Sleep Watcher (v. 1.2) Разработано cafe-irlandais apps |
Sleep Watcher helps you manage your fatigue and alertness by using the most recent sleep mathematical modeling. Whether you have irregular schedule or you just want to quantify yourself, Sleep Watcher will report and forecast your alertness level.
This app is based on fatigue/sleeps models already used is army and flight industry. The basic idea is that your alertness depends on:
- the hour of the day. The 24h biological clock is what scientists call circadian cycle. You will be more alert during the daytime than during the night. You also may be slightly less alert at nap time, around 1PM.
- your last sleeps. How many hours did you sleep last nights? At what hour did you go to bed? Obviously this matters. Sleep Watcher will compute your sleep reservoir or sleep debt.
Key features:
- Alertness calculation
- Sleep schedule
- Alertness forecast chart
- what ifs sleep graph
- Sleep watcher widget
- Import data from SleepBot and Sleep as an Droid
(Please send me a mail if you have trouble with sleepbot import, thanks!)

[2012-11-14] David: David I like this app has helped me to understand my sleep debt that accumulates and how I can address and get rewarded with a smiley face widget when I have had a good sleep.. it's simple but I like it.. I like how it's based on real data/airforce modelling.. give it a go. |
[2012-11-09] Greg: Room for Improvement The app seems based on solid data. However, the algorithm doesn't seem a good fit for me, because I have an unusual meal schedule (my breakfast is large, so my midday dip in alertness happens in the middle of the morning) and I frequently consume alertness-affecting medication, like Adderall and melatonin. It would be better if the algorithm could adapt its model according to data from the user, like from the alertness tester in Sleep Fit, and to events like drinking coffee. |
[2012-11-08] Janet: Boring No customizing options |
[2012-11-05] wolfie: Ok I like it |
[2012-11-05] Equal: Just started using When importing data from sleep not, this app reverses the day and month, please fix.... |
[2012-11-04] Dallas: Accurate Wish I could pan the graph to see the past sleep records instead of zooming in AMA out |
[2012-10-29] Leshan: Awesome Grate app but if could take into consideration that food makes us sleepy it would be the whole new level of awesome |
[2012-10-29] Charlene: This would be 5 star if it would let u add and subtract hours of sleep. For people like me who wakes up 3 or 5 times a night at times. |
[2012-10-24] lee.r.xs: Missing some explanations ADVICE: check your sleep history dates if it doesn't seem to match your actual alertness. CURRENTLY IMPORTS THE WRONG DATES FROM SLEEPBOT. Suggestion 1: I don't understand what the Sleep Reservoir line is. Legend with description/explanation, please. What Ifs tab: Percent Alertness, on Seems Like An Arbitrarily Chosen Number, at Time? Other than that, makes sense, doesn't crash, easy to figure out. |
[2012-10-20] Denise: Dee galaxy 2 I love this easy to use, plain & simple app. Works great with sleep as android. |
[2012-10-17] Amber: Great I appreciate the ease of use and that it's never crashed my little crash-happy phone. The apps that are supposed to use your accelerometer to measure your sleep are apparently too much for the thing to take. I only wish I didn't have to imput my sleep info every morning. I assume that's a step that would be simplified if I could use sleep as android. |
[2012-10-13] Beyo: Nice More work is needed, like naps, caffeine, alcohol. Interface needs some work as well to get 5stars. But only one of its kind on the market and does what it says. Integration with sleep apps sounds good but I'm not using any. |
[2012-10-13] Brian: I like this concept |
[2012-09-27] Erik: Needs internationalisation Just installed it and note that date format doesn't pick up on phone settings. Will keep using for a week or so to see how useful the app is. |
[2012-09-23] Sarah: Wow! Love the app. I'm crazy busy, and some things require more alertness than others. This app helps me plan and is surprisingly accurate. Awesome. |
[2012-09-23] Mary: Would like to see... I would like to see what ifs based on more hour options.... imports fine with sleep as a droid... but is horrible with sleep bot |
[2012-09-12] kathy: :) Quite useful but if the graph can let us know clearly what is the time at that certain point, it will be perfect. |
[2012-09-10] ddt: Works just fine Works just fine. Wish it will tell how long i should be sleeping to achieve over 90 alertness. Thank you for creating this app! |
[2012-09-09] Stacey: What ifs are weird I really can't understand what the what ifs tell me. Very unclear. |
[2012-09-09] Torah Stephen: Does exactly what promises! Imports stats from sleep as DROID perfectly and really reflects my status. Don't understand people using star system to complain. |
[2012-09-07] Luthe: Not for irregular sleepers I'm sure this is a good app for most people, but not for people without normal circadian rhythms. I can't use it because I don't sleep on a normal cycle. |
[2012-09-06] Shane: wow!!! |
[2012-08-16] google5c: Cool. Add scrollback+fwd to graph for 5star. Thx for interesting widget. Not clear how to make schedule for data auto-update from Sleep-as, will try. |
[2012-08-16] Coop: Decent Does what it says. |
[2012-08-10] Amanda: Kinda useless Does what it says it does, hence the 3 stars. But I've used it for a couple of days and don't find it useful in the least. Also, i evidently don't follow the mathematical models used because it would tell me I'm alert when i was about to fall asleep in my chair. |
[2012-07-10] the 7/18/2012 Helpful app, I use every day! Helpful for college students that need to know how much sleep is needed to be 100% alert on exams. It would be nice if it had a few more features though, like a more interactive 'what if' screen with input boxes for calculations and projected graphs. It would be nice to be able to scroll the graph to see further ahead in time and some sort of alertness history. |
[2012-07-03] Amye: So bad I don't even get the ratings and how they figure it out? I mean I'm very alert and focused now and its rating at a 30? How does it know when I went to bed...how well I slept...there is no set up at all. A waste of phone space and I'm deleting it now! |
[2012-06-25] balex: Excellent and fairly accurate Use it all the time to plan lunch, coffee breaks, naps... really awesome! Wish it could take into account lunch (adds to sleepiness) and that it had a dark themed widget. Otherwise, superb, especially when combined with Sleep As Android (which I use every night). |
[2012-06-13] Angus: I love it. I knew that my crazy shifts were giving me trouble but the simple visuals give me a clear sense of what I'm doing with sleep debt. |
[2012-06-13] james f: Ics Has yet to work correctly on ics. |
[2012-06-03] david: Well done! Very good app, I use it daily. Does what it is supposed to do, and does it well. Thanks for making this! |
[2012-05-22] Justin: Cool app Seen some complaints that the app had bugs but no problem with moto electrify. If you use sleep as Droid, it'll take your sleep data directly from that app and auto complete the sleep data. Pretty interesting. I like it. |
[2012-05-06] אליה: Very usefull app I use it for naps and to see when I will feel tired. Works great! |
[2012-05-05] CzBiX: More feature Can't record sleep automatic |
[2012-04-05] Tony: Worth having. Nice. Simple straightforward app. Needs a change in coloured text for 5 stars. Would pay for it. |
[2012-04-02] dearknarl: Please re-enable panning Panning around the graph was great. Please re-enable. It would compliment the new time scale views. |
[2012-03-14] Sanchio: Drained my battery and did nothing Useless |
[2012-03-14] johnkavadias: Neat way to visualize past and probable future alertness and arrange activities to make best use of it. |
[2012-02-27] Shannon: Use it every day |
[2012-02-19] Kris: Interesting &somewhat useful but could use some more options Good to keep track of sleep so can monitor sleep see if have good sleep schedule. Would be better if app had more options to edit should be able to click on a sleep entry to edit it and be able to change dont and background colours would be very beneficial for people with vision issues. I found that it said I was a certain percentage alert when i felt sleepy like dosing. I find annoying how can't scroll back to see graph of sleep from previous day/s as means can't monitor sleep enough. |
[2012-02-16] Chris: Helps to see Helps to see where in my day I am with regards to my alertness and which way I'm headed. |
[2012-02-09] Marco: Nice estimate :-) |
[2012-01-30] amoralis: nice idea, but requires manual import from sleepbot |
[2012-01-28] sharon: import data from sleepbot screwed times are correct but dates are wildly off the mark. if this were fixed rate would be 5. |
[2012-01-28] Marcos: Nice Works well. I always know when to nap. I wish it was easier to scroll the time. Like getting rid of military time n adding an am,pm option. |
[2012-01-27] Roger: Interesting/Useful App Been using the app for 3 weeks and found it has given a useful in site into sleep patterns. Would be useful to be able to edit the sleep details once added. |
[2012-01-19] Sean: Pointless. |
[2012-01-19] Chiefumpire: Records imported from sleepbot are incorrect. |
[2012-01-18] Ann: Great tool for pilots to keep track of their sleep.debt. I'd like to see an option to save. Something that can be sent via email. |
[2012-01-07] Rick: A Happy Camper! Sleep Watcher sets and maintains high standards. The basic premise is sound and is executed through creative programming. My favorite is the slumber face that is the Avatar of Sleep. When you have allowed too much sleep to pass by the Avatar..., well, you will have to find out for yourself! I highly recommend trying it! |
[2011-12-27] Hristian: Good So far so good.simple and effective just like sleep bot application |
[2011-12-20] Thomas: Very excellent! Great fun to track and forecast alertness. |
[2011-11-14] Jake: Interesting At least for awhile. |
[2011-11-11] Chris: Its Cool Its pretty cool and low space usage |
[2011-11-10] the 11/11/2011 Great app. I don't necessarily like sleeping with my phone but it's cool to see whats going on while I am asleep. |
[2011-11-09] A Peggy: Love it! I already used sleep as an android. Now downloaded sleepbot but this app by itself is really cool and very useful! Thank u |
[2011-11-01] Daniel: Very useful app. Allows you to track & manage your sleep. Would be great if sleep defecit stat could link to setting of alarm plus to reduce sleep def |
[2011-10-29] Goldengurl: Alertness???? I work the night shift and would like to track my sleep and fatigue levels. This app has some promise but I am definately not alert |
[2011-10-26] Holly: Wow Love it |
[2011-10-26] RACHAEL: 5star Interesting app |
