Locavore is powered by Local Dirt. www.LocalDirt.com is an online site where anyone can buy, sell, feature and find local food. Part of us is located in beautiful Madison, WI and the others are in sunny (sometimes foggy) San Francisco, CA. We are always looking for inventive ways to improve the Local Food movement; we’re listening, so leave us your feedback. If something is not working as expected, contact us before you leave a review and we are happy to help.

[2011-10-02] Ian: Useful and informative I had trouble with it but after reporting the problem to the devs saw it fixed. I use this at least once a week to find a new recipe with ingredients. |

[2011-09-18] deb: Great Allows me to plan for what's in season. |
[2011-08-13] Jessica: The farmers market listed closest to my home was not there!? |
[2011-06-10] Courtney: Eggplant in season in June in West Virginia?! Totally inaccurate information |
[2011-06-05] jasoncheney: Great app but large in size |
[2011-05-16] Phil: Easy to use |
[2011-05-16] Kain: Awesome |
[2011-05-14] Deborah: Lately opening it crashes and causes me to have to force close on my mytouch 4. Half the time it couldn't figure out where I was anyway. Boo. |
[2011-05-06] udflyer: Couldn't even open it...crashed upon opening. |
[2011-05-06] dzg: Useless in Los Angeles! |
[2011-05-06] Drew: The new version works just great for me on my droid x! Puts me in the correct state for in season instantly whether I have GPS on or not. Love it! |
[2011-05-06] Skoog: Update force closes on open, droid x |
[2011-05-05] Hunter: Neat idea, needs work Hangs perpetually at the load screen, "In Season" just reloads it, "Markets" shows me a zoomed-in map of Alaska (I'm in Virginia) and nothing more. I guess it's not getting a GPS fix. Why not use the network location? Is there that big a difference in what's in season between here and a mile away? |
[2011-04-27] Alek J. Hidell: Sweet as so far. Would love a "find local now" option that would show me the nearest open farmer's market. |
[2011-04-27] bob: Getting really annoyed with updates happening more than daily. Inadequate testing is the only possible reason |
[2011-04-26] Tori: A local foodie's friend This app lets you know what produce is in season and for how much longer and offers recipe ideas using that produce. What I use it for most, of course, is to find local farmers' markets near me. The various markets pop up on the map, I click them and they show their various days and times, organizers, and addresses. You can also share your local food adventures with your Facebook friends. As a bonus, their customer service is prompt and friendly. |
[2011-04-08] Heather: Great App Easy to use -- great app for finding local food, farmers markets, and other food producers. |
