Purple awareness ribbons have been used to bring awareness to pulmonary hypertension, domestic violence, pancreatic cancer, animal abuse, xenophobia, overdose prevention, eating disorders, Alzheimer's disease, Crohn's disease, cystic fibrosis, epilepsy, Huntington's disease, lupus, fibromyalgia, religious tolerance, homelessness, victims of 9/11, ADD and ADHD, gastrointestinal cancer, thyroid cancer and ulcerative colitis.
