IMPROVE YOUR LIFE BY CHANGING YOUR THINKING!
Not For Entertainment--For Self-Help and Self-Improvement (See Terms of Use Below)
ARE YOU STRESSED?
DO YOU HAVE ANXIETY?
DO YOU HAVE DEPRESSION?
ARE YOU CONTROLLING?
DOES ANGER CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH OTHERS?
DO YOU HAVE PROBLEMS IN RELATIONSHIPS?
DO YOU TEND TO BE JEALOUS?
DO YOU HAVE LOW SELF-ESTEEM?
ARE YOU UNMOTIVATED?
DO YOU WANT TO BE MORE SATISFIED IN LIFE?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this app can teach you how to recognize thinking that interferes with achieving your goals in life and how to change that thinking.
Irrational beliefs lead to many life problems such as stress, anxiety, anger, depression, conflict in relationships among many other issues.
Don't feel hopeless about changing your life. Learn the methods shown in psychological research to be effective with changing your emotions/mood and behavior.
These self-help methods use the tools of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to challenge irrational thinking. This Cognitive Diary app was developed by a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years as a practicing psychotherapist.
The cognitive diary helps you to determine some ways to challenge the irrational thinking. Once you have done that, it is important to read the rational challenges frequently until they automatically come to mind rather than the irrational thinking.
The app provides a simple way of doing this by reviewing the history of your recorded events.
Also includes password protection and editing of your previous responses.
Can customize irrational belief titles if using different system of cognitive therapy. Can customize emotions/mood list. Can add personal coping statements to challenge list.

[2012-04-25] iamtk101: Helpful Didn't realize I was stressing over a situation that happened a month ago. If I would have Written it on paper, it wouldn't have made much sense. this app asks just the right questions. I wish it would ask more. Too bad it can't predict out options that may help me make the right decisions to get help me get past what was bothering me, but at least it helped me understand what I was feeling. |
|
[2012-04-14] Lou: Superb! An model example of how technology can improve one's life as well as that of a company who puts a great deal of care and innovation into their apps. |

|
[2012-02-28] Ade: Dialectical Behavioural Therapy vs. á vis CBT I was taught Dbt,as opposed to Cbt therapy modality. I assume from becoming acquainted with this application, that there's not too too much difference between the two; except there being a lot more psychological tools we use in DBT. In any event, this app is apparently easy for most medium to high functioning consumers to navigate & use. Thanks, dev for designing a good app I'm going to be genuinely happy to share results w/ my therapist. Recommended highly for any and all who want to apply themselves.A#1! |
|

[2012-02-19] TheKeeper: An Excellent Mobile CBT Diary When I had initially downloaded this application, I recall thinking that it had a lot of potential to be incredibly useful for people who needed a mobile CBT diary. Unfortunately, at the time, I felt the CBT diary simply wasn't flexible enough to help people who may be using different terms for similar definitions as they work with their mental helth care specialist. This may not seem like much, but for those, like me, who want and need consistency, this is incredibly important. I had sent the creator of this application an e-mail detailing what I thought about it (since, at the time, one couldn't write very much in the review sections, here), and to my pleasant surprise, she responded and actually worked with me to see how she could improve the CBT diary to help it fit the many and varied needs of the people who use it. The latest version of the CBT diary is the result, and I'm quite pleased with both it and the incredible and friendly service from the creator. If you're looking for a mobile CBT diary application, this is it! |
