Nerd Noise is a fun collection of random sounds associated with nerds and nerd like endeavors. The sounds are organized by major type: Computer, Radio, and Telephony, all wrapped in a monochrome green environment for nostalgia. Nerd Noise is both entertaining and educational!

[2012-11-04] A Google User: Outstanding! I am a huge fan of all sorts of "found sound," particularly those interesting noises that one hears while listening to shortwave radio (or old science fiction movies!). This app is a collection of some of the more interesting sounds that one may encounter while dialing through the deep back-roads of shortwave (Radio section), those telephone noises known to "phone phreakers" (Telephony section), and those great old sounds that computers used to make, such as the 14.4 and 56k modem (Computer section). Best of all, this app is free (but I would totally pay for a much more comprehensive version). Many thanks to the developer for creating this and making it available to the public. |
