[2013-05-30] A Google User: Great for older devices on Android 2.1 or lower I run this on a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini which is a 1st gen Android device: 600Mhz processor and only 128MB of RAM. Since I no longer use it as a phone I've repurposed it as a streaming music player. I tried the popular internet radio apps, and while they work, they're bloated and can be laggy in terms of responsiveness on such an underpowered device as this. I thought I was going to have to use A Online Radio, which works fine, but its interface is terrible. After a lot of searching I found mundu, and as of now it looks like it will be my streaming internet radio player of choice - at least on this device. Note that if a certain station doesn't work, it may be that the link you found (using the Discover function) is out of date. You can manually add a station as long as you know how to add the station's IP address. 4.5 stars because it could still use some work, and it seems that you have to create an account with mundu just to add favorites, but rounding up to 5 stars because I think this app deserves more attention. |

[2013-01-18] A Google User: Works half of the time If I sign in, my favorites are only there every once in a while, otherwise it says "no stations added". I can't even search for stations when that happens most times because it keeps saying "invalid request". If it does let me re-add my favorites (after constantly closing and reopening the app), the next time I sign in, it either kicks them all out again or it will have all of the stations that were missing before causing me to have to delete all of the repeats. Cool otherwise. |
