One of the things we seem to care least about is our brain. It's such a fantastic machine, bit it needs servicing from time to time.
A stressful life takes its toll on the hippocampus, a part of the brain that plays an important role in the consolidation of information from short-term memory to long-term memory and spatial navigation.
Our main stress factor is the fact that the brain is always in standby position. Cell phones, emails, meetings, planning... in short: multitasking. Stress triggers the brain to produce more hormones.
Those hormones may cause infarct, stroke, diabetes, adiposity, sleeping problems and depression, among other things.
But – learn the Mindfulness and use it frequently. Mindfulness will teach your brain to rest, and a rested brain is a ticket to good health.
Best of luck, my dear friend!
