Tired of constantly going back to your PC on brew day to look something up on BeerSmith or Promash? Do you really want to have to print out your recipe every time you go to the local homebrew shop to get your recipe ingredients?
What do you practically always have with you? Your phone! Why not have all this information at your fingertips at all times?
Brewer's Assistant was developed by and for homebrewers. A combined 20+ years of homebrewing means we know what homebrewers want. Many brew sessions were used in the development and testing of this application and many tweaks were made as a result of those sessions.
Features included in the free version:
- Display recipes, ingredients, and other details on your Android device.
- Importing/exporting/sharing recipes in BeerXML format. This means you can import your recipes formulated in BeerSmith, or even ProMash (using a conversion tool).
- Filter your list of recipes based on style.
- Add recipes (or just items from a recipe) to a shopping list and use this to take inventory of what you already have vs what you need to buy. No more printouts to take to the local homebrew shop!
Features in the paid version (coming soon... we have day jobs!):
- The usual calculators such as strike temps, SG adjustments, hydrometer temperature correction, SG/Plato/Brix conversion, IBU, ABV, SRM, etc.
- Mash timers with audible alerts.
