Ultrasonics are cool high frequency ringtones that play at a much higher frequency than normal tones. This means that they can only be heard by kids and generally can't be heard by adults over the age over 20 or so. Find out just how far your ears can hear into the range of ultrasonic ringtones. Pretty much everyone should be able to hear the lowest tone (8kHz). Many people should be able to hear up to around 14.1kHz, from around 17kHz upwards we get into the range that only the under 20's can hear! And even higher frequency that only certain animals like cats, dogs and bats can hear. This app includes the frequency used as a dog whistle to train dogs, try it out, its free!

[2012-06-14] Grassy Gnoll: Just OK Me, 39, and son, 20 can hear all but last two. Hooked up to stereo also, and last 2 don't play, or cannot be heard by humans. I suspect they don't work. |
