Nexus 7 doesn't have SD card slot so some sort of software patch needed. Update: On a play store it shows as installed on Nexus 7. Well it isn't do to USB error. Another irony is that other versions do install but that is not what I paid for. The wifi model of the sling box is $300 and all the vulkano models are wifi. I get great pictures and it never doesn't work. I don't know what I'd do without this thing! |

[2013-01-23] A Google User: Not as good as Windows app This app is pretty good but can't seem to stream at the same rate as the Windows app. I regularly get 1.8mbps on that one and with the same flow and internet connections I only get between 250 and 800kbps with this app. That leads to a lot of pixelation and occasional loss of signal. Should also have an option for auto-reconnect and for supporting landscape in both directions (for certain htc phones with the power jack on the bottom when in landscape). |

[2012-12-20] A Google User: Love it ... But ... I got a Vulkano Lava because my Slingbox stopped working and the customer service there is beyond awful. The Vulkano hardware and software were a breeze to install. However, I can only get remote streaming to work on Android when connected to wifi. On 3g/4g it just won't connect. This is kinda important and I hope it's fixed soon. And yes, everything is properly set on my router. |

IOS app worked flawlessly but the paid app for android phone freezes after 1 or 2 minutes. It freezes on both Samsung Galaxy S3 (jellybean) and Nexus One (gingerbread). Hope Monsoon Multimedia will have it fixed soon. |

Please purchase the player from the Adroid Market", which I did. I tried uninstalling, rebooting and rerinstalling, but that didn't help. I sent the logfile to Vulkano support a couple of days ago and am waiting to hear from them. The Slingplayer client woks fine. I guess this will determine if I return the Vulkano or ditch the Slingbox. |

It's especially important this time of year when I tailgate at UCLA football games. I watch college football games from around the country on my Tab while tailgating and then watch games on the Nexus while inside the Rose Bowl. Now that the Rose Bowl is saturated with LTE I can run Vulkano at highest quality. The picture on both devices is nothing less than stunning. I get no dropouts or lost connections. (Make sure you do this only if you have unlimited data. I can easily eat up 3-4gb of data in an day.) The only complaint I have is that the volume is lower than I like. I solved that with an external powered speaker. It's easily the cheapest solution on the market with the $100 Vulkano Flow and the Android app. A great combination that can't be beat. |
