[2012-09-28] Evpraxia: Love the app! I use MasterCook on my laptop and use My CookBook Pro on my phone and tablet - it works very well and allows me to use it in the kitchen or at a friends house. |
[2012-09-09] Henri: One of the greatest on Android I would give it a 5 star but need to be upgrade to JB Nevertheless kept the good work |
[2012-09-05] Patrick: Not Bad At All The simple fact that I can import multiple cooking program files, gives it four stars from me. Pros: import all kinds of cooking files, easy to use search function, GUI is simple. Coins: When scaling a recipe it turns portions into decimal 1/4- .25. When adding multiple recipes to the shopping list, it won't combine quantiles and ingredients, I think that is because there isn't a stand-alone entry field for measurements and ingredients. |
[2012-08-31] kamakalia: The one for Mastercook users Edited & downrated from 5 to 3☆: the ADD SUPPORTED/PAID timer addon for an already purchased software is really bad form and a greedy move. As an early supporter of this app, I am extremely disapointed. ---- Does a great job importing from MasterCook, and has a hand-free recipe reading function as well as a built-in grocery list. One detail: when publishing on facebook, the ingredients section is simply missing and the text formatting is messed up (no paragraphs + " l' " tranformed into " l' "). |
[2012-08-23] Jo: Where is the link Great program and have had it for ages, but where is the link inside program to launch My Cooking Timer? Your update is great, real disappointed about the link missing though. I downloaded My Cooking Timer only because I could launch it from within My Cookbook BUT then four d I actually cannot ): |
[2012-08-17] JCW: Great tool finds, saves, edits recipes This app builds on the wealth of web recipes making your favorites available offline. The import feature is absolutely ingenius. I really appreciate being able to edit and annotate the recipes. Continuous improvement makes this a great value. An indispenable tool for the organized chef. |
[2012-08-09] Jen: I really like it except.... It is constantly crashing on my Galaxy Samsung Tab. :( |
[2012-08-07] Carla: Looks great, works great! A few quirks with downloading recipes, which may be user error, but I think its pretty awesome. The best app of its sort that I've found. Also, a responsive and eager to accommodate developer is always a plus. Keep up the great work and thanks! |
[2012-08-06] debbie: This program is awesome Cookbook pro is well worth every penny. |
[2012-08-05] tony: What i have been looking for This cookbook is excellent. Love the feature it has to scrape websites for recipes. I would like the ability to add videos on how to for example chopping an onion properly. But great application |
[2012-08-03] Nate: Excellent App This is an excellent app with frequent updates & great customization options. The shopping list feature is a brilliant addition! |
[2012-08-03] Phoenix: 5-Star app w/o license check. I'm off network enough that the license check is a killer, and I'm sure tablet users will take issue with it as well. I've never had this app lock me out of my purchased content, but any app that adds that permission invariably start failing license checks because I have no connection. I picked this app over the others because it stores the recipes locally and isn't affected by being off network, a license check changes that. The primary reason for picking this app from among the many alternatives is gone. |
[2012-08-03] Katsune: Amazing, Awesome & Simple I have the entire setup including the cooking timer app and it is awesome! This renders my recipe box useless and with my tablet, i can plan my families meals in the grocery store, send recipes to my friends. There is nothing this app says it does, that it doesn't do wonderfully! I have even translated most of the recipes from my cookbooks so now it's all in my pocket! I love this and you will too, especially for the price! I would have payed $20 for this happily. |
[2012-07-18] Paul: Poor No documentation. Shopping list "feature" does nothing. Poor search and navigation. |
[2012-07-18] Pat: Having issues I followed the directions on saving my recipe to a text file and importing, but it won't work. I have emailed the developer. Also, how do you change the font? Documentation could be much better! |
[2012-07-12] Emma: excellent! just bought this App and it's great! you can also choose the font size..i highly recommend this!:)) |
[2012-07-02] Ken: FONT TOO SMALL The font is very small and cannot be adjusted. The import function works very well. |
[2012-06-15] Kyle: Save Excellent app but the save feature needs to be larger because I touch to save and it clicks my browser buttons. |
[2012-06-10] Chris: Good for quick reference. I think this is great for for a reference if you are away from home. I am only using on my smartphone so this may be different on a tablet. |
[2012-05-28] Rachael: Almost perfect I have been trying to find some thing like this forever! Was able to import all my recipes and can access them from phone and tablet, thanks to dropbox syncing. Would LOVE option to see whole recipe at once on tablet screen and larger font options. Fabulous. Does exactly what i was looking for, allows me to access MY recipes from anywhere. |
[2012-05-18] Aaron Frizzell: Nice application |
[2012-05-15] Valle: Good app but... I write rate this app five stars except sometimes it won't download recipe pix and sometimes it is just a link to ths recipe. Otherwise I really like it |
[2012-05-04] Donald: Cook Book A great app. Easy to use with nice features. |
[2012-05-02] Ashley: Importing is a hassel I think this is a great app although when I try to import Recipes it comes up with an error, please fix. Also, please add more color variety, the colors are very masculine. |
[2012-04-23] John: Great App, but disappointed on device availability Ive been using the free version of My CookBook for many months. I love it. Today I decided to make the jump to the Pro version. In installed perfectly on my phone. I went to install it on my tablet, which I have been using the free version on the whole time, and its not listed in the market. Apparently my tablet for some reason is not compatible with the Pro version. Not sure how that makes sense. So if you have an Acer Iconia A100, you may want to know that the app does not work with it. |
[2012-04-14] Ricklondon: Fantastic... An actual useful cooking app. Have looked for this kind of thing for ages. Love that I can use speech to text to read out recipes from books, then scale them. I also love the hands free recipe reader, works perfectly. The only thing is that the interface is a little plain, but that's hardly a criticism for an app that makes cooking that bit easier. |
[2012-03-28] angel: Great App I love this app, the only negative I would have to say is I would like to see the nutrition value of the recipes. |
[2012-02-27] Dave: Superb! This app works great and is simple to use. It would be nice to have a tab that shows the ingredients and the directions together so you don't need for to keep flipping back and forth. |
[2012-02-26] Crocboy: Better than a Fantastic App - It's PERFECT Version 3.3 running on Acer A500 Tablet.....Loved the phone version but have now downloaded the upgrade 3.3 for tablets. The new "font feature" works a charm for tablet screen resolution. No longer "just magnefies" the screen. A definate big step forward. I've purchased the paid version (no more ads) Got rid of all my paper recipe printouts from the web. Sorted all into catagories. Easy to find a recipe now. Also love the new "shopping list" and the "scale down recipe option", great for when there's only two of you and you're recipe is for 4 or more. What more can one wish for. LOVE IT !! (Would happily give it 10 stars if I could) |
[2012-02-22] Barbara: Terrific Love the app. Very easy to add recipes from the sites and categorize them to find them again. Customer support is terrific. Have sent in several questions and always got a response quickly. Highly recommend this! |
[2012-02-21] Janis: Pro is worth it I struggled with the free version and wasn't impressed. Took a chance on the paid version and was more than happy before my 15 minutes refund time was past. Love having my recipes actually on my device for when I'm out of service or Wi-Fi area. |
[2012-02-20] Patricia: Perfect I love it |
[2012-02-20] David: Imports Master Cook files! Only Android recipe app that I have food that correctly imports Master Cook files. New tablet format looks great! |
[2012-02-11] Kiria: Pigout Creamed paua, fried bread, maori bread, pork bones & puha dam i feel sick already love this app to death, ha ha ha, hmmm smells like its ready gotta go. Absolutely Fabulous. |
[2012-02-09] Michael: Best App Ever! |
[2012-01-27] Myles: YES! Thankyou so much! Best application ever just OMG Export to HTML *AND* someone made a pc interface to enter recipes?!?!?! This program has now superseded all my cooking software and will now be the only one I have to use!! WOOHOO! |
[2012-01-14] John: Awesome I've been looking for a cookbook for Android and the pro version is just awesome!!! It is very easy to use and fully customizable. It is compatible with meal menu and other software as well. It also automaticaly imports from most of the best recipe sites. I highly recommend it!!! |
[2012-01-06] Jess: Recipes? Simply takes other websites recipes (nearly all US so no metric) and copies them into a confusing interface. Better just googling original recipes and bookmarking. Additionaly most searches done bring up bad home cook recipes e.g - pour over canned soup and bake?! |
[2011-10-13] d00chala: Great job I love this app....it works great! It the only app I have ever given 5stars. |
