Farver (the Danish word for "colors") is a program that calculates the average color for a certain concept or word. It has been developed by Enrique López Mañas, although the original idea is from Douwe Osinga. He first did a desktop based application and some time ago I wanted to do a web based application (but he was faster and developed another web application). It uses the Google Image Search API and PHP as a primary language. The source code can be download from here

When you type a word and click on the formular, the program looks for the first 8 images at Google, and retrieves the thumbnails. Then all the pixels are analyzed and the average resulting color is exposed as an hexadecimal value.

There are still some improvements to be done. I could measure the value of the most repeated RGB value to determine the color, or extracting the main area of the picture to perform the data analysis. If you have any suggestion you want to share, send me an email to eenriquelopez@gmail.com.

This is location based application which helps you to remind locations. You may want to remind yourself something(locking gate) before exiting from your home.Again you may want to remind you something before entering any region. You may want to remind yourself that there is a good restaurant while while you are close to that restaurant. You may drop a blip at that region. You can drop two type of blips. One type which will remind you if you enter the region and one type will remind you if you exit from a region. You can also specify the range of the blip. If you set the radius of the blip 500m, you will be notified if you come 500 meter close of the blip or go away 500 meter from the blip.

Das 5. Dschungelcamp ist fast vorrüber. RTL zeigt erneut "Ich bin ein Star - holt mich hier raus" oder kurz ibeshmhr - IBES eben.

Die Dschungel App kennt alle Sendetermine der Show und hat eine Erinnerungsfunktion. Zur Jeder Sendung kann ein Wecker gestellt werden, damit man nichts aus dem Dschungel in Australien verpasst.

Außerdem kann man für die Kandidaten abstimmen. In den ersten Tagen schickt man sie damit zur Dschungelprüfung, später wählt man sie zum Dschungelkönig.

Zudem werden Twitter nachrichten zu den Hashtags #ibes und #dschungelcamp abgerufen, und man kann direkt aus der App heraus twittern.

Wer also keine Sendung von "Ich bin ein Star - holt mich hier raus" (IBES) verpassen will, und wer nicht ständig die Telefon-Nummer oder SMS-Nummer nachschauen und abtippen will, sollte sich diese App einmal anschauen.

Was eine SMS kostet und was ein Anruf wird in der jeweiligen Folge bekannt gegeben.
