Pedometer (v. 1.4.1) Разработано Levente Bagi |
Counts your steps, displays your pace, approx. distance, speed and calories burned.
It has an option to notify you by voice in given intervals about any value. You can set a desired pace/speed and get notified when you have to go faster or slower.
If not accurate, try adjusting the sensitivity setting. Works best when attached firmly to your body.
On some phones it can't count the steps when the screen is off, try tweaking the "Operational level" setting if this happens.
Not suitable for all day use, as it consumes power constantly.
Drop me an email if you have any problems, suggestions, ideas. You can also create your own version as this is open source software. Have fun!

[2012-08-22] Jerry: Not much good Not very accurate. Walked over a mile, on the proper settings, and it reads less than 1/4 mile at less than .7 mph, which is nuts as my normal stride is over 1.5 mph. I see no reason to hang on to it. |
[2012-07-28] Harriet: Doesn't track the right distance. This app doesn't track the km/miles as you do them. Me and my friend ran for 30 mins quite fast atvthe speed we did a 5km in and it sed we did 0.5km and when i converted it to miles the distance stayed the same. |
[2012-07-24] Rae: Dont install Shi tty app. |
[2012-07-11] Martina: Nefunguje Nepočítá při vypnutém display. |
[2012-07-08] ms_ross: Not so good Easy to use, but it recorded only 1/4 or so of my steps. |
[2012-07-05] Addy: Nice little app. Uses very little battery when in use, its simple to use, easy to adjust. To be accurate the stride length needs to be set properly. It does what its supposed to. |
[2012-06-18] Ashish: Samsung Good one |
[2012-06-17] Marilyn: Not correct When i put my phone in an arm band it does not keep the correct count! How sad. :-( |
[2012-06-11] Nick: Wow This is a horrible app for running I tested it on a 1mile trail and it told me I only went .4 miles I only gave it a star because it won't let you post a comment with out one |
[2012-06-11] Caity: cool great for counting steps. of course, it may not accurately measure speed and calories because that depends on the distance between each step you take (which may vary) and your weight. still, i use it from time to time. |
[2012-06-02] Steph: It's just okay I think it ate up my battery life so I always turned it off. I'm seen other apps that work in a sleep mode to track your steps better. I wish there was a widget so you don't have you go all into the app every time. It's simple. |
[2012-05-11] Megan: Totally inaccurate I was walking at 4 mph, which it interprets at .7-1.2 mph! It only catches about 1 of every 4 steps. Total junk, don't waste your time. |
[2012-05-04] Krystal: Not working It just starts on it's own and does not stop. Even while during still. |
[2012-04-30] Nikola: Horrable Not work in background, sound echoes old values on reset and go faster/slower has no control. |
[2012-04-25] heather: Bloody terrible!!!! Bloody terrible!like after 200 bloody steps it goes back to bloody old 0! I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!!!!!!!!! MY LITTLE GIRL HAD IT ON HER PHONE AND IT WAS A HUGE BLOODY OF TIME NOBODY I MEAN NOBODY GET THIS OR YOU WILL BE WASTING A WHOLE BLOODY AMOUNT OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
[2012-04-19] Austin: Inaccurate |
[2012-04-19] Knightlie: Nice compact app, but randomly resets counter for no obvious reason. |
[2012-04-17] Amartya: Could be better Won't run with screen off! HTC wildfire |
[2012-04-03] Ann-Marie: Horrible I installed this app & shook my phone & it said I walked over 38 steps before I got out of my chair. When I did get up &walk it didn't count 1 step. I do not recommend this AT ALL! |
[2012-04-02] Hunter: Works great Used it when walking laps and worked like a charm. Was the exact same reading as my actual pedometer. |
[2012-04-01] J: Review Terrific app just make your adjustments and thats it. It is very accurate and no problem in the sleep mode it even will talk the stats to you, start it and stop it anytime my phone is an htc sensation this really is a quality app. |
[2012-03-31] Shanara: Dumb This app is stupid if you move your fone it counts it as steps |
[2012-03-30] Camellia: Cammac Do not like this app. Doesn't Count properly at all. Difficult to reset. |
[2012-03-25] Brett: Excellent program but... Although un-installing, giving app five stars because the reason for the un-install is NOT the programmer's fault. Some phone manufacturers allow the sensor to operate with the phone's screen off and some does not. Mine, however, does not and am not willing use up the battery by keeping the screen on all the time, especally since I already have a pedometer stand alone unit. |
[2012-03-21] Jesika: I want to like it... Intuitive app, but is very glitchy on my Droid 2. Sometimes can't get it to stop running, sometimes can't get it to keep running! Also can't seem to get accurate step count, closest is ~10% off. |
[2012-03-17] erin: not sure it works when I was walking it told me that I was walking 5.75 miles. I was on a roll but when I measured the distance with my car it was less than that.. when I got home I sat down and the amount kept going up... so it was confusing . the whole point of a pedometer is to measure when you walk right ? |
[2012-03-13] Kevin: Pure bullshit |
[2012-03-09] Martin: Killed battery I walked 3 miles from work and it recorded 1 step! Keeps resetting the count if you go to another application. Used 54% battery in 7hrs! |
[2012-03-08] Uttam: Excellent This app is great. I really needed a pedometer. lolz! |
[2012-03-05] clint: Q |
[2012-03-03] jeff: Pedomete Great app |
[2012-03-01] Nun: From the rabbit Only 2 steps. I go farther than that to my bathroom. |
[2012-02-28] Diara: Wrong info It gave me the wrong info |
[2012-02-27] Anna: Never Had A Problam but if u run or wall gotta have it in hand to fell that I wlking |
[2012-02-24] Rose: Best thing ever! This is the best out of 3 pedometers I tried |
[2012-02-21] Chris: Diary of a mad white runner I just got this Droid x2 and once the screen turns off it stops counting; if you hit the home button it stops counting. The screen does not have a time out option. Which drains the battery because the screen is on. Going back to my NB pedometer watch |
[2012-02-21] Sonu: Found this app better than others... |
[2012-02-12] Lucy: inaccurate inaccurate..told me i had burned >3000 calories after id turned it on for a couple of hours. you just have to pick your phone up and it counts it as steps. like the idea of it and layout though.. |
[2012-02-10] Emily: Great for indoor walking Other pedometer apps wouldn't work inside my house...but this one was 100% accurate!! |
[2012-01-22] Jason: Simple and easy Great little app. And it doesn't drain my battery! I'd say its about 80% accurate but that's about what you can expect froma smartphone app. |
[2012-01-12] theron: Did not work for me. Recorded les then half the miles I walked. Tried it out on a trail ithat was marked 2.2 miles long and when I was done app had recorded .95 of a mile. |
[2012-01-11] Nora: Not so accurate So, I downloaded this app and then fell asleep with my phone next to me, app still running. When I woke up, the pedometer informed me that since I'd last checked, I had walked 14,000 steps, or about 5 miles. Either this thing is shockingly inaccurate or I am a very impressive sleep walker |
[2012-01-10] Anonymous: Didn't work as expected Worked for a short time, but when I tried to check my stats later the same day everything was set back to 0. It seems this app can only be used to measure short distances, not your steps taken for a whole day. Droid2 global. |
[2012-01-07] Dennis: It works for me. The app works on my HTC my touch phone with no problems |
[2012-01-04] Corbin: Not the best When you lock your phone it stops counting your steps |
[2012-01-02] Edward: Poor app Not good. Sleep mode kills it. Uninstall. |
[2011-12-27] Basuraj: Pedometer Pedometer Useless application. I have tried to measure 1200 steps. 1st time apps stops unexpectedly. 2nd time reading was 545. 3rd time within actual 100 steps reading went to 386. |
[2011-12-18] Alexander: Good app It works for LG optimius. Good app. |
[2011-12-13] Joka: Depending on your phone, this app my or may not work. I tested on HTC EVO 4G |
[2011-12-11] Danger Pig: Inaccurate Says I took 58 steps when it was 100. Adjusted sensitivity and it is always way off. Not good unless you are okay with a margin of error over 50% |
[2011-12-08] Junior: Decent app Its simple and it works well on my lg esteem |
[2011-12-08] Joseph: Didn't work HTC desire |
[2011-11-30] ddtpoison: I like it. Simple, adjustable, functional and runs well in the background. A good app. On Samsung Galaxy S, android 2.3.3 |
[2011-11-29] Party of Six: simple interface But it's no good. It doesn't run in the background and default values for step length and weight is far from average. |
[2011-11-26] Chris: Keeps restarting & losing track. Good idea, falls down on execution. |
[2011-11-24] Adam: You need to test your product better. Do you expect people to hold their phone out? Uninstalling. |
[2011-11-23] JoeMaMa: Does what it says. Perfect pedometer, 'cause it's always with you. Need to be properly calibrated, but then works well. |
[2011-11-21] Marina: vastly inaccurate, listed my 1.9 km walk as 250 m! |
[2011-11-20] alexis: I took 10 steps and it only measured 4 o.O |
[2011-11-15] wafflejock: Good for a free app Gotta say it has worked pretty well in some testing with an out-dated MyTouch 3G, don't have the issue of not counting when the screen is off. For others who are trying this out check in the settings and adjust if it is too sensitive or not sensitive enough, these seemed to work for me. Also agreed with others in terms of having a logging option over the course of time would be nice. Depends on accelerometer, so works best if held against your leg/waistline otherwise misses steps swinging in big pockets. |
[2011-11-15] imcoolanytime: Inaccurate needs tuning. |
[2011-11-14] Kel: pedometer works great! one problem is it wont tell me the calories burned. |
[2011-11-05] Kj: Very unacurate. When i took 1 step it said i took 3........ very dissapointed |
[2011-10-28] Dave: Not very accurate When compared to a digital pedomenter, this unit was off by 2 miles. I used both simultaneously and the digital has been accurate 95% of the time. |
[2011-10-27] victoria: Love it... it is acurate... saved 25 bucks |
[2011-10-26] Witch: . I gave up trying to get accurate results. I'll just run down to The Walmarts and get a real pedometer. DROID X |
[2011-10-22] Taylor : Terrible cuz i counted 50 steps and it said 2 steps and i dident even want to give it one star but it told me i had to |
[2011-10-18] Tai: I love it! Works great! No GPS needed!!!! |
[2011-10-18] Saul: Works only when screen is on Works well when screen is on, doesnt work when screen is off =( |
[2011-10-14] Zaidi: nice Great n simple |
[2011-10-11] Korinna: Restarts Restarts itself randomly. Terrible terrible app. Don't bother wasting your time. |
[2011-09-29] Nimrod: Has potential Works with the screen off on my samsung galaxy s, but re-sets itself or stops counting without warning all the time, so it's fairly useless. |
[2011-09-29] DeNeal: its pretty cool so far try not to set the calibration too high or it might over count your steps |
[2011-09-28] Konstantin: Nw Not work with screen turned off. HTC Wildfire |
[2011-09-28] Beth: Stops working halfway through my run. |
[2011-09-17] Amber: Works when you don't want it to |
[2011-09-12] Deborah: Has potential Does not count when screen is off... Outside of that, a great and simple app. Hoping an update will fix. HTC thunderbolt. |

[2011-09-10] Saumil: Nice app Nice app, simple, updates will be great ;) |
[2011-09-08] Emily: Turned off when screen goes off. |
[2011-09-04] Alan: PeO |
[2011-09-02] Johnathan: Soso I think this is based on vibrations, so everytime you move, I think its count more than it should? |
[2011-09-01] John: Good idea, but either resets frequently or needs the screen active thereby consuming power. Uninstalling the app but willLook forward to next release! |
[2011-08-31] Jo: So so It is great for when u r using it for a short period of time. If trying to use it all day it keeps resetting to 0. Also no way to save any data! |
[2011-08-30] James: Garbage Garbage |
[2011-08-27] ____: Works well! Nice easy accurate |
[2011-08-27] Cindy: Not accurate. It counts whenever i pick up the phone. |
[2011-08-23] Anonymous: Rubbish don't install! |
[2011-08-22] Jeff: Reset problems It resets to 0 several times within several hours. Also it consumes battery a lot. |
[2011-08-21] sarcastibitch: works great put it on high sensitivity for Samsung Captivate. Walking the green mile from hotel room to lobby is more fun..158 steps..very accurate. no crashes |
[2011-08-21] GWZ: Does a good job of counting my steps set to 'low' sensitivity on my desire hd. No way to aggregate statistics over several days and graphing it thoug |
[2011-08-21] Craig: Great app |
[2011-08-18] SeeingThings: Are the comments made by the developers friends?, This App is pathetic!!. |
