issue, but with it... absolutely worthless. It turns a great noise generator into something that'll drive you mad! Really hoping that the developers fix this!

Has opposite effect of relaxation On my RAZR this repeats a loop with a pause every 30 secs. So instead of hours of continuous relaxation drowning out the world, this constantly interrupts any peace of mind. I wouldn't purchase again and suggest you look elsewhere until the fix it.

I really have A.D.D.= works Yes. I really cannot focus on hardly anything, even on my medicine, sounds effect me. Im a nursing student this, well at my horrible school, requires alot of studying ( teaching myself). So to be near my fience while he watches ESPN OR RACING CHANNEL SURFING , i put on my noise canceling headphones w this on my computer( i like brown), & it helps big time. I highly recommend. I looked thru itunes- which im a Mac girl, but no good white noise as good as this. Good luck!

One thing missing is the ability to play multiple sound colors at once. I prefer both brown and white at the same time. Also: no blue noise? Simple. Noisy. As advertised.

Nice but stops making noise whenever I alt-tab. It's quite nice and I do love the brown noise it can create, *but*, unfortunately it seems to stop whenever I alt-tab out of the application - and I do have to use my phone for other purposes. Also, whenever I get an incoming call I have to first stop SimplyNoise and then answer the call. Quite a nuisance! Like others suggested, probably better of just playing a recording of noise and using the Android player. Since it only cost me 99 cents I don't mind, but I wouldn't pay more for it until the shortcomings are addressed.

Problems with Samsung Galaxy Nexus First I'd like to say that I've been using this app for over a year and it is simply amazing. It calms you down, helps you sleep, I love it. However I just got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the noise stops for a moment and then starts again. It's very disturbing as it interrupts sleep, or concentration. Please fix this.

Better off with audio file Like others have said it skips every :30. You'd be much better off getting a pure noise audio file and playing that through the android audio player. Wish I had not purchased. The break is simply too disruptive.

Great Sleep Machine I've used the web version for the last year and love it for background noise while on conference calls. However, I've found the mobile app is an excellent sleep machine. The only issue I've found is sometimes the sound cuts out before the timer expires, but most of the time I'm already asleep by then.
