Cash2QIF (v. 1.11) Разработано Steve Norris |
This is a simple expense tracking application that exports a .QIF file for Quicken. The file is created on the SD card and can be emailed.
When importing into Cash2QIF, put the .QIF file you exported from Quicken into the /Android/data/com.cash2qif.www/files/ directory on the SD card. Turn off USB storage or disconnect the cable before importing.
When importing into Quicken, for error message OL-221-A: Quicken was not able to complete your request
Instead of opening the .QIF file with Quicken Launcher, open Quicken first. Then select File > Import > QIF File.

[2013-07-12] A Google User: Nice clean data entry Simple, straightforward, and functional app that does what it says. No ads or baloney. I use it to collect miscellaneous cash transactions and dump them into Quicken. Great way to improve the accuracy of category reporting! |
[2013-05-28] A Google User: excellent just my 2 cents, after i type the payee and amount, can it auto scroll down to the catergory? my keypad is blocking the space for the category part. i'm using both s3 and s4 |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: I'm liking it Pretty much what I was hoping to find for recording the little cash outlays and get them into Quicken without having to do double entry. I guess Quicken 13 has a mobile integration feature but until I upgrade (if I do) I think this'll do nicely. |
[2012-11-03] A Google User: Very handy with a few quirks Does a fine job at exporting a single QIF file for use in Quicken desktop, which really helps me track on-the-go cash spending--it is NOT a complete personal finance tool, and doesn't claim to be. It memorises payees, categories, tags and memos, and has quite a good auto-fill, which is useful for frequently repeated purchases. A couple of things to watch out for: 'Export from... Last export' is apparently based on the date, so it will not automatically pick up backdated transactions or anything later added on the same day as export. And if you are using a Quicken 'default' category, be careful to select it from the app's list, or a second copy will be created. With those issued fixed and multi-account support (which ought to be fairly straightforward), I'd give 5 stars to this free app. P.S. If you want to make a credit entry, use the keyboard's minus sign in front of the number. It works. |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Nice app - with one BIG flaw Overall, I quite liked Cash2QIF. BUT there is no support for split transactions - and no plans to develop it either (according to the author). That alone forced me to look for something better. If you need to capture split transactions then Cash2QIF won't work for you. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Perfectly simple Does exactly what it says and does it well - exactly what I was looking for to keep track of my daily cash expenses and easily import them to desktop quicken. Thank you! |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Does what it's supposed to and works with Q2010 This app does EXACTLY what it's supposed to: track only cash transactions. Yes, Quicken 2010 does support QIF import for cash accounts. Perfect for those of us who previously used Pocket Quicken to track cash expenditures. The mail file option is very nice. Deserves a much higher rating. |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Simple but works UI is clumsy but it works. Would be great if it did export via Dropbox API, which is the easiest way to get the QIF to Quicken on my PC. |
[2012-08-22] A Google User: Didn't work for me Would not open my Quicken file. Quicken just needs to make an Android application. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Very good App to transfer cash expenses to Quicken Can you add on input keyboard negative value for amount field which would equal cash income transactions? |

[2012-05-02] A Google User: Good Utility I use Cash2qif to record transactions and transfer to Quicken. It has the best export feature of all apps I've seen. If it would memorize categories, I'd rate it higher. |

[2011-12-19] A Google User: Perfect for gnucash Really nice and truly SIMPLE application. The best thing is that it's open source, so i could look the source code. One of the reasons i use it is that it integrates really well with gnucash. Before that i was keeping track of my expense through memos. Thanks alot! |

[2011-12-04] A Google User: Works with Dropbox Just trying this out. It would be really helpful to track my Cash account on my smartphone. Seems like this will work for that. Tried using Dropbox as the "export to" on my phone and it imported fine into Quicken on my PC. That's a little less clunky than emailing files, in my opinion. May raise my rating in the future. Why is every word capitalized in Memo line? |

[2011-11-10] A Google User: Been using this app for 2 years now Perfect app ,does the job perfectly, very basic, light on memory (no force close or other shenanigans). I use it to track my cash spending and import to Quicken periodically. Those who are whining simply don't know what the purpose of the app is and they are expecting other things. I would definitely pay for this app if it weren't free! |

[2011-07-28] A Google User: Perfect for use with GNUCash too This an excellent free way to jot down expenses for import into GNUCash. Best features: export via email and export all entries since last export. For importing to a GNUCash register the `payee' field imports to the `description' column and `category' field will match to the GNUCash transfer account (for example: `Fast food' was default-matched to my 'Expenses:EatOut:Fast food' account, as desired.) Non-Americans just be aware that the QIF date is in mm-dd-yyyy format. |

[2011-04-05] A Google User: DOES work with Quicken 2010 From the app page: "Instead of opening the .QIF file with Quicken Launcher, open Quicken first. Then select File > Import > QIF File." It will import just fine if you do this. Also, remember to unplug your USB cable before trying to export your Cash2QIF entries to the SD Card. Otherwise your SD Card is unavailable (no error is shown, I found out. It just silently fails to write the .qif file). I like that it remembers vendors and categories for me on frequent transactions! |
