BarClone Free (v. 1.05) Разработано Dave Ingram |
These days, we carry more and more barcodes. Store loyalty cards (like a Nectar card or Tesco ClubCard) or Subway's SubCard are just a couple of examples, not to mention all the other discount cards we might have.
BarClone helps you to keep track of these -- instead of lugging them all around, it can scan and remember barcodes, so that you can then scan them from the screen. You can also just create a barcode of any type.
NOTE: This version is ad-supported and requires the INTERNET permission for that only. A donate version is also available.
BEWARE: not all laser-based scanners can read from a phone screen, and I can't guarantee that it will work. Please don't rate the app down because a shop's scanners aren't compatible.
Supported barcode types: Codabar, code 128, code 39, DataMatrix, EAN-13, EAN-8, Interleaved 2 of 5, ITF-14, PDF-417, POSTNET, Royal Mail CBC, UPC-A, UPC-E, USPS IntelligentMail
Coming soon:
- QR code support
- Creating reusable QR codes for contacts, bookmarks, applications, and more.

[2011-10-23] Ian: Tried installing twice, wouldn't scan |
[2011-10-18] Rob: Clone them loyalty cards! I'm always loosing my loyalty cards (Sainsbury's, Tesco, Subway) so I've found that this app is ideal to clone the barcodes on the cards. |
[2011-09-29] Jes: It came with a virus.. After installing I keep geeting adverts on my phone... |
[2011-08-11] Christian: Claims to scan, but first digits/bars of Tesco card are displayed wrong. In format list would be handy to name, e.g. Subway, Tesco not just code names |
[2011-08-09] Greg: Duplicates any bar code. |
[2011-08-01] Jesse: Add print ability This app is amazing, however... It could be improved to a 5 star rating if there was an option to print the upc's out on paper. |
[2011-07-30] RobertB: No GPS! I love this no-frills barcode app. It doesn't take forever to load, and most importantly, it doesn't want your GPS location to "share" with merchants. |
[2011-06-28] Erik: Works great, as long as no glare is on screen |
[2011-06-26] PAW: Does not do Codabar correctly |
[2011-06-22] christine: Don't work on x8 |
[2011-06-14] Darren: One or two small problems It doesn't handle control codes in bar codes: though zxing (> 3.6, so for now you'd need to compile it yourself) will pass control codes found in Code 128 bar codes (e.g. Tesco Clubcard), Barclone ignores the raw data – it won't see the control codes. It could do with more of the display area being used for larger bar codes: it SHOULD try to make sure that thin lines do not partially cover pixels, scaling as needed. Tell it to display a typical 16-digit Code 128 as Code 39 and you'll see what I mean. |
[2011-06-03] Tim: Doesn't scan easily. |
[2011-05-19] Michael: Couldn't figure out how to label the stuff I scanned. Was cool to be able to create my own codes though. |
[2011-05-07] Brandon: The app scans from camera really well and conveniently stores all my barcodes, but so far no store scanners have been able to read from them. :( |
[2011-05-02] Dave: A great idea, now to test it in the supermarkets |
[2011-04-07] Chris: Works well, good job! |
[2011-03-24] Matt: Great app. Just keep in mind the phone screen can be too reflective for some scanners to read. |
[2011-03-19] Aleksandar: The saved barcode is not displayed accurately enough on screen. The LINES of barcode are very often NOT far enough away from each other for scanning. |
[2011-03-02] Anthony: Cool idea, however it doesnt work when i have the stores scan my phone. POS |
[2011-02-28] Artimus: Cool idea, but doesn't work w Golds Gym scanners |
[2011-02-12] Martin: It scans ok but noticed the bar code isn't same as on the clubcard, the first half dozen digits are not what's on card that I scanned!!@! |
[2011-02-07] Dude: Fantastic! Just what I wanted too, works in Tesco |
[2011-02-04] Nick: Free your wallet... Ditch those pesky loyalty cards - worked well with hand scanner in Tesco. |
[2011-02-03] Jezza: Great idea! Shame not all scanners are compatible. |
[2011-02-02] Che: Simple and effective |
[2011-02-01] Thomas: Scan to phone ok but cannot be scanned at the checkout |
[2011-01-31] edent: Clever idea. Barcodes could be a little taller. QR listed in options but doesn't work. UI plain, but functional. A really good start. |
