Veterinarian Niklos Weber, DVM, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Avian Medicine and Canine and Feline Practice) and has 13 years of veterinary experience. He has been a specialist in Avian Practice since 2007 and in Canine and Feline practice since 2001. Prior to that, he did an internship for one year at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, Michigan. Before the  internship he worked for three years as an associate at Bloomington Veterinary Hospital in Bloomington, Minnesota. He graduated in June 1995 from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and has had numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, many invited lectures and is the editor of the Journal of the North Valley Veterinary Medical Association. This application was designed to facilitate recovery from wrist pain due to De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. De Quervain’s is a painful condition that affects tendons that cross your wrist on the thumb side. 

The application provides an overview of this injury, including general information, assistance with pain control and a treatment approach.

Detailed information has been included on how to recover from this problem. Range of motion exercises and strengthening exercises are provided. A video has been created describing each exercise in detail to help ensure proper form and technique. This application is not meant to be a substitute for an evaluation by a healthcare professional.

In addition, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Arizona. 

Dr. Millward specializes in primary care and sports medicine. He is an assistant team physician for a major Division I University. He has a master’s degree in Epidemiology from Michigan State University and has several active research projects.
