[2012-09-06] Cheryl: I hate this app! This app pops up all the time throughout the day when you'refar away from radio. It interrupts everything. |
[2012-08-28] Dan: The weather screen: I can't see the temp witht the white sun and white lettering wtf good job Philips....NOT |
[2012-08-27] Brad: Awesome works perfect Love the hardware |
[2012-08-27] notraybradley: Horrible program Everytime I attempt to charge my phone, this program pops up. Everytime I try to connect to my Bluetooth headset, this program pops up. Everytime I try to sync my phone, the program pops up. It's always trying to sync to the dock. Give it up, Fidelio, the dock won't always be around. |
[2012-08-26] Lauren: Won't close I love my dock but half the time this app won't close. I have to try to close it 20 times before it finally will. Even my task killer can't force it to close. |
[2012-08-25] JM ツ: Just good enough to set the time 10Mo internal memory,... Couldn't find a nice thing to say. Absolute shame. Made by professionals?! |
[2012-08-24] Juliette: Phooey! Deleting all I can & STIL getting insufficient storage message! Right now, I have a very expensive chargeing station. NOT a happy camper. |
[2012-08-23] suyash: Baldy made app, don't use it While the dock is excellent, this software sucks. Just install once to set the time, and then uninstall. It's through blue tooth, so use a better player like player pro and use the generic clock alarm. So long as you are connected through the blue tooth there is no need for this ungodly app. It'll just slow down your phone, hog memory, and never turn off |
[2012-08-22] Jon: Ok. It works as it should, but it runs 24/7... I DO NOT want it running unless tell it to. Kills my battery. |
[2012-08-21] shawn: app is terrible.. In fact I would never have bought the speaker if I knew the app was this bad. Very slow transitioning between screens. Connecting to my BT headphones opens the app and stays running until bluetooth is closed. Connection is unreliable so it can't be used as an alarm clock, etc. etc. etc. No updates since January is ridiculous. Fix it! |
[2012-08-21] Michael: No good. An android sound dock? Awesome! Why do I need to have an app to use it? Every time I try to charge my phone on something besides the docking station it asks if I want to connect to the app. The sound is ok bit I don't understand why I need the Phillips and songbird app to listen to my music. |
[2012-08-21] Kyle: ? Was told I needed for my docking system for the speakers. A simple Bluetooth widget worked better. Waste of space. |
[2012-08-20] David: Eh Songbird is garbage! Need more options. |
[2012-08-20] Cord: Terrible app The speaker is great and works perfectly, but this app is a disgrace. No matter what mix of auto-run settings I use, it never seems to work as advertised. Even worse, after the app is connected to the dock for just five minutes, another instance of the app opens. When I try to close that, it just keeps restarting that second instance. And, every time I try to set an alarm, another instance opens that makes it impossible. I know that Android is difficult to design for, but it's like they didn't try. |
[2012-08-19] Emery: Horrible Makes a great speaker become useless. Randomly disconnects and reconnects throughout the night. |
[2012-08-18] Dave: Has potential, needs work Could be so much more. Should have dimmer for base lights as they are very bright. Should be able to set the tunein app for alarm for clock radio wake up, and many other refinements would be make this app. |
[2012-08-16] Vincent: Bugs to be fixed My mobile phone is Samsung S3. Sometimes the app cannot be closed. |
[2012-08-16] Vadim: App hunts for connection randomly App randomly wakes up and starts looking for connection to Philips speakers draining the battery. Happens in various places like in a car on the road, in the bedroom, etc. Luckily it appears one can uninstall the app after initial pairing and still use decent Philips speakers. |
[2012-08-16] Kristoffer: Doa? No pairing, at all.... |
[2012-08-14] RCZilla: Software is a Memory Hog The Fidelio hardware is pretty amazing. The sound quality from the small Doc is suprisingly good. But this software is a Memory Hog!!! It tends to respond slow and really bog when using multiple Alarms. If Philips can just rework the software and make it more efficient the Fidelio Brand will be the best on the market. One thing I really want the app to have is a way to Change the snooze duration time and allow for adding snooze with multiple press' of the button. Please Improve this software and you will have a real winner... |
[2012-08-12] Brandon: Not needed This isn't needed. Clock sync is the only useful thing. Dated slow hard to navigate. If you have the dock ignore this app. Dock is nice without the app. |
[2012-08-12] Ali: Does Phillips read these reviews? If so, they should know that their product is losing market share simply because this app is so limited and could be so much more. For example, there is no help or documentation I can find. I can't for the life of me get the graphic equalizer to function (a feature I just stumbled on because its not documented). The 'dynamic bass boost' is permanently off and won't respond to my attempts to change it. Choosing the different equalizer presets (like pop, rock, etc) seems to have absolutely no effect (even though a tick appears next to the chosen preset). Philips, LISTEN: You've wasted all that money developing the hardware and seem to be skimping on the software that makes it worthwhile. Either that or the developers you have hired are lacking imagination and skill. |
[2012-08-12] Charlene: Tune in. Unable to tune into local South African radio stations. Otherwise like the app, LOVE the speaker. |
[2012-08-12] Tron: Its alright.... Needs a lil more work on it to be fully good but its alright |
[2012-08-12] Andrew: You don't need this app Horrible UI and extremely clunky. See all the other reviews for the full list of problems with this app. I uninstalled after 30 minutes of trying to get it to even find and pair with the speakers. I then manually paired the speakers to phone and it works flawlessly. Using the speakers for 3 days straight with no app and no problems. |
[2012-08-11] Chris: Far to buggy For some reason app will change alarm settings by itself. Set up alarm to go off mon-fri and app will randomly change so it goes off everyday. Also once changed alarm time by itself. Worth less. |
[2012-08-11] Josh: For shame Awful |
[2012-08-10] Ren: Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Poorly made app. Don't need this app to use the speakers. Uninstall!!! |
[2012-08-06] Kerry: Good Stuff Works perfectly! |
[2012-08-04] bryan: Idk maybe its me but I think the app do what it should......it would be cool if it could do more but it is what it is......works for me :) |
[2012-08-04] Tasha: Good but annoying It's annoying that it shows up on my notification bar. Please give the option to hide it. |
[2012-07-31] thracky: Really quite buggy Being forced to use this app for my alarm clock is quite annoying. The snooze stops after I hit it 3 times, I used to have an alarm set for 8 that still goes off every day even though the alarm for that time doesn't exist, and 90% of the songs I try to pick for the alarm don't work. Not good. No wonder the Fidelio line doesn't sell well. |
[2012-07-30] Rich: Very bad program tries running app when connected to charger and bluetooth in my car. NEEDS FIXED. DO NOT DOWNLOAD |
[2012-07-28] Cullen: DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP Or Songbird. As you can tell from the thousands of posts they're simply poor programs. Just connect to the speaker through the phone's bt menu and use whatever music program you already have. It makes the speaker infinitely better! |
[2012-07-27] Dana: Yay |
[2012-07-25] JQ: Sucks It keeps turning the app on every time I connect my charger. That is stupid. Dev needs to fix. |
[2012-07-20] S!ick: doesn't work Can't get it to work on a Sprint Epic 4G Samsung Galaxy S, and a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0... |
[2012-07-20] the 7/25/2012
[2012-07-18] Katelyn: Serious issues My Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and I have to reload the app to get it to work correctly! |
[2012-07-16] Son: I bared with the slow response at first but eventually it became too frustrating i just had to uninstall. It's barely responsive & terribly slow! |
[2012-07-16] iain: Annoyingly buggy Xperia Arc various force closes. Fantastic speaker let down by sub par app. :( |
[2012-07-14] Tim: Meh The app is good for two things: setting the clock, and adding the Bluetooth pairing. Once the pairing is done you can delete the app, and use your regular alarm / music / radio programs with Bluetooth enabled, the base acts like a wireless speaker and charger whenever a phone is plugged in. I do wish there was a way to make the base station leave Bluetooth running while the phone is off the base, and a way to set the clock without the app - there are better music and alarm apps. |
[2012-07-13] bob: Not good Very laggy almost wanna makes me return the clock |
[2012-07-12] Chris: Disconnects my main poster from other Bluetooth devices I have Bluetooth JVC stereo in my car and every time I connect to Bluetooth this.program blocks the streaming from meridian so I can only use their bloatware songbird app. I don't want to your crappy as140/37 stereo dock that bad. the hardware controls don't work over the Bluetooth and its offensive that I have to install an app to pair the devices. I dealt with it until you hijacked my Bluetooth . Shame on you Philips |
[2012-07-11] James: Great idea app sucks |
[2012-07-10] John: App is pretty bad Use it to set time then uninstall. Frustrating app - the hardware deserves better. |
[2012-07-09] Nick: stacking? never thought I'd complain about this software, always worked until today i learnt its not reliable for an alarm clock as ne text, mail or various notifications cause it to either sleep or restart on top of itself an the alarm doesn't then work. galaxy s3. |
[2012-07-07] Nick: Sucks bad don't download! ! It could use more imagination. The only reason I have it, is to control the radio via remote. It plus through the original music player just fine. It shuts off when you get a text and you have to hit the volume button. The volume buttons don't work on your phone while listening to radio. You have to use a slide bar. Can't adjust any audio from phone or the radio it self. Song bird is a waste of space there is no need for it. But the star is for the thought. And there is alot of room for improve it. |
[2012-07-07] Aaron : One star This needs to be more friendly to other apps on my phone and is very stupid for an app on a smart phone. This app needs some major upgrading. |
[2012-07-01] Charles: Horrible, Unusable App I bought the Fidelio docking speaker that looks like an alarm clock, to use as an alarm clock. Unfortunately this really horrible app makes it IMPOSSIBLY DIFFICULT AND AWKWARD TO USE as an alarm clock. The start-up and shutdown of the app is a disaster. It does not close down by itself. If you press back and confirm that you want to exit it just carries on running in the background and sits in the notification area. The user interface is extremely poorly designed. The slider handle interferes with either the soft menu key at the bottom or the notification area at the top. I did not think it possible for a large reputable company to be pushing out such rubbish. Speakers sound great though. Will unfortunately be returning those tomorrow as the app ruins the whole package. |
[2012-06-30] Joe: Doesn't do the few things it should This should really just open and close the Bluetooth connection on dock/unlock. It doesn't do that reliably and so is basically useless. Tries to do too much, fails to do even the basics right. |
[2012-06-29] Nick: love it the best the bestt everr better then apple , ipod haha.. go android soo much better |
[2012-06-28] Christopher: Sucks. Sucks. |
[2012-06-25] vanessa: Atrocious, badly written s/w! Unintuitive UI. Internet radio cannot be stopped & starts up at random (i.e. middle of the night!) AVOID! |
[2012-06-24] Brad: Slacking Come on Philips |
[2012-06-23] Chaz_UK: Can't fault it Configure the app not to auto launch and you'll have less of an annoying experience with it. Set up correctly and all is good. |
[2012-06-20] sheenah: Not good! I like the Philips docking station but it doesn't work. Loaded song bird also connected and paired Bluetooth. No sound...disconnect Bluetooth sound. Tried many different times source was set to bluetooth. Also fidelio was coming on and off on its own. And songbird app was pretty worthless for me. Uninstall both! Samsung Nexus |
[2012-06-19] Tyler: Bad App I do not recommend this App. It is very clunky and annoying. The hardware (clock) I bought is awesome. The App... not so much. |
[2012-06-19] Joe: Awful Sad attempt, go back to the drawing board |
[2012-06-15] David Chris: Not great Clumsy ui and obnoxious persistence. Keeps stealing the task bar and constantly tries to connect to base, even when miles away. |
[2012-06-13] Jessica: Great app for me I have no issues with this app. I was initially afraid I would hate it though when I saw all of the bad reviews. I love it and have had it for about 4 months now. Love my speaker dock too of course |
[2012-06-09] the 6/12/2012
[2012-06-06] Derek: Slow and unreliable This app is sooo slow. If I press a button I have to wait 10 seconds for anything to happen which is annoying when trying to set an alarm. It crashes on me all the time and I have to force close it. It should tell you how long till your alarm will go off and if it is snoozing. I have thought that I snoozed it and actually turned it off and slept in. Terrible app. Should work like alarmdroid app but with a nice interface like you have tried to create. |
[2012-06-03] Dmitri: Bugs! When I connect a USB cable, the phone is "scanning for Philips xevices". As a result, I can't access my phone from my computer anymore. |
[2012-06-03] Rachel: So Dumb! |
[2012-06-01] paul_harrison: Excellent dock let down by this flawed software Clunky ui. annoying activation issues on connecting and disconnecting from USB and bluetooth despite setting it not to auto start |
[2012-06-01] Pete: Crap Can't get bluetooth to connect it is a very expensive phone charger. And they won't let me give no stars. Wtf |
[2012-06-01] El Mambololo: Slecht Hopeloos. Heb spijt dat ik dit product, de Android wekker radio heb gekocht. |
[2012-05-30] Gianna: It sucks to download It sucks to dowload it |
[2012-05-28] Jim: App is a total failure Uninstall app. Go to Bluetooth menu and connect directly to device. Use phone media. Works like a charm. |
[2012-05-23] Erik: Nice.. Awesome app, but why does it always try to turn on my blue tooth and open the app when connecting phone to any charger? Kind of annoying, but cool app though! |
[2012-05-22] Xymelin: App+Dock AS851 Work fine for me. |
[2012-05-19] JoE: Watch permissions Watch Permissions, especially on songbird. |
[2012-05-16] Marcos: Useless Total waste of time, does not even connect to my fidelio docking speaker....Philips please fix this application. |
[2012-05-16] anthony: It works I am only giving it 2 stars because the speaker dock sounds great! Fahrenheit does not work. When I charge the phone it freaks out thinking I plugged it into the dock. |
[2012-05-16] Josep: Intrusive It pops up every single time you put a charger on the phone. Just to name one thing. |
[2012-05-11] ET: Hate the software But the sick is awesome |
[2012-05-11] Patrick: Seriously the worst! I got it as a birthday gift. We thought the Bluetooth feature would be great, but it disconnects every 20sec or so. It's impossible to get through one song. I have to use the mp3 attachment which is ridiculous. |
[2012-05-11] Jarek: Yes, it is indeed that bad. |
[2012-05-09] Ben: Laggy, invasive Laggy, always running in the background, and only has other free apps in it. Tasker can do the auto pair, so I uninstalled this |
[2012-05-08] Robert: Wow not what we pay for Docks are great but the price we pay you'd think they'd atleast make an app as good as their products I can't even get my brand new phone to pair up with my dock accept stereo headset but 2min in it starts crackling and screeching this SUCKS what a waste of money :-( |
[2012-05-07] Turk: Great hardware, terrible software Slow, clumsy. |
[2012-05-06] Linda Allen: Easy to use Just set up Fidelio and Songbird on my Samsung Epic 4G and my partner's HTC Evo 4G in minutes and was able to connect quickly with the Phillips music player. |
[2012-05-06] loos3id: Love it! This app and the stereo are great. As far as the complaints in other reviews, I believe Philips addressed these with the option to autoconnect as well as the option not to launch the app when docked. 5 Stars! |
[2012-05-05] Timothy: The reason this app sucks... Is because the snooze button does not work. It just turns the alarm off. Doesn't snooze. Uninstall and using stock clock app. |
[2012-05-03] Ryan: It's ok.. It's a good idea, but I only use it when I need to get the clock on my dock back to the right time. Then I uninstall the app. There's no need for it |
[2012-05-03] mctonale: Works ok but Can we have a timer for Bluetooth activation? I don't need to search for Bluetooth devices when I'm at work, it interferes with my Wi-Fi until closed or times out. |
[2012-05-03] Sam: Great! Could be faster, but just wat i wanted |
[2012-05-02] Paul: Shocking. This app hardly works. I don't trust it to wake me up. The dock is pretty good though. Philips should be ashamed |
[2012-05-02] Andrew: Not great. App is ok though it kicks me off of bluetooth every 4-5 minutes. Please update software and this app! |
[2012-05-01] Anonymous: Ugh. Hardly ever works well. :/ |
[2012-04-30] MAXXL1974: Returning to best buy Now i know why they removed them all but the display. Good speaker amplifier. Bad radio. Here in Detroit i think public axis is the only one that has compatible steaming. The one station i want to wake up to does not even exist on your system. Sorry but just telling you my experience. Is there an alternative app |
[2012-04-29] Chad: Galaxy s Wonderful docking station phillips! Someone must be fired over this POS app!!!!!!! |
[2012-04-29] Abelardo: Crapp |
[2012-04-29] Chris: Awesome system!!! I don't understand the negative reviews, this app and android dock are awesome. In addition to not being an "i" rip off like most of the over priced apple docks, it has a lot of flexibility. Google music streaming through this lovely app to the speaker dock via wireless blue tooth. What's not to like!!??? |
[2012-04-26] Maira: App starts up when charging the phone! The app starts up every time I charge my phone. Annoying!!!please fix it! Very disappointing! |
[2012-04-25] Dan: Getting better |
