Think of the Push Ups app as your personal fitness trainer that is going to help you build up the strength to complete those 50, 75, 100 or 125 continuous push ups within a short few days or weeks, depending on your level of fitness.

[2013-01-21] A Google User: Just finished it I'll get this out of the way first: this app is excellent at keeping you motivated and focused. I consider myself lazy when it comes to exercise so apps like this are ideal for me. Regardless, I've just completed the app today (the point where it says you are now in maintenance mode) and retried to do as many as I could. My goal was 100 at one shot with initially being able to do 20. I tried today and was only able to do 43. This is doing the app exactly as it said and taking breaks whenever it was suggested. I believe the main problem with the app is that it doesn't scale well in difficulty. To do 100 continuously, the app's main goal was to have me do around 250 pushups in one day (I guess this was like the final boss). However, the sets were never any more than 20 pushups in one shot...so in the end I found myself doing many 18-20 pushup sets to reach that goal. I would have expected it to sometimes make me do sets of 30-40 here and there to 'test' me but that never happened. So the main way the app makes things harder for you is to add more small sets in a workout. Regardless, doing 43 continuously is the most I've ever done. Motivation 5/5. Doing its job 2/5 |

[2013-01-11] A Google User: Rediculous Some of your comments on here make me sick. You download an app that specifically states it helps with pushups but you want it to do squats.. Go download a personal trainer app and tell them what to add. This app is perfectly designed to help a particular target group. Military personnel for instance that might need assistance with pushing. And for all of you whining that you missed your goal by 20. Hydration and proper stretching are key! My guess, you did it wrong. Great app! |

It has a bell that goes off when your rest period is done, it tracks your progress, and it personalizes all of your feedback to improve your overall push up max. Critical features that other crowded applications lack. I haven't hit my goal yet though! |

I can feel that I'm stronger now though. I will carry on the keep your strength mode and see if I can do 100 push ups continuously after one weak time. |

The app terminates itself a lot of times, which is quite annoying as I have to restart the whole sets again (or restart the app and reach to the set I was doing). Also after I finished the 10 sessions for doing 100 continuous push ups, I could only do 60 in a row. (I could anyways do 40 continuous easily when I started, so it did not help me much) |

[2012-11-27] A Google User: I love it! The first time I used it, I set the goal to 100 push ups. I did what the app said. In the end, I could only do about 40 in a row. I started over from scratch. This time, I did the amount the app said to do, but during the last rep I just did push ups until I couldn't do anymore. I'm about 1/3 of the way through now and I can do over 70 in a row. Pushing yourself is the key. |

[2012-11-19] A Google User: Great App I let myself get a bit out of shape over the years. I downloaded this app as well as the sit up and the squat app. Plugged in my information and was all set. I am 53 years old. I love how the app takes you at YOUR OWN LEVEL. I do 1 app each day. Monday - push ups; Tuesday - sit ups; Wednesday - squats; Thursday - push ups; Friday - sit ups; Saturday - Squats; Sunday REST! I used to do push ups every day when I was younger and then one day I ripped my rotator cup. This app suggests every other day training which I know is a great idea. All in all I give this app a two thumbs up! |
