You dislike to start your day with a boiled egg that does not fit your desires? Then the Egg Timer application is the perfect solution for you. Based on scientific research and methods it calculates the time an egg needs to reach your desired doneness.

Get the free Egg Timer - the only one that can boil multiple different eggs at the same time and uses the Android notification bar to keep you up to date.

If you like the app buy Egg Timer Pro which is Ad Free and supports App2SD.

In case of any issue or suggestion please contact the developer instead of just doing a bad voting!

Explanation of needed permissions:
Location information -
is needed to get the current altitude to calculate the boiling point. At higher altitude the boiling point is lower than at sea level.

WakeLock -
is needed to keep processor from sleeping and screen from dimming if selected in the options.

Full internet access, Phone state and Network state are needed for advertisement. Those rights are not required by the Pro version of Egg Timer.

Best soft boiled eggs I've had in years! Used it twice yesterday & they were great! Even explained that you need to put eggs in when water actually boiling - know that sounds obvious but thats actually what I hadnt been doing! Bliss!

Works great except one thing... Love this app. Having perfect eggs everytime since using it. One thing though: I cannot change the media volume of my device when it's running. Instead the volume rocker changes the ring volume. Because of that, I always have to set the volume in some other deep menu to hear it ringing when I muted it for some reason before. (HTC Desire Z / G2 with 2.3.3) Also another litte bug: Added a 6 min egg to the list, then selected 10min egg and pressed "add egg and start" but then the list had 2x 10min timers.

Works great! We like our eggs cooked differently. I like mine soft and runny. My daughter likes her's firm and we all like having hard eggs in the frig for lunch, snacks and salads. Before I had to guess at the timing, especially when we are traveling in the mountains. Now I don't. It times our individual eggs, compensates for altitude and tells me when to remove them. It's great! I think I'll upgrade to the pro though. I don't like the ads.

Wiggle jiggle... Yellow middle. That's the best of what you are... Whoa! As advertised: the perfect boiled egg! Can't believe how well it worked.......once I figured out how to use the program. Needs a bit of UI tweaking but THE best firmly boiled egg. Even figures out your elevation and takes egg size/temperature into account.

No multitask support? When the timer was underway, I switched to the browser, and the timer stopped, but stayed in the status bar as though it was still running.

Dissatisfied The best way to make eggs without cracking is to bring the water to a boil with the eggs in it. This app wants you to drop in boiling water.

Worked great and then the timer stopped keeping accurate time. It says the correct time but a minute or more gets added when alarm finally goes off.
