[2013-10-09] A Google User: Useless An orphaned app. Total crap and Splash just doesn't care anymore. If I could rate it lower I would. Splash Money for Android is nothing but a pile of steaming Antelope dung. How I loved the old Palm OS versions of this app. I used to literally run my life with it. How hard can it be to find an Android programmer that has even entry-level talent? |
[2013-10-02] A Google User: Needs more work A fter I enter info it resets its self and the data keeps on geting curupted |
[2013-09-25] A Google User: Get it working please! Used to be a good piece of software. Make major working update or take it off the play store... coz this really harms splashdata badly. |
[2013-09-19] A Google User: I've owed the Splash Data Suite since 2005 when I got my palm tx. Since then I've installed it on everything, my blackberry, pc, Mac, iDevices, and android phones. If you make a backup file of all your database whether you're using Splash ID Safe, Splash Money, or Splash Shopper, you can avoid losing all your precious data, ever!! I keep a master backup file encrypted on a USB drive just in case and update it monthly. I've been using this app for 10yrs and it keeps getting better |
[2013-09-04] A Google User: Downgrade from Palm This app was better with Palm OS. Although now we can import OFX files there is a Downgrade on what we can view: even with a big display there is no option to view balance column. Gave 3 stars only for the good old times. |
[2013-09-03] A Google User: Great app. |
[2013-08-22] A Google User: 4.9? You've got to be kidding! So one year later, a minor update that fix none of the major bugs. Still FC, still extra slow, still unable to sync properly with the desktop, still corrupting the databases. What a (costly) joke! BTW, the corresponding desktop version 4.9.0.0 has also major bugs (some new ones as well) Now, one more year since the minor upgrade and none of the problems with it (or the corresponding desktop app) have been resolved. How to you give zero star???? |
[2013-08-15] A Google User: Hopeless, Useless, Expensive The title says it all. Really disappointing. I have been using the entire Splash Wallet softwares for years and am, or should I say, WAS very happy with it. This Andrioid version is hopeless, data goes missing, not to mention that you need to buy the desktop version as it is not packaged together and that costs a whopping USD 19.95. Really regret buying this. I sent my complaints to their Customer Service and guess what.....they still have not get back to me with a solution. Think TWICE before your buy this! |
[2013-07-25] A Google User: Not good with Android I used with with my Palm and BB and I loved it. But there are so much less features with the Android and it looks much less worked on that I just deleted it from my phone. Moved on to Cash Droid for now. |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: It's true!!! When I went to add more entries after reopening the program, all my previous entries were deleted. Totally sucks monkey balls. |
[2013-06-01] A Google User: COMPLETE AND TOTAL GARBAGE! DON'T BUY THIS APP! Is there a way to get a refund? I have had it for two days now, trying to figure out how to use it and you can't do anything with it, including adding accounts or balances. I loved this program on my palm, but this one sucks real bad. Makes me eerie about buying anything else. If I could give this a lower rating I would. |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: Disaster Very bad application, it just did a reset of the database, and now I have lost the account which I have added together with all its entries. Unbelievable and totally unacceptable. |
[2013-04-16] A Google User: It sucks! I have been using this with the desktop app to replace Microsoft Money. It requires me to enter the password twice on nearly every log in, has crashed twice and had to rebuild. Now it won't sync! Says that the file is corrupt. It will install and sync the first time when reinstalled. Save your money |
[2013-03-30] A Google User: You got to be kidding!! As a loyal SplashMoney user for YEARS on my Palm and PC, I was interesting in having the same capability on my new Android tablet. After reading all the negative reviews, I was very concerned. I should have respected the reviews. What a piece of CRAP! So many android programs do so much more than SplashMoney for Android. The interface does not scale well on 7" or 10" tablets and so many features were missing. Some commands were difficult to find requiring extra keystrokes to bring up menus, when the SAVE or CANCEL commands should have been on the screen. I expected at least something similar to what the Palm version did. Nope. They took most of the things out. I found no budgeting information nor any reconciliation features. And for $4.99 where everything else is a buck or two? I would request a refund but it won't happen, I'm sure. Look at their website forums. Every problem reports has them saying, "Put in a help ticket". They do not want to discuss issues publicly. PLUS! After playing with it yesterday and putting in several test transactions to check it out, it LOST ALL MY DATA THIS MORNING! |
[2013-03-30] A Google User: Don't bother; buy a pencil and paper instead! What a disaster! The only thing that works is the synchronisation between handheld and desktop. Virtually nothing else works as it should. When the app is closed on the phone some, but not all entered data is deleted and the default settings returned. Various entries are missing data but it appears to be random. At least I spent less than the price of a pint. Trouble is I'll need several pints to get over the disappointment with this app. I don't want to award this app any stars. |
[2013-03-24] A Google User: Needs to be less than 1 Read everything before you get this app. It cost alot more than it is worth. Sync crashes the desktop version that will cost alot more than the app. You can only sync from home or office and cant see what others are doing until they sync also. Dont use this one. |
[2013-03-16] A Google User: Not working |
[2013-03-05] A Google User: Sucks The app looks like is been streach out very poor quality and there tech support sucks...try other apps and avoid the headaches. |
[2013-02-16] A Google User: Made a huge mistake and should have listened! Other reviews were right. This is an awful app. I use Splash ID, which I like, so thought I would take a risk. Bought online version (from Splash website $19.99) to sync and app. Boy, what a nightmare and waste of 25 bucks total. Even thought it doesn't have sync, I'm going back to Easy Money! Do yourself a favor and please don't fall for this crap app. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: SplashMoney Please save your money! I have used this app on my Palm for years and loved it. This developer has dropped the ball on this product for Android devices. I lost $4.99 but you do not have to, just don't do it! Terrible! Don't believe me then buy it. I gave it 1 star because it was the lowest I could go. |
[2013-01-01] A Google User: Now I use Google Docs One star is too much for this really bad app. Was a great application once upon a time. I finally got tired of the crashes, failed syncs, and other issues. Really a shame considering that I had been using this since the early Windows Mobile days... |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Worthless App Couldn't see any value at all in this app. The little it does is too cumbersome to mess with. I deleted the app. |
[2012-12-14] A Google User: No more! Sync extra slow! Corrupts database! Support useless. Contacted to get assistance for retrieving my database and they simply replied that they are sorry!!!!!!! Do not buy!!!!!!! |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Poor app Since two years ago waiting for fix sync problems. Too slow. |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Did love it. But now not so much Upgrade was a downgrade |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Not to good really. When I purchased the app just over a year ago it seemed like the best option. Now… sloppy updates… Samsung Galaxy S and Note II (if not other devices) display an “A” instead of “€”… god only knows how they let that slip??? Lousy customer service, with 1 word replies to emails that require you to keep mailing back everyday. The person who attended me seemed to know little about the product and even less about the Android OS. Very unhelpful. Hope someone in a position of responsibility reads this comment and has a word with their Customer Service staff. Just purchased a new device and found the migration of Splash apps very messy and poorly documented. Guess Ill be looking elsewhere or using excel. |
[2012-11-11] A Google User: Very poor The one app that i made sure was on Android before switching from iPhone and it doesnt work at all! I would give it 0 stars if I could. |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: Unlike Always lost my data, |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: OMG - What Happen ?! Have been using this app on my Droid for a while now. Has been working ok, but still not the ver. from my old Treo. Apparently you people did an update, because now it won't even retain my data. This is a POS (piece of sh- - !)! |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Hopeless, Useless, Expensive The title says it all. |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Why? Really did not fix anything. |
[2012-09-11] A Google User: It crashed! ! After using this for 1.5 years it crashed for no reason and deleted everything! After I re entered all my accounts it crashed again! What an awful program! |
[2012-09-10] A Google User: My bad is not working again:-( Version 4.9.1 beta is working thanks for fixing the application. |
[2012-09-06] A Google User: thanks for the update - not have been using this for the past 3 maybe 4 years and love the program. You did an update and I can no longer sinc to the computer on my droid razr. Have communicated by e-mail serveral times and still no fix. When it was able to sinc to the desk top it was a great program and easy to use. Get me a workable update and I'll give you back your 5 rating right now in this state it is no good to me. |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: New Version Review Splash Data should be ashamed. The app is still crap and unusable. Stay away and do not install. You have been warned. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: 4.9? You've got to be kidding! So one year later, a minor update that fix none of the major bugs. Still FC, still extra slow, still unable to sync properly with the desktop, still corrupting the databases. What a (costly) joke! BTW, the corresponding desktop version 4.9.0.0 has also major bugs (some new ones as well) |
[2012-08-13] A Google User: Good Idea, but .... If this worked, it would be awesome. Sadly, it doesn't sync with my bank, or my laptop. |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: Samsung Galaxy Note Great app. Wifi Sync with the desk top is great, no errors. |
[2012-08-10] A Google User: Disappointed by Mtbhoy Had loved this program and used it to it's fullest before. I waited for a long time for this update since I bought the Samsung Note in 2011. Most of the features in the old program had dissapear and the UI is just horrible. Please do a major upgrade. |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Worthless Palm pilot A +, Android less than F. Trully the worst app ever. you will eventually have sync problems and ruined data. |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Pathetic! If could give less than one star I'll do. No even this version works as it does for Palm or Windows phone. |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Sucks!! I cannot believe I paid for this piece of sh*t! Was a loyal customer since 2004. Waited two years for promised update and did not improve. |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Bad Tool bar is not there... Emailed customer support, no response yet... |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Recurring transactions? Would be better and save a lot of time if users didn't have to re-enter recurring transactions time after time. |
[2012-07-11] A Google User: Update fixes all my issues! 4.9 is the update I have been waiting for (far too long I might add). This fixes my online banking troubles, my inability to find the SplashMoney Desktop on my PC, and a couple other nagging bugs. Well done SplashData! You are back on my good list. |
[2012-06-27] A Google User: What happend? This was a great app on palm and was still great when I switched to iPhone but the Android version is just plain useless. What happend? |
[2012-06-10] A Google User: What a shame Used this for years on Palm and loved it. But useless on Android what went wrong? |
[2012-06-06] A Google User: Dee Don't waste your money! |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: Don't go here IMHO, this is just a bad app. Here is my experience using a Samsung Galaxy X (2.3) and a PC (W7x64 pro): It gets slower as you increase the data it contains. 2 months of transactions is painfully slow inserting or just opening the account. Apparently these guys aren't familiar with file access techniques. This kind of problem is unrelated to the device or version. Their response is to save data monthly on the PC side then purge it and sync. I followed this tedious procedure regularly. I have 16 files to import into my next app. I feel for those who buy this app and use it only on their android device. Sync is unreliable at best, nonfunctional at worst. It works for a while, usually taking multiple attempts; often a droid reboot before syncing properly. But it eventually reaches the point where it just won't sync and I have to reinstall. I actually had to reinstall on both sides once and won't do it again. Support is unresponsive and quits when they don’t get quick resolution. Note: I have other syncing apps that don’t have these problems. I uninstalled and will use the PC side only until I get my next phone and a different app like you should. |
[2012-05-18] A Google User: Not too shabby |
[2012-04-24] A Google User: SplashData charge me twice I got a problem with this app, SplashMoney and I wrote in to feedback the problem. Then I was instructed by the helpdesk to reinstall the app. However, SplashData helpdesk told me I will not be charged by doing reinstallation the app. But it's not true, it did charged to my Google account. So I appealled to SplashData, Feedback was I got to deal this with Google Play and it seems to me, it was my fault so I got to deal with Google Play. What a crap! So I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to buy apps from SplashData.Their help attitude is rather poor! |
[2012-04-21] A Google User: Big disappointment I have been using splash money for years on my Palm Zire handheld and I absolutely loved it. I finally decided to catch up with the rest of the world and get a tablet.. The main reason? So I could use my splash money on it.. now I am screwed because the app absolutely suks! It has non of the cool features I was using on my old palm version and it is soooo slow! Come on splash money team, can't you make this great program into a great app? I'll pay more for it but I want it to work! |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: best i could find but not great like that it syncs with my pc but its quite buggy. have not found a better option with sync ability. |
[2012-04-17] A Google User: Longtime user is disappointed I've been a loyal uer of SplashMoney for years. On the Palm Treo it had all the functions of the PC Desktop version but on my Droid X the program's function is limited to a checkbook log -- without graphs or reports, no multiple column display, no running balances, etc. It appears some of these functions are in the current iPhone version so I can only guess the Splash folks either don't have the resources to keep up with technology or don't care whether Android users stay around. Someday, someone will develop a real money app that will synchronize with a sister desktop and/or tablet app and when they do, I'll be gone. |
[2012-04-14] A Google User: Big Disappointment After many year of using splash money on my PC & Palm TX I was very disappointed to find this so very slow especially the android version (even the PC version seems slow). I had several crashes on the phone especially after syncing. I have now switched to Moneydancer on my PC and HandyBank on Android. That ius how it should be done instant response easy to use. |
[2012-04-03] A Google User: Still one of the best wallet apps out there. A little slow to respond on my epic. Miss the auto complete from the palm version. |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Support Sux Wish I could get into my program without it force closing every single time. It Sux I paid for this. |
[2012-02-29] A Google User: Needs improvements Add a visible running balance on the right side, so I can see where I'm at, and I'd be giving it 5 stars! |
[2012-01-30] A Google User: The last update date says is all.... Expensive. Not well thought out. Not updated since 2010. Does not deal with the new larger screen sizes. Really disappointing after being one of the best apps for Palm. Stay away from this steaming pile. |
[2012-01-14] A Google User: Sync Works for me Had trouble at first but support was very good...syncs w/o problem. Needs budget, split categories,.bill minder Looking forward to ugrade that will download from my credit union. Desktop needs I/O calener and report. cannot believe in this day and age that good money management apps that sync are soooo scarce . |
[2011-12-22] A Google User: Waste of money I spent hours transferring from my old windows mobile version to the new android version was able to synchronise but then the program crashed. |
[2011-12-03] A Google User: Its just crap Everyone is right, it doesn't work, can't make it sync, support is of no help. Just stay away. A great app for palm, a big zero for Android. |
[2011-11-24] A Google User: Really disappointing Compared to other splash data programs, this is subpar to say the least. Can't even sync with other platforms such as iOS or BB. |
[2011-11-22] A Google User: Stopped working Program worked for a while, but is now not functioning. Time for uninstall and refund. |
[2011-11-20] A Google User: Needs an upgrade!!! Used this on Palm and Blackberry. A++ Android C- No auto-complete. No sort by date up or down. I've tried to purge by date twice. Purges everything. Basically it does what I want, but it definitely needs an upgrade!!! |
[2011-11-18] A Google User: This has worked great ever since I started. To make this Ap work properly you have to buy the desk top program and spend time to set it up. |
[2011-09-11] A Google User: Don't waste your money. Loved the palm version. It was the best. This, however, is crap. Hoping that it would improve given time, I stuck it out. 6 months later, I give up! |
[2011-09-07] A Google User: Used successfully about 2 yrs then May/June 2011 it went bonkers & only works intermittantly. Support worst I've experienced, don't know product. |
[2011-09-02] A Google User: Shockingly Poor Force closes every other time, very slow, worked poorly for several months and now won't work at all. Palm Treo version was excellent...this is NOT! |
[2011-08-05] A Google User: Utter garbage Crashes, screws up desktop accounts, just a horrible, horrible app. |
[2011-07-27] A Google User: Desktop app is brilliant but it doesn't sync everytime and the settings on phone is limited. I would like to set date to dd/mm/yy for example. |
[2011-07-24] A Google User: This wont access PNC for some reason hence only 3 stars but it does sync well with my G2 and my MacBook. Wish it accessed my bank :( Updates please |
[2011-07-06] A Google User: working alright for me. just have to make sure to turn on the wifi to get it to sync. the balance sometimes is wrong after it syncs the first time. |
[2011-07-06] mike: working alright for me. just have to make sure to turn on the wifi to get it to sync. the balance sometimes is wrong after it syncs the first time. |
[2011-06-30] A Google User: This application does not work as detailed. It will not synchronize to the Windows Desktop app. I have tried 3 different devices and 2 computers. |

[2011-06-22] A Google User: Huge disappointment and poor customer support! I was a long-time user on the Palm OS and loved this ap. Upon migrating to the Android (HTC Evo Shift) I installed the hand-held version and updated the desktop to the Android version. Nothing but problems since. The desktop version works fairly well but cannot download any transactions on the hand-held (like others I get the invalid user id or password error.) Additionally, the hand-held can only be synced with the desktop one time. Next attempt returns "corrupt data base error" and requires a re-install. |

[2011-06-11] Primitive: When announced they promised 2 $ columns in landscape. Need for running balance. Otherwise works well on Droid X & syncs perfect w SplashMoney PC. |
[2011-05-28] A Google User: Not downloading transactions from EVO, only downloading from the desktop. As of now, this is no where close to the Win Mobile or iPhone app. UNINSTALL |

[2011-05-21] A Google User: Too slow & far too short featured My wife used this extensively way back using her Treo. With various reports and graphs at hand, she can easily keep an eye on our monthly expenses. But now, not only that SplashMoney for Android is very VERY slow, it's far TOO short featured! SplashData is a great company with (in my opinion) outstanding reputation in personal data management. Hope they address user concerns soon. |

[2011-05-18] A Google User: Come on guys Needs a home screen fast entry widget. get rid of the splash screen. faster loading and access.Use to be great on the palm yeas ago. sync portion is ok. Desktop app has always left more to be desired, but gets the job down. Always has needed more bank support and updating.splashmoney seems to be an after thought. Wonder if they even work on it anymore. |
