Lifting Log (v. 2.5) Разработано seankndy |
Lifting Log tracks your progress on a per-exercise basis. It doesn't need or want to know the days of the week you workout or your name, body weight, height and pictures of your gut like other over-complicated weight training apps.
It's simply meant to track your reps/weight progress per exercise (e.g. bench, military press, squat) and even graph your increases for each.

[2013-08-17] A Google User: Intuitive, straightforward, useful. Easy to use, simple design and robust interface. I would like the option to see a graph based on reps (or maybe have it plotted with the weight). Replaced my scrap of paper logging system beautifully. |
[2013-08-13] A Google User: Best Best free lifting log by far |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: Deleting some older logs Been using this for a while. But noticed that it's been truncating out some of my old log reps. And now progress graph no longer works. |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: Simple and works great! |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Simple. Easy. Useful Keeps it simple, no special permissions. GREAT APP! |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Good layout I like the layout of the screen. However the app couldn't keep my set count accurate and the "last" never showed anything other than "na". The annoying rest time can't be changed or disabled. |
[2013-06-15] A Google User: Good start Great basic tracking app. Wish I could export info to .CSV or .xlsx. |
[2013-06-11] A Google User: Good but one functionality short of five stars It's convenient, easy to use and tracks your progress. It could use a way to group exercises.for example group by muscle group or workout type |
[2013-06-07] A Google User: Fantastic No special permissions, no hidden charges... Thank you for a no-nonsense, free to use app! It has surpassed paid apps on the market place IMHO. Keep up the great work! |
[2013-06-03] A Google User: Need Help How do I change the weight unit to Kilograms? One of the best apps. Simple and easy to use. |
[2013-05-23] A Google User: Enter Seconds won't go away I try to enter a time because it tells me to and it won't advance even when I attempt to enter seconds. UI is very boring and hard to work with. |
[2013-05-19] A Google User: Good No frills app, not too complicated. It would be somewhat nice if the rest time was added into the notification bar |
[2013-05-16] A Google User: Great app Needs a share to email and Facebook option. |
[2013-05-12] A Google User: Dead simple training log. |
[2013-05-11] A Google User: Excellent truly free app does not need any special permissions to run Does not ask for access to any info or network access. That today is alone worth 5 stars. It works well too that is worth addl stars. I think I'll switch over to this that the host of other apps |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: Great app! No required permissions is amazing. 4 stars for that alone! It's also an amazing app. So 5 seems right. |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Great app Nice and simple. Too many apps have too much unnecessary bloat and useless features. This just keeps it simple and lets me track the way I want. One thing I would want changed is when you enter 0 weight for a lift (say chin ups), it doesn't save and you have to enter the 0 again for each set. A small niggle but would be nice if it was fixed. Otherwise excellent! |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Good app, but has music glitch Has an issue while streaming music through Google Play, using Samsung Galaxy S2, ICS version. In between sets, music changes to loudest setting destroying ears. |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Good but needs fixing I was looking for a simple app to record my lifts and this one seemed to fit the bill. However the progress charts are terrible and the key blocks out the most recent part of your progress - making the whole thing rather pointless. |
[2013-03-13] A Google User: Meathead Friendly Easy to use app. Does what the name says...nothing more, nothing less. |
[2013-03-13] A Google User: Simple & effective Only feature I'd like added is to highlight the contents of the weight/reps boxes on first press; one touch to select, then input weight straight away. Right now have to long press field, choose "select all", then type value. |
[2013-03-08] A Google User: Yep definitely good Its better than jefit in my opinion. Jefit is awesome but they chuck too much in e.g. You can Google exercises u want to do before or even in the gym. The app doesnt have to do all that for you. This app is simple and for pure gym (literally) users. In work out log and out. Done. 5 stars |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: Simple and best. No ads, no cluttering only the lifts YOU need. THE best log out there, for me. |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: Great app. Great app. Works well just needs an edit option on data fields. Hopefully on next update. Would get 5 stars otherwise. |
[2013-02-28] A Google User: Simple Effective App This is very simple. I list days by # and lifting order by letter. I use acronyms for failure workouts. Ex: SSF super-set to failure. I've downloaded many other fitness programs with too much extra junk. I don't need a directory of 1,000s exercises. I just want a simple tracker with a rest timer to prevent logging via paper/pencil. I only wish you had a similar app to track weight & measurements for my body changes. I've been using for almost 2yrs & I still can't find a better app! |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: Just about right Simple and flexible. Doesn't force you to do certain workout routines or sets like other apps do. Only drawback is no way to export or save data if you wipe or change your phone. |
[2013-02-18] A Google User: export data? Please have a "export data to an excel table" feature or the like thanks! |
[2013-02-18] A Google User: Amazing and Simple! Track your reps and sets with no hassle! No adds. No junk. No over complicated interface. |
[2013-02-16] A Google User: Pretty great I like the simple interface. Improvement wise, I would like it if the app was a little more customizable. For example, I listen to music through my phone using earbuds during a workout and when the beep signaling the end of a break happens, the volume skyrockets. Really hurts my ears. Things like that should have options in the app |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Great App! Does exactly what it says. And no invasive permissions. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Hhh Yeah |
[2012-12-20] A Google User: Can't find much at fault! Great layout and easy to use. Timer is a nice touch. The only fault, I can pick up on, is on the graphs. The key, for the exercises, overlays the actual graph, getting in the way and preventing you seeing it. Perhaps it could be made to appear and disappear by touching it? |
[2012-12-13] A Google User: Just what I was looking for A simple no bones about it log to track my lifts. Excellent program. Built in timer was a bonus, was not expecting that. Appreciate the ability to graph my progress. Hats off, good sir. Except now I'll prolly get stares from the rest of the gym..." That dude is on his phone after every set. What's that about?". One suggestion though, a volume control for the alarm, or the option to set it at whatever volume the music is at, cause it's super loud in my ear buds. |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Excellent Just I was looking for .... |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Third class non intuitive garbage. Its been long time since I have seen crap like this Titile says it all. Utter garbage download jetfit |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Good basic logging app But can't enter historical data |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Simple, perfect This app is so simple, like the description says no crap, just straightforward liftinglog Excellent |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: rather useless I find this app not good due to several reasons: I can't group exercises in "training days"; Exercises are sorted alphabetically; and probably the worst - when out in a gym and you are listening to the music - be prepared that this app will crank up volume to the max when it will need to inform you with beep that rest time is over ( galaxy s3). Actually, overall I find it useless, better is to write in the gym everything on the paper than to use this app. But if you need graphs use excel... |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: 5 star worthy but... The progress graph is utterly retarded! The key is right on top of the most recently graphed part of the chart. It should be much larger and continue to allow zooming in to see the different colors on the graph. Other than that I love this app! |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Great and eaay Very good app. Only downside is lack of export. |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Good app. Maybe something that keeps u going would be nice. Good job though. |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Could be prefect If only... Best app I've seen. Clean, simple interface. Two things that would make it fantastic: The add/subtract buttons for weight entry found in other apps The ability to set a routine.right now its a list of exercises Great work guys! |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Backup or expory Pleaseeeee make a bacup or export. I have alot of data as im sure others do. AWESOME PROGRAM |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: The best |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Dates not working. The dates are all wrong. Also graphs shows no date only month. If u can fix that and allow to change order of exercises it can really be good. |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: Great Simple is better |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Excellent usability and simplicity! No BS, just a log & progress - rly usable in the gym with sweaty hands. Though lacks ability to export your data. |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: No special permissions!!! Simple lightweight, doesn't need anything intrusive. No frills diary. |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: progress graph problem once i hv add various activities into the log, the progress graph become useless as it is hard to identify each of them. my suggestion is seperate each of the activity log in to a new graph to make it look nice and clear. also, is it possible to rearrange the weight and the reps input numpad to a same one? it is kind of annoying when typing in numeric data but using different kind of numpad, thanks! |
[2012-09-02] A Google User: Exercise re-order missing - fail This app has potential, but w/out the ability to reorder the exercises, it is basically useless. |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Great App Simple and easy to use. Would like ability to export to excel but that's all that is missing. |
[2012-08-13] A Google User: Almost perfect. Super simple, easy input. It remembers your last input rather than having to enter it again. However the icon is ugly, and it would be nice if workouts that you completed that day were checkmarked on the main screen so you can see what's left to do. The legend on the graph also gets in the way if you have more than 5 workouts, would be better placed in the top right. Update: It's not possible to export or transfer the data unless you copy it with a root app like Datasync. |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: Good Good |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Simple to use Love it |
[2012-08-06] A Google User: Solid |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Best Best app for this purpose |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Great No more notebooks @gym |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Everything I've been looking for! Put in which exercise you're doing. like lifting a weight, you can enter how heavy it is and how many reps and then it will show you your progress in a graphical! Simple! |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Key needs to be moved away from the most current entries on the graph. Perhaps have as an option to bring up when user requires. Otherwise great. |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: Lifting log Was exactly what I was looking for. Simple, easy to use. I like the timer for between sets. Can you please make something this simple to log cardio? |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Feature requests, please! Sean, please consider adding these features: 1. 'Reps (Y)' with 'Set count (X)' graph plotted as connected points. Currently, only weight graph exists, but reps graph would allow me to track this parameter too. 2. 'Reps x Weight (Y)' with 'Set count (X)' graph plotted as vertical bars. This is because there are exercises where one changes reps and weight every set. These bars would show overall "exercised effort". 3. Support for supersets, i.e. where multiple sets from different exercises are combined into one super-exercise. For example, one super-exercise would be multiples sets of the following: set of pushups immediatelly following with set of shoulder dumbbel flies and after that one set of trapezoid dumbbell pullups (whatever) etc. Thank you! |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: Great, but could use export! Needs import/export to SD card or maybe Dropbox! |
[2012-06-26] A Google User: Awesome Best weight lifting log out there. Can't beat this! |
[2012-06-19] A Google User: The best for tracking your progress I wish they'd add the ability to view the exercises you did on a certain day all at once. Plus a way to backup. Otherwise I like it better than the more featured apps. |
[2012-06-18] A Google User: EXACTLY what I was looking for I was looking for a replacement to the binder I used to carry to the gym...I wanted something that I could record my weight/reps on and be able to look back and see what I did last time and see my progress. I tried lots of workout logs, even purchased some....all of them had too much BS and crap I didn't want or need. Too much work, I just wanted to enter my reps and weight. I stumbled on this one, and it was perfect! Exactly what I wanted. The only thing i wasn't sure of was the timer...I thought I didn't need it either...but now i LOVE the timer and can't workout without it. Now I know I am getting the propper rest between sets......awesome. I would have paid $10 for this simple app. My only wish is that I could back up the data I entered. Whenever I have to have ATT replace one of their crappy phones because it don't work right I lose all of my previous data :( OUTSTANDING job Sean!! Hell I even set a timer to know when I needed to flip over in the tanning bed. |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: Great for tracking, no fuss Does a great job of tracking lifts quickly. Rest time notification seems unreliable, I'm guessing because my phone goes to sleep. |
[2012-06-03] A Google User: Smell Stanley See Something |
[2012-05-21] A Google User: Tiny and perfect I tend towards body weight exercises, is there anyway of plotting the progress graph for reps only? |
[2012-05-17] A Google User: Awesome Simple, effective. No need for extras. If you need assistance for an exercise, ask someone. Don't stare at your phone in the gym! |
[2012-04-27] A Google User: Good. Graph looks neat. Porn |
[2012-04-15] A Google User: Very simple Simple app, that does what it says on the tin. |
[2012-04-06] A Google User: Simple I used to have a piece of paper stuck to the wall in my gym and would handwrite exc/ sets reps and weight. This was fine but ive been looking for an app alternative forever and they all seemed overly complicated / finiky. This app is EXACTLY what I wanted, can do a set, click weight * reps and THATS IT. No bullshit. The rest timer is a great motivaional tool aswell |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: it doesn't get much easier than this! Perfectly simple, perfectly quick, the ideal tool for the job. (although it would be nice if you could choose the order in which it saves your exercises - I dont work out alphabetically, and IT doesn't let you save exercises in sequence!) |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: Great app! Love it but wish the progress graph would track total weight lifted or take into count weight lifted and reps. |
[2012-03-20] A Google User: It does the basics great good for No BS record keeping |
[2012-03-19] A Google User: Love it Great app, easy to use, simple yet the best app I've found for keeping track of lifting. |
[2012-03-17] A Google User: Carl Just what I need. Thanks dev |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: Simple, Minimal, Fantastic This is my favorite lift-tracking app, and I went through plenty before settling here. It is simple to use, has a pleasing interface, and mostly gets out of your way. Lifting Log specifically does not have mostly-useless features like so many other weight-lifting apps; neither does it have some garish or intricate user interface. It's just as simple and hassle-free as recording on paper, without all the inconveniences of that. |
[2012-03-07] A Google User: Very good Simple to use and very good user interface |
[2012-03-04] A Google User: Good app Simple and to the point |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Really simple = really good I've tried so many more complex apps. I'm not a Mr Universe, I just want to log my days, weights, and see progress. That's it. This is great. Would make 5 Stars if I could group MY way, and not alpha. Also, EXPORTING would be great. I like keeping historical archive items in Evernote, etc. |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: The Best but needs a few tweaks This is the best, fastest, simple and bug free fitness app I've used! There are 3 areas in which Lifting Log could be improved -making it unstoppable: 1. Groups - grouping exercises instead of just alphabetical order 2. Exporting and Backup - the ability to back up and email your logs or at least save them to the SD card as a text file (and later transferring to a PC) 3. Editing During Sets - being able to edit during sets would help avoiding having to wait til to finish your exercise when accidentally typing a wrong rep number. I don't know if the developer is still updating this but it's sad that it's so hard to find a complete fitness log out there that's this easy to use on top of having the features that some of the other paid apps have. If there is ever a paid version of this app with the features listed above count me in! |
[2012-02-25] A Google User: Best workout log I've found This is exactly what I was looking for. With a little pre workout entry I can quickly record the weight I lifted and how many reps. It also has a record of my progress. Good job! |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: Simple excellence Perfect for my 5x5 powerlifting routine. Would be nicer if it didn't try to add a new exercise every time at startup. |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: Simples So simple, its brilliant! |
[2012-02-20] A Google User: NO PERMISSIONS Finaly an app requiring NO permission (which constantly drain batt over interact and steal personal info GREAT JOB |
[2012-02-20] A Google User: Works Well Does the job nicely |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: Does the job Very good and simple |
[2012-02-16] A Google User: Nice and simple. Easy to use and just the job. Agree that some +/- buttons would be good. |
[2012-02-15] A Google User: This app is near perfect Exactly what I wanted. This app cuts all the useless fluff and streamlines the process of logging my workouts. The only suggestions would be to add some kind of grouping to the exercise list and to add some functionality to the set/rep entry dialog (ie. some +/- buttons to quickly increment weight by 5lbs or decrement reps by 1). This would eliminate a lot of keystrokes when you couldn't match the reps of you last set. Adding these two options would definitely make this an app I'd pay money for. |
[2012-02-04] A Google User: Great little app. If you're putting in history - reset the date on your phone before you make your first ever entry - o'wise your graphs will be off. |
[2012-02-04] A Google User: Outstanding. Perfect app for the avid lifter. Clean, responsive and does everything I needed |
[2012-02-04] A Google User: Its free Its good for a free app.....wish it would let u do superset w/o resetting the sets. |
[2012-01-29] A Google User: Works almost perfectly Does what it needs to do. Too bad it does not export log. |
[2012-01-25] A Google User: Simple clean ready for more This is a great app. It does wonders with the data it collects. Id like to see it become able to gve me more control over that data without complicating things. Great work Sean. |
[2012-01-20] A Google User: Nice Nice and simple |
[2012-01-20] A Google User: This app is great, I have been looking for an app that tracks progress & liking the graphs & the app size. Thank you keep up the good work!! |
[2012-01-17] A Google User: Nice simple which is good while logging. Wish i could assign a muscle group or routine but still nice. I can just add a letter before the exercise name so It's kinda grouped |
[2012-01-08] A Google User: Like alot The ability to email the graph or workout results would be nice so that you can keep a paper log or backup. |
[2012-01-03] A Google User: Won't allow me to change the weight from lbs to kg so I'm just deleting the app. This is the only bug I found |
