Good tts for FBReader Overall its fair enough to use. Sometimes it will spell the word rather than read it as a whole. I noticed it especially if the first letter's font size is different (bigger) from the rest of the remaining letters in the word. It should also skip pronouncing punctuation and would often crash when a bullet of some sort was tried to be read.

I have spent hrs trying 2 download, just to get "error, reinstall", have reinstalled, reinstalled, etc, etc 10+ many times. Then tried copying from old phone, get message your trial expired. Uninstalled everything. Copied from computer,to sd card, & went to install voices in settings, hit download, then, finally able to get it working. Pshew, great voice but too hard 2 get installed. Bulb Made my HTC desire HD very slow,flakey and unresponsive so I had 2 delete it. I'll try it again in a few months and hope its been sorted. Will be a great app if this bug is fixed. Voice sounded great, just slowed my mobile notably down.

Best free TTS out there. Yes you do have to give them an email right off the bat, but if your like me you have a spam email address for crap like this. It sounds very smooth and if you's like, you can change her pitch (to make her sound more childish or husky, if that's what you prefer but it won't change it drastically enough to make her a chipmunk) and easily adjust her speed in the app which is handy if you like a speed that's somewhere between the choices in your system TTS settings.
