You must shake by rotating your wrist.  Just like a real eight ball, invert the view port.  You can also touch to start shaking, and touch again to stop.  If you are not seeing shake animation in the bubble, then you won't get a new answer.  Similarly, click only on the position name to see the illustration.  Touching the screen anywhere else initiates a new shake.
