[2012-03-01] Gregory: Updates needed... Helpful but seriously in need of updating the locations. |
[2012-02-29] Siam: Ice Cream Sandwich not supported..update already Its been months since the ice cream sandwich release on galaxy nexus and still no update. Please update your app |
[2012-02-29] Connor: Great. Galaxy S2: would give 5 stars if in chequing Im given details instead of "RETAIL TRANSACTION" |
[2012-02-27] Vicki: Great app glad they finally got one for cibc |
[2012-02-27] Bob: Cibc Great app, very useful, I am able to do banking anywhere. |
[2012-02-27] Saeed: not compatible with ICS !??? There should be a new release compatible with ICS platforms ... |
[2012-02-26] BossMann: ICS SUPPORT!! NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED ICS SUPPORT!! |
[2012-02-21] Seb: Way too basic Just an html viewer, not an app. Can't even see the whole transaction description nor the bank account info. |
[2012-02-20] David: Great Much better than other banks' apps |
[2012-02-19] Ira: Internet banking, hobbled There isn't enough information in the online statements to distinguish one transaction from another; changing to landscape orientation only invests the blank space on the screen, no more information is provided. Being merely a locked down, single-purpose web browser rather than a proper app, I can't just sign out and hit the "back" button to return to what I was doing, I must use the home button and launch the previous task again. Also, I couldn't see any of my actual bank account info or statements. |
[2012-02-17] Amanda: Would be nice if it saved the account number and I didn't have to force close it all the time. Perhaps even making it more like the apple app. |
[2012-02-16] kris: Quit crying like little bitches with skinned knees people!!! I am sure they are going to fix the application. |
[2012-02-16] Heff: I find the app works fine for me (os 2.3) but I agree that there needs to be a way to see more of the transaction details (too short). |
[2012-02-15] Matt: Average at best Also doesn't work for me currently as of Valentine's day. |
[2012-02-13] Gary: Not Compatible with new Galaxy Nexus and Asus Transform e pad I am very disappointed that the CIBC banking app is not Compatible with new Galaxy Nexus and Asus Transform e pad. Fix this problem please!!! |
[2012-02-13] Corey: JUNK! Incompatible with android 3.0 and 4.0 ( ICS) App needed alot of work to begin with, now it doesn't even work with newer versions of android. Whats the point of developing an app if you are not going to maintain it? It took ages for CIBC to even recognise that not everyone is an apple eating sheep with an iphone or ipad. If this doesn't get resolved soon I think I'll be moving my business over to either TD or Scotia as they seem to be more forward thinking when it comes to technology. |
[2012-02-09] Marc: Rarely works...can never log in. Worked for a week thats it. Very poor |
[2012-02-08] Matthew: Pretty good App It works very well on Samsung Galaxy Vib. So far so good! |
[2012-02-01] Otto: Galaxy Nexus 4.0 - Not Working I downloaded this on my new Galaxy Nexus running Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and it does not work. Phone forces close and I can not do any banking. Needs update. |
[2012-01-30] warrior-27: Not enough info The description of what you used debit isn't long enough to show where it was from. I would think that is important. Otherwise eveything else works great: transfers, paying bill, account balances. |
[2012-01-29] Ilia: Not very good Can only see about 20 characters of each tranaction. I can't even tell what they are. Not very usefull. |
[2012-01-29] Ken: @#$%&%$# Don't work with ice cream Wtf |
[2012-01-29] The_Steve: Pretty good actually I'd like to see a button to close the app though. On my htc desire (running Oxygen 2.1.6) I need to kill the app to have it close, which results in the device not remembering my card number. I've been able to fix this by backing through all the screens again. (By the way, this security/privacy issue as that allows me to see my account info after I've logged out. Also confirmed on Nexus S. |
[2012-01-28] Dian: Dirk Cool and easy |
[2012-01-28] RodTO: No ICS or Honeycomb Versions Please update this to include a tablet and ICS versions! I'm sure CIBC can afford it. |
[2012-01-20] MidnightSun: Not compatible with ICS I upgraded my firmware and now i can't use the app.... not cool |
[2012-01-15] Carmine: Can't view statements very poor |
[2012-01-14] Sam: Sad No transaction details lacluster performance. |
[2012-01-10] digidev: INCOMPATIBLE? Ive been using this app for a while but now it says that my phone is incompatible. ITS A FRICKING GALAXY S |
[2012-01-08] EmperorEJs: Terrible app This is a garbage web app. I was lucky to have Ice Cream Sandwich pushed to my Wind Mobile Nexus S. I soon realized this app would not open and I could not re-install as it would not show up in the app market. The iPhone version looks, operates and feels much better than this horrid web app even when it was working. The best thing is I had to find out the hard way as CIBC tech support was clueless and had no idea about Ice Cream Sandwich was as he owns an iPhone. They don't even have a proper means or category to file an escalation for this issue. I bet the iPhone app has it's own category and excellent iPhone support. |
[2012-01-07] Steve: Good but unable to close "Back" button is unable to close app and return to the home screen. Keeps returning "We are unable to complete request..." (C106) |
[2012-01-05] Jordan: Mobile site... Make this into an actual app please. This is embarrassing compared to the iPhone version. |
[2012-01-04] the 1/5/2012 It remembers your password, but it should automatically log you off if you exit the app... UPDATE!!! |
[2012-01-03] Joseph: Handy Handy! |
[2012-01-02] Kurtis: Crap Not a real app which is forgivable - doesn't remember card number which makes it unusable. |
[2012-01-02] tfielding: still waiting for ICS support not compatible with galaxy nexus yet |
[2012-01-01] DeHann: Fix me! Very basic app. Where is the sign out button? Critical flaw. Rookie move. |
[2012-01-01] lpramsay: Very Convenient Great for transfers, checking balance, etc. |
[2011-12-29] Justice: thanks please update to ICS. only app that holding me back to upgrade. |
[2011-12-27] Roger: Can't exit after signing out This application is missing an important feature. It doesn't give the option of exiting the app. when done. I have to force close it from my phone. |
[2011-12-26] Tom: 1st and now last Please make it work with galaxy note! |
[2011-12-25] Bro. No. Three: CIBC EG Yup...works just like my PC |
[2011-12-24] Jester: Please update for Galaxy Nexus users The title is self-explanitory. |
[2011-12-24] Varakan: No ICS support There is no support for version 4.0 of the android OS. It's early, but it shouldn't be taking this long especially considering many other banks have already done it. |
[2011-12-23] Dwayne: No PC bank app? We need a presidents choice bank app now! |
[2011-12-21] G-man: Convenient but there is no way to exit the application I have to use task manager on my tablet to kill the application. Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 |
[2011-12-20] Jordan: Finally! Someone must of told cibc that not everybody has an iphone |
[2011-12-20] Moonyay: Great App but.... I loved this app when I was running Android Gingerbread(2.3) but I recently bought a Galaxy Nexus running Ice Cream Sandwich(4.0) and now I cannot install the CIBC App...I am unable to see my Nexus as a compatible phone...Please update and fix this problem...Thanks |
[2011-12-20] Dawg: Finally an android app Much quicker then using the laptop no doubt:) |
[2011-12-19] Steven: Works Great I can't be any happier with this. It's much quicker than turning on computer and logging in to CIBC online. |
[2011-12-17] Jpmose9: no ICS support the app dont work on Ice Cream Sandwich come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
[2011-12-13] Robbie Crash: Requires major work and compatibility updates Should work on ICS, but doesn't. App is a glorified reformatted webapp. Shouldn't be dealing wuth a compatibility problem because my device is too new. Especially with something as basic as a webapp. |
[2011-12-13] Kelsey: Needs SD card option! Needs option to move to SD card to make it better. I like how you can do transfers and check my balance |
[2011-12-13] the 12/16/2011
[2011-12-11] casey: Love it very functional and ppl out there all apps are web based especially banking apps how do you think they access your info and use your data |
[2011-12-08] nomi640: Not a app just a web site link Not a app just a web site link |
[2011-12-05] Chris: Alright i guess App is ok but cant seem to get remember card function to work which makes it a pain to type it in everytime. |
[2011-11-29] Michael: Just a browser in a box As other users have figured out, it's simply a browser in a box. This is not a mobile app, it's a portal to a mobile website. There's a reason people prefer apps to the mobile web, and it's because of the rich features an app can provide that a webpage simply cannot. This app is just a ploy by CIBC to say that they have a mobile platform for Android, when they're really months behind. That's a real shame. |
[2011-11-28] Derick: Good app... I love it!! Works good on my SGS2..! |
[2011-11-23] Thu: Cibc online banking Not working on GS2 ???! |
[2011-11-22] pet2cer: . About time! Seems to be same as the web version, including e-transfers and bill payments. Has issues with closing and remembering my card number. |
[2011-11-21] Anonymous: Not verry good it takes at least 5 times longer to log in as wooded to the iPhone and you can't pay bills from it |
[2011-11-20] Marcelo Figueirôa: Very good! I can banking on line and I feel safe using this app. Very fast and useful. |
[2011-11-19] andrew: Sux Why is it soooo slooooooowwwww!!! |
[2011-11-17] kingme: good but does not close app is good. can view balances and transactions. downsides are: doesnt close... i have to close it using task mgr every time; and cannot hide acct #'s |
[2011-11-10] willy: As advertised! Use it regular on my Nexus S. No issues. Very stable. Now I don't do internet banking on my laptop anymore? |
[2011-11-05] Edwin: Slow. HTC desire hd |
[2011-11-02] rebekah: :( Won't save my card number and I can't view my statements. Its eaiser just to use the internet site on my phone than the app. |
[2011-10-29] Sosigene: Useless Can.t see any account details such as statements, etc, unlike others mobile banking apps |
[2011-10-27] Rob: Just a fancy mobile website Not close to the iphone version. Just a fancy website. Had the content, just not nearly as good, even though the features are the same. |
[2011-10-27] Jorge: J.M. Good app....but it would get five stars if you could see banking activities. |
[2011-10-26] Owen: This is the slowest app I have ever used. |
[2011-10-24] Abe: Good All good |
[2011-10-23] YMB: Not like the iPhone Pretty simple and it only takes you to CIBC Online page which you can do by browsing, unlike the iPhone.the CIBC app in the iPhone is really a helpful |
[2011-10-20] Sarah: Great! Perfect for checking up on your accounts quickly! |
[2011-10-16] Kristin: Password length. I can't even say whether it's good or not. I can't even login since my password is over ten characters long...frustrating |
[2011-10-16] Brian: Love it! Great shortcut to dedicated SSL browser which can only be used for CIBC banking and takes up next to no space on your phone. |
[2011-10-10] slr007: best banking app in canada! as above. |
[2011-10-06] r3ferrei: Garbage Lazy Cibc blows its money on an iPhone app but can't be bothered to make a proper app for Android. |
[2011-10-04] Zachary: Works fine on my HTC Dersire Z really handy |
[2011-09-30] william: Garbage, too slow on desire hd. |
[2011-09-27] Jason: Fast and Functional Everything I could ask for in a mobile banking app. |
[2011-09-25] Adnan: Pretty useless Just a bookmark to cibc mobile website. Slow and badly executed. |
[2011-09-23] lee: Garbage way too slow... uninstall |
[2011-09-17] Sean: Far too slow, takes forever go load! HTC Desire. |
[2011-09-16] Colin: ' It Does everything I need |
[2011-09-14] Elms: Mastercard has a customized website (image and phrase) to avoid phishing scams. CIBC talks about security but does not have this most basic measure. |
[2011-09-12] Mike: Exactly what I've been waiting for. Complainers sorry but get a phone that works and make sure u know how to use it, app is an app, NOT web-based. |
[2011-09-08] ady: Lame. Just a shortcut to their lacking mobile website. |
[2011-09-07] Zack: This is a simple web app that always lose my card information. It must have been built by the same team that has built the CIBC.ca web site. |
[2011-09-05] Aubrey: Works good, but could be better. |
[2011-09-02] John: needs some major work Once installed, it works like a mobile version of the CIBC online banking page. After signing out, app is stuck open alternating between http 500 errrors and the 'click to sign in' page. Fortunately with a task killer app installed, you can actually close the CIBC app. |
[2011-09-02] Brock: Worked fine on my Captivate! Looks like they slapped this together pretty 'quickly' though |
[2011-09-01] mark: I have to put my card number in every time even though I select remember card every time. Pointless and takes more time than just using the web. P.O.S |
[2011-09-01] Denster83: Took long enough for CIBC to make it to android, but works fine for me. It would be better if it wasn't the mobile site though. Motorola Atrix |
[2011-09-01] Eric: Very disappointing. |
[2011-08-29] Ahmad: This is just the web version. Lame. |
[2011-08-27] Ryan: Bleh TDs Android app works way better |
