[2013-09-20] A Google User: Needs work It doesn't look proportional on big screen phones. It loads slow with "messy watermarks". Can't do everything the unit can. Can't send messages to unit like web can. Please improve! |
[2013-09-09] A Google User: Awesome ecobee! Being the first app if this kind I have used, and the ecobee thermostat the first I have used... I have no need to try others. |
[2013-09-09] A Google User: When it works It's great. But it doesn't remember login. Very annoying. |
[2013-09-09] A Google User: Nice stats, and app is getting better too! I love it. Do keep em' coming as in the app should have SAME ability's and functions as if your at the stat. Menus and of course smartplugs could be available also. The web portal is nice, its functional and fairly user friendly as well but its silly that even though my tablet and stats are on the same network in the same house the stats can't be accessed without an internet connection. At least an advanced user setup would be appreciated. Thanks again for the update! |
[2013-09-09] A Google User: A high school student could build a better app They need to update this to make it more functional. Won't work in portrait, the ems business app has bubble view but this one doesn't? Why are they different? Would be nice to see outside temp and inside along with system mode on main screen |
[2013-09-08] A Google User: Works great! I have no issues with this app or the ecobee. Works as advertised. Great product. |
[2013-09-08] A Google User: Horrible UI This app is in nedd of a serioys UI update - maybe it need some HOLO love too. |
[2013-09-08] A Google User: Could be better...a bit buggy Could be better..much better. Really annoying that the app exits when I rotatey device. |
[2013-09-07] A Google User: Latest version unusable Logs in but you can't tap any menu button and the slider moves but doesn't change anything. Please reissue was fine before update |
[2013-09-01] A Google User: Works when it wants Right now it just says select temp and you can't use the app and my bfs iphone says the same thing and I'm android s4. The eco bee in general was a waste of my money. |
[2013-09-01] A Google User: Doesn't work!!!! Stupid update not working now!!! I must say I am disappointed as its stuck on select thermostat wtf I only have 1!!! Oh well I guess thats what I get from canucks! |
[2013-08-19] A Google User: SUCKS! DO NOT BUY!!!! I am a retailer and installer. This thermostat and app is not reliable! Reports wrong house temperature constantly and won't always change settings even with a known reliable network. Extremely buggy! I would not sell one of these to my worst enemy! They tried to repair their server now all I get is either cannot reach server or it changes on phone but not at the thermostat. What a joke ! |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: Works but missing smart plug functionality I emailed the company about the lack of support for the smart plugs. It would be awesome to be able to turn plugs on and off with this app. Other companies have such devices, why can't Ecobee? |
[2013-06-28] A Google User: Great app great thermostat Beats the nest in pretty much every way. |
[2013-06-14] A Google User: Great thermostat But app needs a toggle widget, and tasker/locale support would be amazing. |
[2013-04-19] A Google User: Decent App Configuration features would be useful but decent all around app |
[2013-04-08] A Google User: basic very basic app. they could do more to make it fully functional. |
[2013-04-06] A Google User: Great thermostat, lousy app Why does the app force landscape mode and not remember login? Come on guys. |
[2013-03-13] A Google User: Provides minimal functionality Would be more useful if you could program the thermostat from this app. |
[2013-03-11] A Google User: Works well, but would love to have a widget. Would like a widget that could display the homeIQ reports widget from the website. |
[2013-02-09] A Google User: Good thermostats, not so good app! Only works in landscape. Needs portrait mode, even if all it does its rotate the text. Overall it could be better, with more intuitive controls, but I could live with that if it would work in portrait mode. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Working better The app somehow changed my programmed settings at first. Seems fine now. Like being able to adjust temp virtually. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Nice app Working great. Keep up the good work. |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: GS2 Day 1 I really hope I'm going to love this thermostat & app. Lots to learn.... But I agree that the login & password need to be remembered. If security of the home is an issue, make an option to block the address (which there may be). From what I can see, this is the major pain. I'll review when I have a better understanding of how both work. |
[2012-11-04] Gsimmons2005: Needs an update They need to update this to make it more functional. Won't work in portrait, the ems business app has bubble view but this one doesn't? Why are they different? Would be nice to see outside temp and inside along with system mode on main screen |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Awesome, but outside weather is inaccurate' Otherwise would be 5 stars |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Nice program Seems to work good for the short time I've owned it. It sure of nice to be able to adjust ac/heat while not home. I'd like to see a simple refresh button and an indication of what system is running and how long it's been running. |
[2012-10-22] Vlad D.: Awesome, but outside weather is inaccurate' Otherwise would be 5 stars |

[2012-10-09] bryan: Awesome Great product. |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Great but needs more Needs additional program controls for thermostat. Otherwise, an excellent product. Our gov't should have a tax rebate on the thermostats as part of energy policy. |

[2012-09-01] A Google User: Buggy. Needs new dev. Have to put in passcode EVERY time. Uses 9MB of flash and had 4MB of cached data? App is in need of serious improvement. |

[2012-08-14] A Google User: won't remember login on android nexus LTE This app is useless if you have to keep logging in to use it. Reinstalled a few times, doesn't help. I have the latest version as of 08/13/12. Maybe there are settings I can't find to tell it to keep me logged in? |

[2012-06-30] A Google User: new update fixes login / password issues Thank you EcoBee for the new version which fixes the login and password (remember) issue!! Now every time I launch the app I don't have to enter my lengthy email address and password! Please keep up with the updates... I'd like to see an indication of the system running at the time I login, or how long it was running since the last time it was on... The graph at the bottom of the app that shows run time is a bit hard to read even using a browser interface. Maybe a daily chart of how much run time would really be nice to glance at. Great work! |

[2012-06-29] A Google User: Great app Works well |
[2012-06-29] Brian: Getting better...app needs more abilitys App looks just like the stat screen which is great, only makes sense to have the SAME ability's and feed backs as if your at the stat itself. I hoped it would show icons for "system running" and other menus would be available as well but they are not. So far I love the app and what it does do it does very well, but app functionality could and should be improved. Please keep up the development this product rocks! |

[2012-05-03] A Google User: Great idea - bad program This could be the greatest device. But the lack of improvements from dev is a disappointment. Have to enter email/password every use. On nexus galaxy screen display is halved. Come get with it you are the new guys in town. Have it size and remember passwords. How to recommended some that is half a device. :( |

[2012-04-01] A Google User: Needs updated No updates in a long time. Temperature bar jumpy and frustrating. Constantly forgets login if you dont exit the way it wants you to. If you leave it running, but phone asleep, locks you out of your account for the day. doesnt go to full screen properly most of the time on my galaxy s ii. Program has gone stale and needs attention. |

[2012-03-02] A Google User: Best smart thermostat and app Works great on both my phone (EVO) and two tablets running HC and ICS. The ecobee thermostat is amazing and smokes every other connected thermostat I've researched (I'm looking at you, Nest...) |

[2012-02-20] A Google User: Too small on Galaxy Nexus Not remembering the credentials is a pain. Especially since with the Galaxy NEXUS high res screen, the app is so small you can barely see it. App needs to scale with display. Also no history display like the web page. I really like the thermostat though. I have two now. |

[2012-01-18] A Google User: "Can't reach server" ...is reported often...and "too many requests" so it does not connect. Plus there does not seem to be a way to have the app remember your email and password, so you need to reenter it each time you login...or not sometimes...no rhyme or reason. Finally, when it is connected, there is not always correlation between the app and the wall unit. Maybe a delay or lad or just wrong. |

[2012-01-14] A Google User: Nice Works great on my GS2. It only asked me for my login info one time unlike others that have to keep entering it in. Guess I'm lucky for that. You guys on GN update to 4.0.2 and half screen is fixed. |

[2011-12-31] A Google User: that password issue would stop me from buying more. If it takes this long to log in I could drive home faster. Fix it so I just have to log in to say 1 of 4 favourites. And I would up it. Really nice device great support but lousy android app. Fix this Either get an iPhone yo use or forget it. |

[2011-11-15] A Google User: Pretty good I would have given it 5 stars if it didn't keep asking for my login details. Needs the option to save your email address & password! Also would be good if you could view the history reports via the app. |

[2011-11-04] A Google User: OK, but basic Basic app that allows you to control temperature and see a few basic items. Does not allow you to go into preferences and change the thermostat set-up. On my Galaxy S, login is cumbersome because the login fields get blocked by the pop-up screen keyboard, so you cannot see what you are typing or touch the screen to navigate to the next field. Fix the login screen and add more functionality and my rating would go up. That said, seems solid and does what i most need it to do - check and adjust temperature |
