PrankTxt for Android allows you to send a text SMS FROM any number, even international numbers! You get 1 token to try it out, with the option to easily earn or purchase more tokens afterwards. (does not use your sms quota!)
Works on limited carriers in the US (att, tmobile, ..) and most carriers abroad.
