City busses carry them There are also city pedestrian transportation officials that have a light changer. Also there are different types of lights, ones with ground sensor, knees with cameras, and points that are simply timed. It all depends. But this app works as said. Only on certain ones. And is for fun. Don't expect to be flying thru your streets

Dev is missing info I have no doubt that this will work; however, the dev should add in his description that opticoms work on IR beam. The same as what a TV remote uses. A transmitter in an emergency vehicle contains about 40 diodes, where as your phone MAY, only contain one. Finding a phone that does contain 1 isn't easy either. To avoid negative feedback the dev should have this as a disclaimer.

epic 4g.last update was fx suicide. I don't care what anyone says, IT WORKED until the last update. Id been using it for months here in vegas, every light with a box on top responded. good thing I had backed up a copy before the update. :-P

If you think this works, Then you must be unaware of how traffic systems work. Emergency vehicles can change lights however that is a completely different radio band near microwaves. This application does NOTHING. There are sensors embedded in the intersection that sense when you have stopped on top of it and therefore tells the CPU box that your waiting and incidently changes the light. You have ZERO input in controlling the light. Downloaded this application solely to clarify this point.

here's how to really do it install setcpu, switch phone into performance mode, install teslaled, swipe to strobe screen, set rate 4 ticks above 10, hold out window & strobe it

Tested on lights with sensor box directly after turning green and red, app works in Denton, Texas. Be sure your pointing at the right box.

Not every traffic light is equipped with the technology to receive emergency vehicle detection. Also each city can put in it's own code based on receiving their units. So if the app doesn't work it might be that light or city. GOOD app! ATRIX

Not possible. Our County uses Opticom. It uses led strobe patterns which allows for vehicle usage tracking. No infrared used.

Works on lights off the grid. This is more for smaller cities, but it works... Won't work on all lights, but it sure got me down the bipass quickly.
