Now over 150,000 official local authority food hygiene inspection ratings from England and Northern Ireland as published on www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk. But with this app it enables you to get them on the move, find those around you, gives you directions and phone numbers.

[2011-08-27] JonathanWard: A must-have app for any Android device! I am one of those odd people who will not eat anywhere without checking the food hygiene rating first. As a result this application is extremely useful as I no longer have to open my internet browser and find the eatery on the 'proper' website. The 'nearby my location' feature is a welcome addition as I no longer have to manually search for establishments by name if I'm standing right outside of them. Some details are however missing - such as the breakdown of results. Otherwise, highly recommended! |

[2011-08-26] oldgoat: "star rating 3 out of 5" needs some of the basic detail that the website gives, otherwise might as well just use the website! Most important is having a breakdown of the three categories, since a low rating can hide a decent rating in hygiene and and structure, which imo are the important bits. Having it flip rom LS to PTR would be nice too. Even more impressive would be to have the ratings certificates given a QR datamatrix barcode that could be scanned and pick up the detail for either the app or the website. |
