CycleTracks (v. 1.03) Разработано San Francisco County Transportation Authority |
CycleTracks uses GPS support to track users’ bicycle trip routes.
It's simple to use: tap Start to start recording your ride, Save at the end, and specify a purpose (commuting, shopping, exercise, etc.).
Data including the purpose, route, date and time of your saved trip can be sent to the San Francisco County Transportation Authority’s servers to be used by transportation planners and researchers learning about how and where people bike.
Users can cancel a trip at any time for any reason and no data will be sent unless explicitly directed by the user.

[2013-10-26] A Google User: Looses half the time, or half the ride If I pause half way in a ride (a shopping trip, for example) or just stop moving for 5 minutes, then the final time is only the time if the segment, after the pause. Yet the map and total mileage reflect the entire ride. Also the first time I used it it lost the whole first half of a ride. I have no idea why. |
[2013-09-25] A Google User: Didn't record 5 of 6 rides I 'think' the problem is you can't use strava and this app at the same time. Would love to provide data to improve bike access, but use a lot of the features in strava...so strava it is. If there's a way to record to both, I'm back in with this one. |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Great idea but flaky This would be a great app if it were reliable. But for the majority of my trips, even when the map is correct, either mileage or time is recorded as 0.0. Or , now + then, some other value that is far from correct. Occasionally -- maybe 20% of the time -- all the data for the trip is good. Hope to see a V2.0 that fixes the bugs (and gives us more access to the database for our trips). |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Stopped recording After a couple months of use it stopped saving my trips. Pressing 'Finish' causes it to exit and discard my trip data. |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Didnt work It was really cool to ride 31 miles in 18 minutes; however it was actually about 3 miles. Not good for data or me. Uninstalled. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: Unreliable Only records my ride about half the time, even when a gps lock is obtained before starting. Great idea though! |
[2012-07-28] A Google User: Neat idea, could be better. GPS doesn't stay locked, so sometimes entire trip isn't recorded. |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Too many shortcomings I wanted to use this to contribute data, but as others have commented, the timer runs before GPS gets a position, and pausing makes that process start over. So almost every ride is wrong for time, distance, or both. And some of the useful stats like average speed, you're shown once, but once the trip is submitted you can never see it again. Makes it lousy for a personal ride tracker, and bad data makes it questionble for municipal use. Painful. |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: Great idea but... Absolutely great idea. Would like to be able to log in on a computer to see my trips . One I took recently showed correct data at end of trip , then truncated both miles and time when submitting. |
[2012-05-08] A Google User: it fails to save a half of tracks |
[2011-09-20] A Google User: Needs GPS time delay Needs to have a function where it locks onto GPS and then starts recording. This problem distorts the data collected. |
[2010-09-18] A Google User: Interface a bit confusing, even after many weeks. Works on Galaxy S/Samsung Vibrant. |

[2010-09-05] A Google User: Love it now that I've figured it out! I have to keep the app open on my screen after starting a trip until I see it starting to collect data points. |

[2010-08-12] A Google User: Do you have a bike? Then you need this. |

[2010-07-20] Jennifer: Nice! |
[2010-06-05] A Google User: Great idea, but on Droid/2.1 GPS is rarely accurate, and often skips multiple miles at a time. All other GPS apps work fine. |

[2010-05-30] A Google User: Handy but incomplete, it deletes rides I forget to "finish", and never show me the route. The mileage is accurate though and that's what I needed! |

[2010-04-01] A Google User: Well it seems awesome, however it crashes whenever i try to view my first commute. I'll try to look at it again later or look at my second |
