[2012-04-04] Jerome: Works Great...match the app to the type of event Must have a Looxcie Bluetooth video camera to work with this App. ....and everything works better if you use the app that best matches the type of video you want to capture. Resolution on on Android screen is OK for viewfinding but is sometimes clunky. Doesnt matter too much because video and clips saved in the camera memory (which is what I keep) is much better. I love that I get to be focused on the world around me and the event going on instead of holding a camera and watching through a tiny screen. I use the LooxcieCam app when doing activities where I want to capture ALL of the event (Example: I have cool video of my daughter's first time rock climbing) I use LooxcieMoments when I really only want highlights of an event. (Example: my kids soccer games)...LOVE that I dont have to go back and edit to get the 10 great plays and/or the goals scored....I did that the moment after the highlight happened. LooxcieLive is good for sharing kids soccer/baseball etc with my mother-in-law who lives out of town..but is sometimes clunky video. Screen goes to buffering too often as well. That said...I dont know of another way to privately share Live video so easily |

[2012-03-16] B: Sign your privacy away (see agreement section4) This may be a good app, but the Looxcie User Agreement gives them use of your contact lists, phone data, full use of your streamed video, or any video that you share with individuals using Looxcie (for their own reproduction or marketing) and may use your ID name at their sole discretion. Even if you, delete everything and terminate the agreement, their use of your data survives the termination. So once you agree it is Looxcie's and you can't stop them from using and making your data publicly available. |
